Hi!
I really like the size of the Corsair Ironclaw but I think the quality isn't very good, I ran into issues on the middle click after around a year of usage (also had some issues with the keyboaard), finally the fabric of the mouse is impossible to clean. I am switching to a Razer Basilisk now and see how it goes, it is a little smaller than the ironclaw but well.
I don’t have any idea what you’re talking about I have an Xbox series X and this headset and I get game/chat Through the headset with no problem no wires connected to the controller. Am I missing something??? You can connect Xbox to discord. I know this video is a year old so maybe it wasn’t working like that back then? you don’t need an hdmi splitter? Again, am I missing something? Is it because this video is old?
Does the headset work through gamechat in games like overwatch and fortnite? I wanna buy the headset, and I use a series x but only really play with friends through gamechat since they have ps5
@@aaaa-bt4de don’t play OW but Fortnite yes it does….
@jimskee44 what method did you use to connect it to the series x? I’ve tried the optical from the tv to the base station and nothing. The only way I got any sound was using the Jack cable in the controller
@@pr0xy47 I just use the USB cable to the Xbox to the back of the mix amp where it says Xbox. I don't use the optical cable. Maybe i am missing what the problem is?
@@jimskee44 I tried that USB cable in every port on the Xbox to no avail, plus there isn’t anything named / labelled Xbox on the mixer. Only way I got any sound was with the splitter I purchased today. What source did you select? PS4 / PS5 / PC / AUX
Would I need to use a HDMI splitter like you said to talk with my buddies in game chat on COD? Been 2 weeks looking up how to get my SteelSeries arctis nova pro wireless for Xbox to work, they hear me fine in the lobby but soon as we load in to a game they can’t hear me, but I can hear them. Works in Xbox party chat or Discord. If you can help I’ll appreciate it.Thanks
Did you really just try to make an audio tuturial while speaking into that potato can?
Spartan117Echo, cool video keep up the amazing content
im at moment debating at getting new gaming mouse, have big hands ,in the past ,razer mice where too small for big hands , been using logitech s700 but time for a change as getting old, looking at razer basillisk v3 wired or corsair ironclaw wireless , only difference i see is ironclaw has abit more lag, is slightly higher and wider . size wise ironclaw bigger but razer has better lag score , is the razer basillik v3 wired good for big hands
cheers from denver. Just scooped one on Facebook market place from an adult games who's kids wanted to game but aren't built that way. I picked it up yesterday morning before going to work 69 bucks. 🎉deal on wheels
Trash controller. Over engineered, overpriced and with HORRIBLE quality control...
My game sound works with the aux cord but mic isn’t working it doesn’t even have the error that it’s not picking up a mic it’s just not working
I have my headphones connected to my controller but can’t hear anything
Weird! It's the older Arctis Pro Wireless, not the newer Nova?
Spartan117Echo, You're amazing! Let's be friends and have fun together!
Sure thing!
Spotify is linked to Music in WaveLink.... however, when I go to OBS and click on audio input the Wave Link Music is not there?
Hmmm I haven't run into that before. It can be hard to find the one you're looking for sometimes, just try and triple check the list.
@@Spartan117Echookay, so tell me.... how do you regulate the OBS audio with your Stream Deck? Cause Elgato told me if you do it like you show in the video, you can't.
Fr😂
Nice aim
Thanks Potato! Hope to see you again next stream :)
Nice
Thanks
im on my 3rd rma razer deathstalker v2 pro had to rma my viper ultimate twice never had a faulty corsair product
That's crazy! I'm still on my Razer Mouse and KB without any issues but was constantly having trouble with Corsair. Luck of the draw I guess
Hi, I have a Arctis Nova Pro and an Xbox Series X. I am using a Custom Sound EQ preset on the DAC. I do not want to use any other software such as Dolby atmos etc. When I go to Xbox audio settings, which do you recommend I should run? Thanks!
There should be an uncompressed option or something like that, I would give that a go.
I have a wireless steelseries and plug in using a 3.5 mm cable into the Xbox controller. I get audio but my mic stops working. How do you fix this ?
I dont get audio from the aux whatever and when i plug in wireless with these things when i talk it sounds like im in a walkie talkie
You're on the Arctis Pro Wireless or Nova Pro Wireless? The Nova just needs to be USB plugged into your console and that should work.
That's super strange I've tried it myself multiple times and never had issues like that.
5:10 about the Logitech mouse, the quality is nice for an office mouse, but once that “gaming” logo is slapped on there, that an additional $50-$100. 😅
Oh totally! 😆
I've used the M65 and the Sabre RGB Wireless, and I was very satisfied. I was on the market for a while for a lightweight one and finally splurged for the Viper Mini SE. IMO both brands are good, Razer tends to overprice their products, though. But if you're looking for the best and most advanced wireless tech, Razer is the way to go.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate you dropping you commenting on your experience. Hopefully it helps someone else!
😄 *Promo SM*
So if you just have console so you need a splitter
To make the older Arctis Pro Wireless headset that connects via Optical that's correct, you need to split out the optical connection from HDMI and that's the best way to do that!
Jesus man. Ten minutes just to answer a simple question.
IDK man, I make the video shorter and I get a million questions asking to clarify. Figured I'd rather give more info than less.
My microphone won’t work in party chat, and I don’t hear my friends in discord but my mic works. WTF ?
That's very odd. Is this the Nova Pro Wireless?
@@Spartan117Echo nah I use the nova pros on my pc. This is the arctis 7 pros from 2018 I think. It’s very odd. I got my mic and chat to work with discord but still no mic with Xbox parties
I’m at a point where I’m also choosing between a Razer and Corsair mouse at the moment, specifically the Basilisk V3 and the M65 RGB Ultra. I was choosing a keyboard recently and it was between a Razer one and the Steelseries apex pro, I went with a Razer because I have a Razer mouse at the moment and I love continuity, now I’ll probably end up going with the basilisk because I have a Razer keyboard 😂 a vicious circle
Honestly the best experience for everyone is probably to mix and match, but it's so much better when everything works in the same RGB software!
I have the Corsair elite too, only oine though, my last mouse was a Logiteck t button, this one6 buttone and thre counter weoghts :) personallly I have all teh weights in mine, I dont constantly game though, I also order parts and use mine for general use and I'm not constantly on m computer either but, so far so good
I really do love the way the weights work on that mouse, glad it's working well for one and thanks for watching!
d\ @Spartan117Echo Your welcome, so far though no problms, but if it does I might get the Razer, my mechanical keyboard died, I assume from not enough gaming because it wasnt the game keys that stopped working, so I bought the Razer ORANTA keyboard and I love it
i shave with a razer not a corsair
😂😂
I have one of these and it has a sticker on the box that reads “designed for XBOX” yet I’ve come to learn it doesn’t work with Xbox at all? And no I don’t have the Nova I have the Arctis. This shit makes no sense at all and Steelseries will not be getting my money again
So the older Arctis Pro Wireless headset isn't directly Xbox compatible. However the newer Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is indeed and should work fine plugged in via USB. They probably could have done a better job naming the Nova Pro Wireless so there's a clearer distinction lol. Hope that helped
@Spartan117Echo Do you see the contradition? if the box says "designed for XBOX" but the headset isn't directly compatible with xbox as you say, then who is lying?
A question not related to the video but that has to do with the steelseries arctis wireless, is it normal to hear a slight interference in the headphones when they are on? I just bought them now and I hear a slight background interference sound.
The Arctis Pro Wireless, not the Nova Pro? I know the Nova has active noise cancelling so that might be it. If you're on the older Arctis Pro Wireless, make sure your gain is at about 50% and the chat balance is no more than about 60/40 or 70/30. That should keep that dull white noise down.
I have the nova pro wireless connected to an Xbox series X and for some reason I can’t get the chat feature to work. They can hear me, but I can’t hear them. The sound from the game sounds fine. It’s just the chat.
I would check and make sure you have the Xbox version and not the PS5 one, there's different hardware inside to make ti work. If you do have that Xbox one make sure it's plugged into the Xbox port and not the other USB one, it wouldn't work if not.
@@Spartan117Echoit says designed for xbox right on the box, so we can eliminate that one. 👍 I just checked and yes it’s in the Xbox port. There’s two usb ports behind the Xbox. Is there a difference between those two? Also there’s the one in front, but I use that one to charge my controller. Should I use that one instead? Like said, the sound works great, I’m just having issues hearing others. Thx for helping!
@@tatooweeny sounds like you've got it set up right, maybe there's something in the Xbox settings to make sure it's picked as your mic? I'd check steel series support beyond that
@@Spartan117Echo I fixed the problem! Apparently you have to select “Allow Passthrough”, plus under Chat Mixer, select “Do Nothing” regarding volume reductions. I’m guessing it probably conflicted with the headphone mixer, but whatever the case is it works now in Parties & Chats, plus Discord. Thx for your help!
Thanks, same issue with my corsair m65. middle mouse wheel won't click anymore. I love the heavy weight of it though and I also have icue software, so will be a coin flip between razor or roll the dice on Corsair again.
It's really tough, I went back a couple of times but am happy I finally switched
It is very hard to take this video serious when the audio is so horrible...
Haha, yeah I got a cheap lapel mic that really didn't work out.
I didn't understand very well, when I do this the Xbox group chat doesn't work either? or just proximity chat in games like warzone?
Sure, so if you do this you can get Xbox Party chat to work, it would just be through your phone (via bluetooth) or your computer. If you want proximity chat to work you have to plug it in via Aux.
i used to be a razer fan, i loved their kraken wireless, and the ornata, tho it died on me quickly, i loved their naga series, i had the green and black tournament edition, but man oh man they are cheaply made, i went through 3 nagas and a naga trinity. the only good razer keyboard is the huntsmen elite, the black widow wasn't to bad, but man oh man it died on me quickly. i hate the razer synpase 3 software, i used to like synapse 2, but they went to 3, and left out support for a lot of products. eventually i went with corsair, i love my k65 pro mini keyboard. and i do use a scimitar rgb, but i am going to the wireless soon. and the mini wireless. for the clean look. i have the mm700 mouse mat, and the rgb mouse pad, yes for the rgb lol. all my fans are rgb in a lian li dynamic evo, with p sp120 rgb fans, hooked up to 2 commander xt cores. i am using a meg liquid right now, but that thing is trash. all in all razer is the expensive cheap brand for me, and i am never going back.
Very interesting that we've had opposite experiences, thanks for adding to the conversation. Another year in and I still feel great about my mouse and kb. Doesn't feel like there's been any breakdown, where this same period I went through 3 Corsair mice. My Corsair keyboard though was my own fault for spilling a drink on it 😂 I think it comes down to just luck if the draw in what switches get installed in the one you buy.
Ok let me make sure, because I've still time to cancel mine. The Arctis Pro wireless can not be used to talk to my friends wirelessly? Whether that's in game chat, or private xbox party, unless I plug a wire in? And with that, reducing the quality of my audio? Is that correct? You're the only person I see highlighting this on youtube, so thanks Edit.. mine is the arctis nova pro wireless.. does that make a difference?
Yep it sure does! The Nova Pro Wireless can work wireless directly with your Xbox, you just have to make sure you have the Xbox version, and not the Playstation one. This is for the older Arctis Pro Wireless, before the Nova one came out.
@@Spartan117Echo brilliant! Thanks very much.. yeah, the xbox version is conveniently labelled "x" on the retailer of my choice, but I appreciate the reply my friend.. keep up the good work.
Of course, thanks for watching
@@Spartan117Echonice so the nova pro wireless will work with Xbox party chat without a pc or connected to a phone
That's really cool. Does it charge my controller?
It doesn't directly, only if you have the elite series 2 controller with that charging base, that fits into the dock and you can charge it there.
@@Spartan117Echo Ok so it is built to accept my charging station then with space for the cord and everything?
@@kamjensen33 yeah exactly 👍
Thank you for sharing your own experience. Thats helps a lot. Just like you, I started with Corsair, a Scimitar model and loved his texture, grip, even the iCUE software. But I decided to try somenting new, and Razer looks nice, famous and should be an obvious choice. Well, after some time playing FFXIV, where I need to use all of sidebuttons, macros, etc... I felt a little discomfort after few hours on gameplay. So I tried to use some grip tapes on it but it didn't work. The Razer Naga Trinity doesn't fill my hand completely. Only then I figured it out that Scimitar and Naga have different grips. The Scimitar have perfect palm and claw grips (that I use) and Naga have only palm grip. Well, this is my own perception and obviously doesnt mean the only true for all people. Im just moving back to Scimitar without regrets. Now Im more awere off my own palm grip and which mouses are better for me.
Thanks for sharing, and hopefully this information is helpful to someone else. I personally only use palm grip, so that makes sense that I didn't run into this myself, something I'll keep in mind if I talk about mice again in the future! Thanks for watching and contributing to the conversation 👍
Looks awesome- I think my husband would love this.
It's pretty cool, I think he just might!
Thanks! Ordering mine now 😄
Hope you like it! Thanks for watching.
What's the PC part used for for this set up ?? Do ou need one for this set up or isn't just to use dicsog??
Just a usb cable and then Discord or whatevet chat app you'd like.
Why even call a wireless headset Xbox compatible if it blatantly isn't compatible. This has turned me off from SteelSeries & Xbox both, truthfully. I should just be able to plug the USB of my $300 header into my $500 console & it work.
So this headset actually doesn't advertise itself as Xbox compativble, but this video was just a workaround way to make it work. The new Arctis Nova Pro Wireless has a version withd direct Xbox support and that one works great.
How different is the nova wireless. Is it exactly the same as pro wireless?
@@autisticdiablo1746 It's quite a bit different. It has active noise canceling, a longer battery life, but most importantly there's an Xbox version that works natviely via USB, so no need for my weird workarounds! I think there's a few other things, but bascially the Nova is the newer and updated version of the headset and would be the better one to get imo.
Literally this is so annoying I spent ages trying to find a headset that is durable, wireless and comfy, it's got all 3 but not wireless for xbox, just got it as Xmas present. I'm grateful for it but next time gotta search if it is actually wireless
@@lukeharper3102 did you get the Nova? That one does work wireless with Xbox 👍
Oooooh a broncos hoodie, sorry dawg

Can confirm. Logitech G502 for 7 years, still running strong (aside from the rubber texture wearing down, obviously).
Logitech devices are freaking tanks I swear....
No matter where I go, I hear the exact opposite of Razer, lol. If they implemented the on-top DPI buttons in their Basilisk, I'd give it a go in a heartbeat, though. Mouse looks bloody beautiful. @@Spartan117Echo
Logitech is great except for one thing... the G Hub software, I absolutely hate it
@@Pyxcore I've only ever used the basic gear (non-gaming) from Logitech so I haven't used the software, but that's unfortunate to hear!
@@Spartan117Echo Yeah that's one of the reasons I'm planning on getting a Corsair mouse and keyboard, because I have a Razer one but again I hate Synapse
i dont get how the regular controller works for longer and doesnt break as fast as the elite one. ive had issues with some of my xbox one controllers but i could swap boards easily. but the fact that this is 3 times the price and lasts half as long......yeah that makes no sense to me. ive seen way too many negative reviews with the same issues for so many years to be willing to pay that amount. especially with so many of them coming right out the box with issues. i would say you got lucky and got one that worked for that long. at least with the standard controller i could just change the boards out for 15 bucks
Yeah I just don't get it either, wild how much these break and it just seems like random luck ifthey don't 🤷
The problem is button degradation(bumpers, joystick, axyb). But sadly every high dollar controller deals with that. I still have no idea if I should get a new elite or a scuf/beaver.
Totally get that, the Elite Core controller is at least a nice way to get one that's cheaper if you still have working extra joysticks and paddles etc. I had a buddy in high school that just chewed up regular 360 controllers in a matter of weeks or months and mine lasted years, sometimes it's just how hard you are on them which you can't totally control.....
I ned help with my wavelink setup! free to show me what to do? i will shout out your channel!
Sorry for the slow reply! I just came home with my newborn son, so things have been a bit crazy around here. How can I help?
