How to make Fruit Scones

    0:00 - Intro
    0:27 - Weigh the dry ingredients, butter and milk
    3:00 - Rub the butter into the flour
    3:40 - Add the milk and raisins and gently mix into a dough
    5:05 - Press the dough out and cut the scones
    7:06 - Place onto a lined baking tray and wash with egg
    7:30 - Bake at 170° for around 16 minutes until golden
    8:26 - Allow to cool, then serve with cream and jam

    Great recipe as usual chef. Loved the tips regarding dough depth using the pastry cutter and also how to use all the trimmings.

    I made my own clotted cream and it was nicer than supermarket. You do have to make a lot to make it worthwhile[need oven going overnight on low] so you may gain weight.

    Julien! Is it any possibility to get a sourdough bread recipe? With feeding the sourdough and so on :)
    I know you have done it before but its always a joy to see a professional do it :D

    My Mum used to make date scones all the time, I love them but my husband is not a fan at all so I don’t make them anymore. Thinking maybe I should just for me, maybe put different fruit in for a change.
