I doubt this is a Schreiber bassoon!!! The tone is full and so fantastic!!!!! Maestro Santana is part of the generation of bassoonists that will make the bassoon a great solo instrument!!!! Bravo!!!

While writing a piece for Harpsichord, Cello, Flute, and Classical Guitar, I found that the normal intensity of the harpsichord is not loud. You cannot hit the keys with any amount of strength that will change the volume of the Harpsichord. You already know that, but I don't find the criticism of its volume in this performance too troubling.
Excellent playing, I think it was smart to delete the last video, especially after all the cuflufull. Do you know what kind of bassoon the bassoonist is playing on?
@craazyoboe Actually no, I am a Canadian. I don't associate Schreiber with Germans (again, because I've never known a professional to play on a Schreiber). I personally play on a Yamaha.
@craazyoboe From pictures I've seen, it's possibly a Heckel or a Walter. I don't want to insult those who use Schreibers, but they really are not professional instruments.
Handel would be both proud and impressed by this trio. This is the way his music should be played - bravo!
