Homelander is a consequence of human evil. He is “god’s retribution”, in a way. What do you expect if you do experiments on a child and deprive him of parents? Then, when he is still weak at the age of 3-4, beat him down with other mature supes so that he learns how to fight back and be violent… Keep him in solitary confinement until he is 12 or so. Oh, and THEN, assign experienced mature female molester to manipulate him… Sorry, but human psyche breaks after couple years of solitary confinement. Or torture, which he experienced (much like Soldier Boy, he felt pain, even though he is highly durable). Or 20 others messed up things that happened to him. Homelander is the greatest victim of the series, and the fact he turned out somewhat socially functional (as opposed to a murderous, feral child like in Brightburn)…. Is a wonder, really. Homelander must have head Superman-like level of compassion to stay sane after 5+ simultaneous abuses and crimes against humanity he was subjected to. And even that level of god-like tenacity was not….. enough. Nobody can psychologically recover from that level of damage. That world can burn for what they did to him, for all I care. I love the contrast you can see between the super powered guys that Homelender kills and him. Homelander kills him and kills a civilian through negligence with his heat ray. Yet at the very start of it, you can see the man with the telekinetic powers, waiting until all the civilians get behind him as to not have any casualties.
Is that actually a war crime though? Civilian casualties are messed up but they happen in war all the time. He wasn’t intentionally targeting the kid, he didn’t even know he was there. A better candidate for a war crime might be when he killed fleeing or wounded and helpless combatants, but y’know… that’s not the one that got caught on camera.
Depends. He is cunning, but not particularly smart. Comic book’s Homelander is smarter-ish, but not at all perceptive (which is ironic, since he has super-perception as one of his distinguishing powers). Comic book Homelander is bad at reading people, even though he has speed-thinking that he uses, A LOT. His computation power + perception powers are stronger, but his social intelligence in bad in comics. Smart VS cunning/manipulative are different criteria.
Kinda BS they lash out at Homelander so much more than the telekinetic that started the whole thing. Especially since HL's collateral damage was a reckless accident. The other guy's damage was not
From the looks of it, Homelander really wanted some supervillains roaming around. When Vought was thinking of a name for them, they had in mind stuff like superterrorist, super criminal etc, but he liked supervillain. Not surprising, it must be boring to laser people instantly or one punch them to death etc, he probably wanted actual powerful enemies for the glory.

I love the contrast you can see between the super powered guys that Homelender kills and him. Homelander kills him and kills a civilian through negligence with his heat ray. Yet at the very start of it, you can see the man with the telekinetic powers, waiting until all the civilians get behind him as to not have any casualties.
He is so good I watched this scene 20 times and his facial expressions / reactions is still funny
The way he just says “ohhh” like in the same manner you would if you forgot to like fill up your car before leaving for work is funniest thing
Lolololol not gonna lie he’s actually hilarious in this scene instead of terrifying like the other 95% of time he’s on screen
This scene is applicable to the joke "caught in 4k" lmao
He isnt a war criminal, he's a patriot defending his country and bringing freedom and voting to mankind.
Jesus, devils son
Anikan hears war crimes and is like oh ho boy this is where the fun begins
The reality of having superpower of laser eyes like superman
Is that actually a war crime though? Civilian casualties are messed up but they happen in war all the time. He wasn’t intentionally targeting the kid, he didn’t even know he was there.
A better candidate for a war crime might be when he killed fleeing or wounded and helpless combatants, but y’know… that’s not the one that got caught on camera.
What makes Amazon Homelander is that he is smart compared to comic Homelander
The other guy's damage was not
HOW IS HE SO TERRIFYING YET SO FUCKING FUNNY LMAOO
I love how he shouts “Terrific!” as if he’s talking to a camera crew during a cut.
“Girls get it on”
“Done”
They sure do ashley
love how he makes the flying off gesture like that these little things man jesus
"OHHHHHHHH, ohhh" underated line
1:22 The guy's wearing a "Lamp-Lighter" T-Shirt 😂
It's not a war crime if there's no war 😏
So you’ve never heard of the war on terror then?
Your Russia is showing
@@ivyr336I think he was joking

The “Oh” of realization is fucking gold
"girls get it on" Homelander is funny as hell
Ashley believes Homelander was saying "Girls get it on."; but what Homelander was saying is "Girls get it done." but impeded.
the way he says ohhh 🤣🤣
- Girls get it on!
- “Done” girls get it done sir
- they sure do Ashley
Cracks me everytime 😂
😂
2:36 for them. Body language is impressive
0:41 I fucking love her so much! 😂😍
He could just walk up and clock the guy but he just defaults to the goddamn lasers everytime lmao
I hope in season 4 we can see the younger version of him, like teenager Homelander having to deal with his powers and not having a family with him
Homelander just needs a worthy adversary to give him meaning
Scorched Earf!
0:01 Marty 💀💀💀💀💀

"This Joss rewrite sings"
Was that a Whedon and Singer sting?
Just a Joss reference. Saying something sings is a common saying.
I still laugh that homelander made Ashley take off her wig that time 😂😂😂
That "ooh" he did is the same one ppl do when a traffic camera catches them doing an illegal u-turn. There's no remorse, just mild embarrassment.
"This new Joss rewrite really sings huh?" For a movie called "Dawn of the 7"? Is this a dig at Joss Whedon for makins that shitfest Justice League reshoot that was complete garbage? 😂 Zach Snyder all the way
Lol Snyder made the movie four hours long and it was still trash after. Couldn’t make a decent movie even with twice the runtime
Had to have been a slight dig. Because it was indeed shit.
@@ballrdd24 kek Snyder cut proved that his vision was superior to whatever Joss tried to do with his shitty attempt and that's a fact
@@ballrdd24eh no
@@ballrdd24nah you just hating.
It would've been cool if later on seasons. Someone makes a forum that's filled with his "mistakes" and it goes viral
Stronggg female lesbians!
I love that the cameraman got an angle on the burning sheet like “oooooo, dis a great shot.”
I don't get it, was that dude some kind of African witch doctor who can summon winds?
Probably a parody of Storm from Marvel, who was also an African mutant who could control the weather.
He took v and had got the ability to control weather
The last Airbender
Homelander leaked V to people around the world so he'd have someone to fight for the PR.
Why can I see VLDL's Ben pulling off these facial expressions so fittingly?
Hr didn't kill that second dude on purpose so he probably isn't an actual war criminal
But he did create that supervillain.
1. He created that villain to begin with. 2. He has supervision to see stuff like that.
3. He still killed an innocent without remorse because of recklessness.
This show is this good because of Homelander. The problem is, once he's dead, I have no reason to watch the show.
Homelander is the perfect depiction and the embodiment of the US ))
Gotta give big props to the creators.
Girls get it on...
Would make a good tag line too..😂
Homelander like Homer Simpsons, Bender and Peter Griffen
just realized that guy at the beginning is named marty too
fr
In defense of Homelander that boy hid himself in worst place possible: behind the back of the enemy.
god forbid people stand anywhere

"Look at these strong female lesbians. Girls get it on!" Lmao he's so out of touch I love it
He is not out of touch, but ok.
He is mentally abused and does not express his emotions well.
He seems ok with guy on guy action as well, btw.
@@kingol4801 I dont think you understood what I meant. I'm not saying hes a homophobe. I meant out of touch with humanity. "Strong female lesbians" 2 of those words go hand in hand dont you think
