    very interesting. Im nervous about that bumper issue, i actually was excited to see the v2 controller had a thicker piece of plastic that connects the bumpers, it though it fixed the reliability issue on these. Also surprised that your rubber grip didnt fell off.

    • @Spartan117Echo
      @Spartan117Echo  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've never had issues with those rubber grips on any controller over the years, but had a buddy who's had it happen to every single one, so not sure what the difference is, what's in my sweat or how hard I push or something.
      The bumper connect is different so I can say they didn't try but for whatever reason it still has issues. Certainly something to consider but it is the best controller I've ever used.

    Any recommendations on if the elite 2 or core is better? I’m switching over from my ps4 to an xbox x/s and am unsure of which to get. Also do you know if it’s better value to potentially get the series x/s with the 24 month ultimate game pass or the x/s that already comes with a elite controller?

    • @Spartan117Echo
      @Spartan117Echo  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 24 months of gamepads would be better from a value perspective, and Game Pass Ultimate is stellar I have it myself.
      I would get the full Elite 2 controller if you don't have one already so you get the full set of paddles and sticks to customize how you want.
      That'd be what I recommend!
      If you do get one use the affiliate link in the description if you can 😁

    The problem is button degradation(bumpers, joystick, axyb). But sadly every high dollar controller deals with that. I still have no idea if I should get a new elite or a scuf/beaver.

    • @Spartan117Echo
      @Spartan117Echo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Totally get that, the Elite Core controller is at least a nice way to get one that's cheaper if you still have working extra joysticks and paddles etc.
      I had a buddy in high school that just chewed up regular 360 controllers in a matter of weeks or months and mine lasted years, sometimes it's just how hard you are on them which you can't totally control.....

  • @rayzer8271
    @rayzer8271 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    I've owned one of these in the past, but the bumpers died on me after around 5 months of use. I treated the thing like my own child. I was never heavy-handed with it and always put it in the case after use. It really sucked since I saved for a few months to buy one. The controller felt great and had a premium weighty feel to it. I'd love to get one again, but since seeing so many comments on this video with similar experiences, I just can't bring myself to making such an expensive purchase again. Hopefully, any of you that get this don't have the same experience as myself. However, if you do, please get warranty coverage.

    I’ve been playing kbm for 3 years now, and have gotten bored… just picked up a elite 2 and don’t know wether I’m getting full value for my money with this controller? I was comparing it to the dual sense edge, and the pros of the elite 2 are just better. And the elite 2 is more widely available in retail stores, while the $200 dual sense edge hasn’t even dropped retail yet.

    this is a short lifespan controller in my experience. after a year and a half the rubberized grips started peeling off and exposing the lattice framework of thin flimsy plastic underneath. you cant even super glue the rubber grip back down bc theres nothing to glue it to that will hold. then the thin plastic underneath began to break apart slowly. after a little over 2 years, the controller was almost too broken to play with. it was more electrical tape than controller. i will never buy another controller with rubberized grips. otherwise i absolutely loved this controller. never got stick drift. i like the weight and how it feels in my hands. but the whole controller falling apart thing is a deal breaker
