Really want to see a more extensive vid of the difference between oculink and usb4 performance in various games with the onexgpu2. From the few you showed in this video being able to run at 1440p ultra via usb4 is not bad. Should work well with a lenevo legion go it seems.

@@chriswright8074 the PS5 is RDNA 2 it supports Mesh Shaders that's why Alan Wake 2 came out on PS5 in the first place, let alone the PS5 Pro which has a 60CU RDNA 3 GPU, the 7800M is a 60CU RDNA 3 GPU, all specs match
      Same 3840 shading units
      Same 240 texture mapping units
      Same 60 compute units
      Same RDNA 3.0 architecture
      Same 180W TDP
Only difference is that the 7800M has 96 render output units while the PS5 Pro will have 64, but the PS5 Pro has a 256 bit memory bus while the 7800M has 192 bit so the slight disparities even out

Not really, it is best to get another usb C and simply wait for the much needed bandwidth increase in thunderbolt 5. Oculink is a horrible port for a handheld due to how finicky the usage is. On a mini PC it’s great, but on a handheld not really.

Nice, but instead of these bottlenecking connections full PCIE communication interface should be used. Beelink GTi14 addressed it pretty well by enabling full PCIE slot, however some kind of smaller docking station version should replace it for mobile handleds.
Pairing mobile APUs/SoCs with dedicated PCIE GPUs is clearly the future and ideally in AMDs case iGPU together with the dedicated GPU should work in tandem and combine their CUs and possibly even combine their memory. Hopefully a future unique feature AMD will finally deliver as it would most sense to promote their APU + GPUs sales over competition.

I think the same and there is also an external power adapter which the G1 doesn't have as it's integrated. However the performance of this is much higher and it may require more space for cooling. If there is anything comparable that you know about, then let me know. I don't think there is which is why this is probably a solid package.
