This is WILD. Losing altitude/falling but still fighting flying backwards... tell your Viper driving friend to 120 launch at M2.05 @ 40K ft well before he merges with the SU-30 - if he ever engaged one - and then go home. The F-16 is to the SU-30 in the same way the F-104 was to the F-16.
F-16 Vs Su-30 BVR fight, Su-30 will be by far the favourite. Much longer range radar (compared to the most common F-16 blocks), no external fuel tanks. And plenty of power to get up to high mach as well. I put my money on Su-30 with R-77s Vs any regular F-16 with AIM-120s. Also my friend doesn’t fly the F-16 🙂
Problem is f16 has 6 amraams or 4 amraams and 2 sidewinders . While the Su30 has better bvr radar , and can carry a shit ton of missiles , it can use its missiles more generously while the f16 has to make every missile count . Flankers are more of a challenge for other US aircraft like the raptor or eagle or the Superhornet
I don't think the Viper can get to Mach 2.05 with any kind of loadout except maybe the wingtip Missiles. The Su 30 whilst it has a similar top speed should be less affected by Missile Carriage, both drag and TWR wise and it doesn't need to carry drop tanks which is a huge plus. It can also carry many more missiles and has an advantage in Jamming Pods and a more powerful Radar
@@movedon20000 I think a 120 tipped F-16 can see high Mach. The drag index for 120s on the tips... well it says what it says. Any of the Flanker models will be limited to M1.5 with an R-27 on the inboard wing station, unless strapped to a Saturn 5 rocket. Maybe he is thinking if these are launched first, the SU will see Mach 3???
How would it fare against the current DCS meta - the F/A-18C Hornet in BFM? Do you feel you'd be unbeatable vs even top DCS Pilots: =W=Ace, Kapsu, Valique etc? Real life fighter pilots are not great in sims (as we saw with Falco AI competition).
The difference is that my friend is also a DCS pilot as well as a real fighter pilot. He grew up playing DCS. So he’s technically also a “gamer”. And to answer your question - we have done some hornet and viper fights vs the Su-30 and those will be uploaded later so stay tuned to see the result 🙂
Just curious. Have you done any performance tests of this aircraft? Acceleration, climb rate top speed etc? I think it'd be real cool to hear your perspective on this since you are an actual qualified pilot
It’s a force feedback stick and after a long time dogfighting it’s easier to use two hands to overcome the forces and have more precision when high deflections are required. Some airshow pilots also say they use two hands for some manoeuvres flying fighter jets.
Really nice video again. I also fly a FFBeast setup. Mostly WWII. LOVE IT! really everyone thats in to Flightsimming no matter if Jets, piston or helicopters should take a look. DONT you get blinded by cheap chinese markting promises on peak Torque. The thing is that these bases need to be able to maintain the forces. Doesnt help if there is peak 20nm and after just a minute of dogfight you feel like you have a loose noodle in your hand;) IMHO the best FFB bases out there are the Beast and the VPForce Rhino. Both of them Rock!

@@CommandT but in a scramble you always fly as a pair. in this scenario, a rate fighter would be much better like a eurofighter or f16, because all they need to do is firing off a fox2 (iris-t or aim9x block III) from any angle, since it does loop around. also ive heard fighter pilots saying, that the TV is basically dead weight and doesnt provide much. before the war, nato pilots said they are more afraid of the ukrainian su 27 than the su 30 mkm/mki, because it is a whole lot lighter and the su 30's were struggling heavily with their stall speeds. same with the german typhoons saying, that they respect the dutch more with their f16a's than the USAF f16c's, which does have more thrust but also weighs more. same with the EF, and rafale. the german typhoon has less features than a british typhoon as example, which makes it whole lot lighter. theres a reason why the west were testing thrust vectoring for decades (x31 and other f18/15 variants) and completely abandoned this subject.

Ah the mating dance of the SU 30
Haha yep

@@knightonwarbeck1969 the amount of half-knowledge in this commentary section is mindblowing

This is what f18 vs f18 on crack feels like
So this is how a UFO flies like
Yeah. Next fight UFO Vs Su-30 haha
This slowly starts to remind Elite Dangerous dogfights 😂
I hate when people say I bet that maneuverability won’t save you😂
I flew my 1st 2 v 1 today with Fox 2s and guns. I smoked both of them.
I know most don't care, but I'm still stoked, so I'm telling everyone.
His Identity is your dad. Or some other family member. That's my best guess :)
Anything is possible! :)
bro the intro looked like the planes were dancing
That was some ace combat flight dynamics right there lol
Haha yep
12:30 Accelerated canopy B Hop into the ground.
Wonder how well Flankers would do on cs surf maps xd
Haha
The beautiful dance of death...
Indeed!

A real Flying Circus
Has the new flight model fixed the supersonic issues?
Yeah apparently!
You mean the DCS Flanker Acceleration issues? Or some other issues?
@@wilecoyote3447 No i mean the fact the su30 used to only go mach 0.98 at maximum afterburner at 2km in altitude
Just curious. Have you done any performance tests of this aircraft? Acceleration, climb rate top speed etc? I think it'd be real cool to hear your perspective on this since you are an actual qualified pilot
Well, sukhoy planes demonstrated backward flight in the show. It is the hardest on the engines but I guess engine stall is not implemented in dcs

damn i never missed upload day before... ggs i guess. Awesome video as always!
Thanks!🙏
Why isn’t the Su-35 model fixed to be like this?!
Different developers but yeah that would be cool for sure!
i think codename flanker (who did the su 30 mod) is working on a su 35 mod
why you grab the control with both hands?
Force feedback stick - higher forces, and after a long time dogfighting it’s tiring so easier to be precise with big movements with 2 hands
i have a cockpit of su 30 mka the real one if you want to add it on this mod .
I think you might have to get in touch with the developers for that. They are currently working on a new cockpit model for the aircraft too
This looks like arcade level physics. Drifting is not an efficient way to move through air.
Bro does not know that thrust velcoring exists. In an air show the su35 did a flat spins with ease
@@itzscape8136 Yes, flat spins with ease, slowly.
Hahah. Indeed!
The real Su-30 and Su-35 rotate much quicker in a flat spin in real life than the mod does. They have more yaw authority in real life.
This just goes to show that the SU airshow maneuvers wouldn't work well in reality, but damn is it entertaining to watch in sim!
I actually think in some cases quite the opposite. Nose pointing and being able to reverse in a direction situation is exactly like in the airshows
