  • ER Doctor Jordan Wagner is back with ER doctor reacts to Cyanide & Happiness Compilation comic classics medical scenes by ExplosmEntertainment. Doctor Wagner, a real life emergency physician Cyanide and Happiness reaction / real doctor reacts to cyanide and happiness compilation, illnesses, and injuries. Real doctor watches CYANIDE AND HAPPINESS show and tells us what is accurate and what is not in these funny moments from best of Cyanide & Happiness Shorts by Explosm.
    Cyanide & Happiness (C&H) is a webcomic created by Rob DenBleyker, Kris Wilson, Dave McElfatrick, and Matt Melvin. The comic and animations use stick figure art to present graphic, dark, and often surreal humor which has been described as seeming to have no taste boundaries whatsoever. Cyanide and Happiness comics and Cyanide and Happiness memes navigate their fair share of injuries and doctor's appointments with Dr. Realdoctor but the accuracy of these medical scenes is questionable, to say the least. Doctor Wagner, a real life emergency physician from Experts React on Gamology will be watching and reacting to Cyanide and Happiness best moments from Heart Troubles, How To Tell If Your Wife Is Cheating, Late For Work, On The Spectrum, STDs, Taste of Your Own Medicine, Grandpa's First Skydive, Help! I'm Bleeding Out!, Crash Landing, The Bad Doctor, X-Ray, My Head Hurts!, The Morgue, and Can Doctors Pass This Test?. If you enjoyed this Cyanide and Happiness reaction mashup and want Dr. Jordan Wagner to continue making this doctor reaction series please give this video a like and leave a comment on which TV show or medical memes or just funny memes you'd like for him to review next.
    Cyanide and Happiness delivers daily comics to your face-hole on explosm.net since 2005! Cyanide and Happiness is a daily webcomic on www.explosm.net that was created by Rob DenBleyker, Kris Wilson, Dave McElfatrick and Matt Melvin in 2005.

    One thing I was taught when it comes to applying pressure to a bleeding area is that if you're going to apply something like gauze or bandages, makeshift or otherwise, you shouldn't remove what you've already applied. If the bleeding is seeping through and you need more, then you should add more on top of what you're already using, because applying something fresh directly to the wound will just cause more blood to be absorbed by what you're using instead of blocking the blood flow.

    • @faelwolf1177
      @faelwolf1177 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really helps to know pressure points in that situation, too, or how to apply a tourniquet.

    • @gurvmlk
      @gurvmlk ปีที่แล้ว

      @@faelwolf1177 Yes, I was taught some pressure points as well, but it was very basic first aid training in a class that's primary focus had nothing to do with first aid. We were only taught the first aid stuff as a precaution, because part of the class involved using bladed tools for things like woodworking, and grounds keeping.

    Question about bleeding out, specifically from a wound on a limb: Could tightly tying off the limb above the wound, like with a belt or something until paramedics arrive, also help slow blood loss?

    • @gnarthdarkanen7464
      @gnarthdarkanen7464 ปีที่แล้ว

      From a mix of Training from the USN and Wilderness First Aid, the current best thinking is that if you don't have a "proper" or "official" tourniquet on hand, the best alternative is a piece of durable cord (say... paracord or roughly 1/8 to 1/4 inch nylon braided line... eq 4 to 8 mm) and a dowel or stick. Tie the line with a loop around the stick and around the limb, and proceed to twist the line with the stick to tighten the binding until the bleeding stops or slows to nearly nothing... It's GOING to be uncomfortable if not outright painful. Then just about any way to keep the stick/dowel in place to maintain that tension...
      It should be noted about when it was applied, and someone "stationed on watch" with the patient at this point to loosen the binding (unwind the stick) a minute or so about every 15 to 30 minutes afterward if at all possible... A sharpie (or equivalent) can be used to write a quick note on the patient's clothing or skin for the time applied, and a "tick" can be tallied every time the tourniquet is loosened (yes, even the official medical equipment SHOULD be treated the same) after... until the EMS can arrive and the patient is passed over to them...
      This record keeps tabs on everything... They'll know almost instantly if it's about time to "work the wound" before attending their methods, or if they should get everything else attended and the wound can wait... since every tally mark means roughly 20 minutes passed since the tourniquet was applied, the math is relatively quick and simple if still imperfect...
      Lots of people are scared to DEATH of using a tourniquet of any kind or any such variation. They're actually VERY useful... It's also worth note, an alternative purpose for a tourniquet is to slow the blood flow to the effected limb so "wound packing" is a little easier and less messy, making the application of first aid more efficient and less wasteful over-all... Once packed, the tourniquet can be loosened a little at a time while the clotting and dressing action stabilize. I've done this before, too.
      It's only CRUCIAL that we remember timing and to "work that wound" (ie loosen and retighten the tourniquet every quarter to half hour)... ;o)

    That curved needle? I use one when I reupholster furniture. Calling 911 here in Costa Rica is a trip too. Ambulances and responding law enforcement can take a half hour to an hour. I learned quickly here to have a little bit crazier first aid kit here with old towels and lots of gauze in different sizes. Started doing this after seeing a motorcycle accident and none of us stopped by the accident had anything to staunch the bleeding. I'd forgotten how much head injuries bleed!

He still has part of the wire in him because they couldn't get it out without causing permanently damaged muscle tissue so Dylan told them to just leave it in... I don't know if that's safe or whether the doctors actually let him go with it but, he's like 6ft 10in and has Dwayne Johnson muscles, so he's pretty intimidating... I believe him...

    Great way to start a year, Doc'... Cyanide and Happiness ... HEY maybe (since you said you hadn't been to the morgue)... You should take us along on a tablet or whatever for a tour of a morgue... Ask A Mortician's Caitlin Doughty has been to several such places, but it's kind of expected with the channel "territory"...
    It might give you a good reason to talk to an M.E. and explore some of the spooky tales OR the antics... They can have a very DRY sense of humor with regards to a "new guy"... hahahaha... ;o)

    Got a new request!
    Been Rewatching the 2005 Show: "Flight 29 Down" and in Season 1 Episode 7, it showcases a Tropical Rash, and Shellfish Alergies.
    Would be cool to see your analysis on it!
    (The Show is Free on Tubi, if you needed to know)

    Your videos are amazing! You should check JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, they have lots of medical things in the series

    When they said, we have done the X-rays and we can see nothing, I thought that that meant that the patient had no bones. Patient collapses immediately. I still think my version of the joke is more likely (or better) than what Doctor ER is pointing out. For the joke starting at 5:21.
    Also, why do they ask for a doctor on the plane. In that situation, I would think a pilot is more useful.

    Ah yes, the classics. Do they have any videos about cyanide poisoning, I wonder?

    The X-ray skit was that the x-ray showed nothing, as in he had no bones. So when he got up he fell over because there was no skeleton to hold him up.

    I would love to see you react to the injuries in Werewolf the Apocalypse: Earthblood as a lot of the injuries both done by lead Garou/Werewolf Protagonist Cahal, are pretty brutal when you think about it Cahal while yes he can choke you out or kill via his crossbow in his human/Homid form some of his most brutal kills come from when he's in his wolf-man/Crinos form including ripping a Endron goon in half, and beating a Black Spiral Dancer to death with his bare hands.
