If you're wondering about that one duelist with the straight sword swap, they were using the miquellan knight sword. It has a fancy R2 that dashes forward when charged, somber weapon with sacred blade
A half an hour showcase. Oh boy a treat for me!
One of the duels was a whole AOE boss fight and also a dude healing like 3 times.
I have to say that Vyke cosplay is one of the best cosplays I've seen in these showcases so far.
I recommend St Trina's Torch for it is unincorporated

i agree, the stick brick is a great bonk weapon.... i actually wound up using it all over the place in PvE... works just as well in PvP

It's funny, I read that "bow" as the gesture "bow", and all I could picture was Chase running around head-butting people, although I'm pretty sure gestures don't do damage, LOL.
This doesn't apply to this weapon specifically but I thought you guys might be interested as it is about swords. I just came back from a trip to Nagoya and Gifu, where I went to Atsuta shrine. Part of the shrine is the sword museum, and right at the end you can try holding and lifting all types of Japanese swords (of course) ranging from a wakizashi to an odachi. They are tied down so no psychos get funny ideas but if anyone thought fat rolling was a gaming exaggeration, think again. The odachi is incredibly heavy, just trying to lift it requires a massive effort, never mind swinging it around. It was something like two meters long, and seeing a real one was quite a treat.
They missed the opportunity to call this The Greatfork

Chase when you’re in a swamp that slows your movement like that rot area in the Haligtree, you can still backstep, so just face the opposite direction you want to go and then backstep to safety. Much faster than walking!

U can hyper armor trade w vykes aow (i always test stuff w vykes) its funny landing lions claw trade, or if u dont wanna proc keep a beast roar to chip damage/punish. Lol its funny cause u have to showcase whatever u got and that depends what ashes u got on the weapons…

I always dismissed this weapon because of its low AR. On seeing this video I used a build calculator to compare dual blood iron greatswords (STR/ARC) to dual occult forked greatswords (pure ARC).
I used a vagabond with Chase's armor from this video at level 125. As I suspected, despite the forked swords weighing less (and therefore needing less endurance to mid roll), the AR and bleed on the iron was better, but not by much. If you're wanting to do a build that uses incantation with the dragon communion seal, or sorceries with the albinauric staff, and you want bleed greatswords as well, this isn't bad.
Just bare in mind the gap in AR would widen at higher levels. The Iron loves STR and I could only give it 40 for this comparison. Still, I would use this sword. It looks cool.
One of the imps dropped this so i used it and upgraded it, it's ripping through everything I have met yet.

This kinda solves a riddle for me. "What's a good weapon to try for a Strength/Arcane build playthrough?" So far I've been using the Banished Knight's Halberd +8 from Edgar's questline for the AoW on it with Bloodflame buff on it with a Flying Spaghetti Monster themed character using the Land Octopus headpiece.
The variety of weird interesting weapons never ceases to amaze me

Wondering when we'll see the star fist. Fist weapons are so hard to use effectively, but the bleed might offset.
The Vyke duel was almost like a boss fight, with the second phase being melee

Hey Chase, the Sword of Night & Flame reminded me of this other one. It's similar to the Marriah Carrey G.sword only it's a strait sword. Sorry I forgot what it's called but it's located at the conclusion of a cave, which emerges onto a beach in Limgrave...

Erdsteel daggers with a fire or faith affinity get a B scaling (in faith) and hit pretty hard for a pair of daggers
Probably is my favorite build. Prophet + 2 dex and rest mostly faith/ health. Black flame hits hard AF and the dagger obliterates undead.
The heavy attack can stagger a bunch and is fun to use. The riposte damage is pretty damn good too.
Black knife(same stats to use as erdsteel) w/erdsteel dagger + the mausoleum set(or black knife chest) w/ a hood.

Also do you know if The blood-like Arcane damage, such as the Ash of War on Reduvia is it's own class of damage, as in it inflicts the damage of the bleed effect ie lightning weapons deal lightning damage or is it purely physical damage affected by arcane stat?

Okay this is like my 4th time watching this showcase. Idk if it's just me but the shape is just so cool for this weapon not go mention that I swear it helps to translate the weight of them through the screenm
Yo Chase, I faced that Madness Lionel's guy, what an absolute joke, he was disguised as a statue, thinking I didn't see him, when he was near I turned to the statue and waved, he continued to move in statue form and I did the collapse emote. He used the madness grab and it only took like 1/3 of my health. What a joke. He could have acknowledged that I spotted him and wave or bow or something but no, spamming madness spells until the blue came and I left. No respect for anything.
This sword is the bane of my Elden farming existence. I farmed for it for over an hour and a half one day. It never dropped and I finally got sick of fighting through all those imps. I don't even really play with arcane builds much. I just want it cuz it looks cool and I like great swords
I went in cliffbottom catacombs, fairly early in the game, first sword I found. The second imp I killed dropped it, don't know if that's for all games or I was just lucky - upgraded it to 14+, put the wild strike ash on it, been ripping through things since, including godrick the grafted.
Have you tried stromcaller aow? its really good in invasions when on greatswords. I used it on a bleed infused banished knight greatsword and it was pretty nasty.

Chase you gotta do the clinging bone the AOW is probably the most rewarding (satisfaction wise) to land
You can put that Ash on other weapons as well, I enjoy it in Pve for easy heals.
Do the short spear! It's R2 is super fast, multi-hit, and combos with storm stomp. It works really well for status infusions and it has some of the lowest stat requirements possible. I use it on my int build and it's great with cold.
When are you gonna try out that awesome Ash of War : Sword hit?
Ive had this gs drop twice in a total of 6 playthroughs. Its the rarest weapon to drop for me… btw way a showcase of axe of godrick would be nice. Great ash of war, range, and fashionable as heck; although weak with low lvl quality builds, on a dedicated quality build on the 150 lvl, 60/60 str/dex, its the second strongest axe for quality.

I always liked how those swords looked, but when I got my own and tried it, it just felt underwhelming. Still, cool to see it doing work. Well done! Also, this is the second time in one of your showcases that someone started healing during a duel. Each time, my jaw drops. I don't even duel in ER, and I know the damn rules.
It's pretty much the flamberge, but worse. On the brightside it does look super funky in a cool way.
I dueled a guy the other day that healed, so after the fight I politely messaged him that it was not an acceptable action in duels, and he actually apologized and said he didn't know. And he thanked me. Wadda you know.

I don’t mind healing in duels ONLY as a concede to defeat and you want to start over (IE down to last hit, knowing you lost anyway and then both ppl reset) but you kinda have to be on the same page you can’t just spring it on someone

Hey chase when the opponent is low on health and does that vyke AOW don’t be afraid to jump on em and finish him off with a jump attack. The ash of war shouldn’t stun you out of your jump as long as you jump over the flames on the ground
