The reason Richie said those were his cigarettes because him and Carm smoke the same cigarettes. And Richie just assumed it was himself because it was something he would have unknowingly done.

This family( The Restaurant), is so intwined in stress, love, pain, food, ideas, etc it's just unbelievable. Yes, every episode will stress you out, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot & sometimes, too damn much. But it's also going to touch you & there will be tears. Every single episode is great! That C isn’t rare, I’ve seen it a lot but once I saw a restaurant get a C, address the issues and the next week they had a B but for all the work you have to put in to go from C to B, I need to know why it’s a C. After that C, I made sure to never darken their door way, they closed after lots of complaints.
This show is on point for how some kitchens really work - from something as “laidback” as The Beef to something as exclusive as the Michelin star restaurant Carmy worked in. I haven’t worked in a food since college but that feeling of not breathing under the pressure…it’s real, I had to learn how to breathe properly again, it had my stomach all messed up. I didn’t even notice until 2019 - that my breathing patterns were not normal.
