Animated series "Family Guy" features the adventures of the Griffin family. Endearingly ignorant Peter (Seth MacFarlane) and his stay-at-home wife Lois (Alex Borstein) reside in Quahog, R.I., and have three kids. Meg (Mila Kunis), the eldest child, is a social outcast, and teenage Chris (Seth Green) is awkward and clueless when it comes to the opposite sex. The youngest, Stewie (MacFarlane), is a genius baby bent on killing his mother and destroying the world. The OG Mr. Potatohead was a box of eyes, feet, arms, noses, mouths, and hats to stick on any potatoes you had in the kitchen.
When I was in my early 20s, I drank a bottle of rum every night to sleep (I have chronic idiopathic insomnia). I had great grades in college and nobody knew about my alcoholism. One day, my mother tells me "(my real name here), I was talking to my psychologist and she wants to offer you a deal" My reaction was "Meh, what the hell, what do I have to lose". My binge drinking lasted for a year and a half. I entered into a drug program and the psychiatrist asked me what was my goal. I wanted to drink, but responsible. In the year of treatment, I drank 0 alcohol, ads about alcohol didn't made me want to drink, I went cold turkey. She ordered a couple of tests and, lucky for me, my liver was just behind the "chronic damage" line. The treatment had a minimum duration of a year. I feel lucky that a series of events just aligned for me to treat my alcoholism, and I don't know why I went from drinking a bottle of rum to not drinking at all. Now I'm in my early 30s, my liver doesn't have any permanent damage and I can stop drinking once I feel a little tipsy.
It's never too late to stop drinking. Everybody around you will, most likely, support you in any way they can and there are medical professionals whose sole purpose is to treat drug addiction (alcoholism in this case). Also, I wish you the best. If I did it, trust, you can too.
It gives me odd vibes reading that, because my neighbour is having alcoholism, despite she was having a real noble job before (something about working in HQ of large TV channel in my country, whatever)
3:54 -- I remembered another moment in the Family Guy between Peter and Brian. The battle between Brian and Peter (there is a cut about it on TH-cam). Despite the speed, they, as befits the show, were delivered very well (blows, blood, etc.)

I got hit by a train back in September and while I was in the ER, one of my doctor's (there was alot of medical staff around me) recommended your channel to kill time. Been watchin since, and this with a couple other channels helped me focus on something besides the trauma.

My Pops (grandpa) died of ALS my freshman year of highschool after fighting it for 4 years. It sucked. There’s currently no cure either. He was (and still is) a role model to me. Last thanksgiving we finally put his ashes to rest at his church along with other relatives who had past. I wouldn’t wish ALS on someone or wish they had to deal with a loved one having ALS because it’s torture seeing them slowly degrade. I’m almost 21 now and he missed all of my major milestones which sucks cause he loved seeing me grow so much.

My father drank a lot and had a pretty bad liver and after a while of NOT drinking, his liver got better and cleared up really good!! ☺️☺️

Last June I was bit on the face by a dog I was pet sitting and needed 2 hours of reconstructive surgery to my eyelids, and my right tear duct had been shredded, and needed two stents to keep it open. 6 days prior I broke up a VICIOUS dog fight between a dane and a ridgeback, and got bit on the ankle. I have a perfect bite mark on it, and it’s pretty cool

I was watching Walker Texas Ranger the other day, and saw this piece of wood while letting my dog out. It looked so kickable, and I was hopped up on episodes of Walker, so I gave it a go. I kicked a nail right through the bottom of my foot. I think the moral of the story is, don't pretend to be Chuck Norris. Next time I kick something I'm sticking with a good ol' "Roadhouse!"

I was actually bitten by a dog when I was a kid. I was riding my bike down the street when one of my rich neighbor's THIRTY dogs knocked me off and bit my leg that wasn't pinned between my bike and the hot pavement. I still have the scar from when it happened. I haven't ridden a bike since.

Zits and acne. I’ve had them ever since adolescence. And I’ve had to use acne treatment for as long as I can remember. Part of it are the foods I eat, but the main part is side effects of medication I take for my epilepsy.
