that lag was done on purpose by google so that it can be sure u really wanted to rotate it. If u notice on the new transformer it also does have a bit of lag.
Its a Savannah cat. Savannah cats are a mixed breed of a wild cat and a regular cat. They get to be about 20-25lbs and you can walk them and play fetch. There really expensive it depends on the generation of the cat the further the generation less money they are.
People usually fail to realize... yes, screen rotation is much quicker on the iPad, but iOS doesn't support widgets, which take much more processing power to rotate.
Okay, so it wasn't "Aurora" wallpaper. It was the Mystic Halo live wallpaper (paid version). The Ice Galaxy and Inferno Galaxy ones were also smooth, but I don't think those ones scroll when the home screens do. Check out Mystic Halo and use it with the Nova Launcher (disabling live wallpaper scrolling). See how you like it. :)
@Rayz093 Its all fixed with the ICS 4.0 update which this device will automatically get as soon as you connect to the internet. It feels just as smooth as, if not smoother than iOS at this point. Its simple to use, hardware accelerated, customization to the moon and back. They really did fix a lot in 4.0 I was surprised really.
Pro tip, the iPad 2 does have two speakers but they only output mono sound. Also I think the screen ratio on the iPad does work well for a tablet. When holding the Samsung 10.1 in portrait it feels very long and a bit odd.
@cMARVEL360 The Prime's battery life is significantly improved over the Transformer. It's basically on par with the Ipad2 for the #1 spot in longevity at a little over 12 hours of intensive use.
Now this is an unboxing. This fellow is an enthusiast--just the kind of person who's gonna give you the real shpeel. Great comparisons to some of the best pads. Yep, this is the tablet for me.

What Android really needs is some good benchmarking tools that can help establish some quantifiable number in regards to processing power, ram, and drive speeds
It depends on the wallpaper, I find. The Skyrim live wallpaper was pretty good to me, but others like the Aurora live wallpaper, which is now the only background I would ever consent to using, were crappy slow if the background scrolled. But I installed Nova launcher, which allows you do disable background scrolling unless it's a static background, and now I have a silky smooth, epically beautiful, pulsating multi-ringed blue live wallpaper that doesn't try to scroll. Awesome. :)
The hard ware in the iPad is just as good as it is in the galaxy tab and the originale transformer, its just that ios is built for the hard ware that is in the iPad, and the annimations covers up the lag...

It's fast and new, but I thought it's slow because of mobile networks availability in remote places. If it's software, why do they cram so much of latest java libraries, don't forget it coffee drinkers, it's written with Java. It's exiting to have detachable keyboard, but we were light years away protecting it's connection or having it connecting with magnets, but I haven't shown it. Something has to remind, how fragile boxes are.
@TVjoakim i have the prime and now that Ice Cream Sandwhich has been released (4.0) there is zero to little lag on the tablet..and it actually feels like a refined finished os now and is smoother than the ipad in terms of responsiveness..love my prime!
The reason the ipad is so "silky smooth" in web browsing is because no flash is being done on the other hand Asus transformer prime and almost all android phones use flash making browsing a little bit slower now if you were to take flash off of the transformer prime it would be just as or smoother than the ipad
@RareVDO That is a Bengal cat. The Bengal is a hybrid breed of cat, formed by the cross of a domestic feline and an Asian Leopard Cat. Sounds cool but these cats are very loud and annoying sometimes. My family has had them for years. Just know their personality traits before you get one.

@RangerParus Spec is irrelevant if the experience is good enough. 99.9% of tablet owners do not understand hardware specifications. They're paying for the experience, not the specs. A well optimised OS beats fancy hardware with a sluggish OS.
@kkel19 They are too different to compare. If you like the static interface and walled garden, but a bigger (for now) library of quality tablet apps, the iPad 3 should be fine. If you want more out of your tablet, and loves to customize how it looks and behaves, I'd say the Prime is the one to get.
@ciumoiucucaca Battery is far more than that. Expect around 12 hours of battery life from the tablet itself. Make it 18 hours if you have it connected to the keyboard dock.
I'm getting one soon. My question is.... will we be able to read without tiring out eyes very much? That'd be awesome if we could buy a table that doesn't tire our eyes while reading just like kindle.
I'm not convinced Tegra 3 will be the fix for lag. Throwing more cores at the problem isn't going to do anything, maybe under heavy multitasking it'll reduce slowdown but fact is it's using the same Cortex A9 cores as pretty much every other dual-core SoC. Android apps, like the browser, aren't multithreaded, they're getting no benefit. Cortex A15 dual > Tegra 3 Cortex A9 quad
New video with Ice Cream Sandwich please? That would make my day, because I heard that it makes the entire tablet much faster :) Also, could you do a GPS and wifi test, I've read reviews that the wifi cuts off early, and that the GPS is nonexistent. Thanks! (If you read this)
@m4ssee How many tablets have you ever seen that were broken in half? Anything that would break the case of a tablet, no matter how thin, is going to destroy the screen regardless.
Google is a very good company & their new tablet will be brilliant, but take in mind (for ur own sake): If u need it as a work station (for school usage etc.) than the TF300 or TF201 will be better cuz u can make doc, excel, ppt files etc. with a keydock + it's a better media device, because u have a USB input, SD, HDMI :) The google tablet will also be a 7 inch tablet. The Google device is also Quad Core i recommend TegraZone. THC Splash & Shadowgun should be awesome apps.
What do you do with all those tablets? Also I picked out the Asus Transformer Prime for my gradutation gift this year and I'm super excited for it. I almost choose the Motorola Xoom but then I found the Transformer Prime I fell in love with it :D
Thanks! The video helped me to get an opinion about the Asus tranformer prime. Apple is really missing the point with all the missing connections and the closed system despite the good display. However, how easy is it to copy, paste information onto the Asus TP actually? I do not own any tablet so far and wonder if it is really the best pic currently... Maybe I should wait for another tablet to be released, what do you think? Is there a better tab in the pipeline from any good company??..
I can't decide 201 or 300 for college, i need to see the 300 in person maybe the color is Better than what it looks like. My favorite is the 201 gold with keyboard looks gorgeous
only reason the iPad is so smooth is bc the OS is basically nothing, no widgets no nothing, just and wallpaper and icons. you don't need hardware to make that smooth, but now the Asus has beast Hardware and software, im getting the Asus infinity, hopefully it come out this month :D
they missed selling a lot on christmas because of stocking issues.... i pre ordered mine last week on wednesday and the next day on bestbuy it sold out =)
eh in my mind the only reason the ipad sells is not many people are gunna use the full cpu usage (they also lock you down on a shit load of things) and it looks better than android with stuff but i still love my android way over my iphone

Yes! 32 internal, plus a microsd card in the side, plus the keyboard dock also has an sdcard port, adding even more storage (though only when docked).

he doesn't keep them, i think they just sell them as an open box product (he works at ncix so that's how he gets all of these to unbox)

The ipad didn't dynamically change the page size when you zoom in and out and the ipad doesn't have widgets to make it lag

Though it only comes in 32GB and 64GB versions. The old Transformer had a 16GB and 32GB version.

@bunozen1 it actually lasts around 10 hours on its own and about 16 with the dock

Man this is out already-earlier this year people went loco for the dual core devices-especially the first in the optimus 2x
ushould get the new android update for ur transformer, with 4.0.3 despite gaming, there are no differences between transformer and prime, no more lag

it's not just the hardware but the software. If Asus can squeeze hdmi and micro sd card port , u would think samsung or Apple can do the same.

Ipad 2 is not heavy at all, i use a case that weighs 1 pound alone just so i can hold the ipad because its way too light for me
That is a cool tablet and bare in mind that it will get faster with ICS cus it will support GPU accserelation. !!
@dannyshin1996 Honeycomb is where the lag comes from. ICS will add hardware acceleration (like the iPad2) for a lot of the UI functionality.
