Ruins Greatsword, Gargoyle halberd, and the Nightriders glaive all get a S scaling in strength.
The Ripple Crescent halberd and Ripple blade both get a S scaling in arcane of all things at the cost of no innate bleed build.
The Urumi whip gets a S scaling in dex
Theres a few others as well but I like these

i'm not 100% sure, but i think Moonveil and Dark moon get S scaling in INT
@@Dile0303 Nah nothing gets even an A in INT besides staffs. But let's face it, wizards don't really need super good weapon scaling anyway.

@@pedropaulo13220 Btw higher scaling don't mean you'll have more damage neccesarily. Often a weapon with only B or A scaling can have a higher AR than a S scaling weapon of the same type due to higher base damage. For example the Colossal Greatsword gets "only" A scaling in strength with heavy infusion but it has the highest physical damage of any colossal sword I believe, even more than the Ruins Greatsword.
Similarly while the Nightriders glaive has S scaling in strength, the guardian sword spear which has an A scaling in Dex does more damage with 80 strength vs 80 dex.
At this point Im just here for the vibes, the showcase is a bonus.

Is it better than the greatsword? I think the moveset is similar except watchdog's R2 is vertical while greatsword's is horizontal, also watchdog's a bit shorter.
@@raistlinmajere9698 unfortunately, Greatsword outclasses every single colossal sword in terms of damage and range despite its lower scaling. BUT the GUGS' R2 (at least in my opinion) is pretty much useless, so you're trading off higher damage for a more limited moveset. (that being said, the best overall moveset is probably the Zweihander's with its poke R2s, but it's also among the least damaging colossal swords. same range as GUGS tho.)
Finally! I kindly suggested it like 40 weapons ago. Though at this point is safe to say he will showcase every last melee weapon in the game, except St. Trina’s torch.

Considering how many weapons there are in this game, and accounting for future DLC, I don't think this series is going anywhere anytime soon

The Nagakiba has a very long sheath while the Hand of Malenia doesn't. Looking for that makes it easier to see what people are using.
It's kind of odd that so few weapons have exceptionally good scaling like this does when you think about it.
I can't even think of many weapons that get A scaling, let alone a proper S scaling like this bad boy.
Despite that, everything does so much more damage in ER than DS...Maybe that's why they reduced scaling.
I reckon it's time we challenged Chase with something goofy. Dual Anchors! Become the Elden Pirate!

Scaling matters as much as the weapon's base damage.
See the difference between this one and the Greatsword?
This is a front loaded weapon, low base DMG but high scaling. It means you have to commit to a str build to get anything out of it. Most weapons are balanced or back loaded, meaning there's a good base damage on top of which you get the scaling damage.
Dual anchors isn't really a challenge tbh, they're pretty good. The added pierce damage combined with jumping attacks + claw talisman puts out some crazy damage

Prelate hammer charged attack into lions claw is an excellent poise combo

U noticed the commander guy was running the light load tear or swapped gear to something that made him medium roll at the end

the watchdog staff/greathammer would be cool too. its a greathammer with a ranged magic attack as the ash, but it still seems to scale with strength even on that
These thumbnails look super good! Btw did you consider trying some mods out? A modded playthrough may be super fun
I like this one a lot. I run it on a shout build with trolls shout. I amp it up with shout medallion, Alexander shard, and Highlander ax👌🏻

A friend of mine showed me this since this was the weapon I used when I beat the game for the first time. I did some testing with this and the Greatsword (A.K.A. Guts Sword) and found that the Guts sword is stronger when 2 handing, but the Watchdogs is stronger when 1 handing. Once I discovered this I farmed for a 2nd one and it is super fun to use (You can even get the buff from the wing sword insignia because of how consecutivly they hit.) VERY good for PVE, but I haven't taken the time to test it in PVP.

Bricklayer hammer gets S in strength when heavy if I remember. I definitely enjoyed that for a good part of my build

Day 11 of asking for dagger. Id love to see the great knife, when keen it has an S scaling in dex. And as a blood infusion it has one of the highest bleed buildups of any of the daggers. Haven't seen you parry alot which was so reliable in ds3 and still is in elden ring. Love these showcases Chase :D
Chase is the master of effortlessly having all the difficult to farm weapons. I will say, try the mantis blade. It is awful sir.
Well, I think the pvp youtubers use certain "tools" to get all these weapons.
mantis blade does kinda suck but it can look cool with the right character.

@@subject8776 with talismans and fowl feet you can get even 1% or 2% drop chances in 15 min of farming, it's really not that wild. Rot pellets though are a stupidly annoying to farm though.
@@sjofas Why would anyone buy gear in these games? Just save edit and drop to a legit character. Or drop from another character and save reset. Or get it from a fan. Seller sites are scams preying on idiots.
With Lightning Slash, you have to basically bait them onto rolling into you. I've 1 shotten with that before, it can be lethal, but inconsistent.
I love how the banished knight in the last invasion pulled a quick t bag on the host 😹

The lions Claw works awesome for punishing the waterfowl dance. If you initiate it immediately after the waterfowl starts, you should only take one hit and flatten the opponent
Not a weapon per se, but can you do the Carian sword sorceries? Slicer, piercer, and great sword? It’d be amazing if you can make it work
Question, with Gs with high guard, is there an advantage to guarding over rolling?
I saw a guy using lightning slash and they only pulled it off with trades.
Also apparently Lightning Slash Zweihander into Placidusax's Ruin is a true combo lol.

Can u show a dual collosal set up (or even a few since they have different move sets axe/sword/hammer) I love the extra damage and versatility of mixing the one handed and two handed attacks.

I like this sword a lot. it's one of the few colossals (alongside Zweihänder) which feels colossal but doesn't look over-the-top ridiculously fat and chunky.
I have those d-pad misinput shenanigans as well. In pve, the way torrent and the lantern are mapped makes me often accidentally turn on the lantern.

A weapon that's outclassed by the Greatsword in pretty much every way, if it had strength requirements of 24, it could have seen some use as an infusion weapon for builds that don't specialize in strength.

For weapons like this in particular that have a very similar sister weapon (the greatsword in this case), I'd love if you could tell us something about what makes it unique... If it has a unique moveset, or a different kind of scaling, or something that would make one more desirable than the other.

have you ever faced greatshield focused builds? do people use them at all? and what is your opinion on them?
Greatshields are extraordinarily good in elden ring, far better than they were in Dark Souls III. Get a greatshield and a heavy thrusting sword, use the greatshield talisman and the spear talisman. You can shield poke and trade and very favorably match up against anything. PvE becomes very easy, PvP also easy
It’s a fashion and personal choice to rock this bad boy, but I’m surprised with how often it one shots.

fun fact: the heavy watchdog's greatsword has 24% more scaling with strength than the heavy greatsword, but because the ar calculation takes into account base damage (even for the scaling portion) and the greatsword has much higher base damage, the greatsword still has more AR at any strength investment.... It already has a massive range advantage, idk why from balances its weapons so poorly

I kinda feel like Lions Claw should have a hit stun on that initial slam down, so you that if you hit that you'll get the follow up slam guaranteed. I don't know if it should deal damage or not but I do think a bit stun would be a good addition
Watchdogs gets b str scaling even when cold infused. Pair that with chilling mist ash of war and you will be producing frost in 2 hits :)
Great Mace and Brick Hammer get high Strength and Arcane scalings when Occult.

Powerstancing Golem Halberd is so cool. They look very menacing.
Brick scales well with strength and arcane both when Occult. Same for the Great Mace.

Despite the S scaling in strength on this weapon, it never exceedes in AR in comparison to the Greatsword. Wish they made it so that it outscaled at like 80 strength ro something

Does anyone else think incantations need some sort of buff? Obviously not damage because they are very powerful, but watching chases duels and in my own experience it seems very very difficult to ever land one in PvP, except the rock sling. Everything has such a long cast time, I know it’s to balance, but they just feel awful to use in PvP. Maybe less damage but faster casting? Not sure how to go about it but it’s something I’ve been thinking about
I love the looks of this weapon. I've never made a build that uses one but I'd really like to. Less AR than the guts but with the standard colossal sword chop down R2 which I prefer over what the guts has. Both are fantastic weapons and I love my Guts PVE build but I know I'd like this better.
