Recently, I uploaded a digital file of one of my best selling shirts for the eclipse, and I’m making more profit per sale than in selling shirts or sweatshirts. OMG Sandra I love your tutorials! They are very easy to follow and understand. Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information! I'm finally studying to open my Etsy shop and it will help me a lot. I have a question: Do you usually protect your PDFs? I've even seen that Canva has a new feature for "Flatten PDF" that I believe doesn't let other people copy your artwork. I even tried using it for some of my ebooks but it didn't work because the Links didn't open after downloading the Flatten PDF, however, I believe the example you gave us where there are no clickable links I believe would work?

    • @SandraDi
      @SandraDi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yayyyy I'm so glad this was helpful! Yes I strongly recommend flattening your files when you can. For files with a clickable link, maybe you can flatten it, then upload it back into Canva, and THEN add the clickable link. Does that make sense?

    • @ElisBuges
      @ElisBuges 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SandraDi Yeah It was really helpful! 😊🙏🏻 I actually tried to download it as Flatten PDF and upload it again in Canva but didn't work very well. Because for example, if I have a page with 5 icons related to social media, and I cannot click one by one to add my clickable social media links since its flatten pdf. Well ... I will try to figure it out! Thanks a lot 😍🙏🏻

    • @ComedorDelrico
      @ComedorDelrico 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@ElisBuges My understanding is that the main purpose of flattening the PDF is to keep people from being able to take it apart or edit it and then resell the individual elements or edited file as if it were their own. They *would* be able to just re-sell the entire file. (Not legally of course, but we know there are some bad apples out there!) But, if you flatten, they wouldn't be able to, for example, replace a couple of graphics with new graphics or change the fonts and colors and then resell the slightly modified version.
      I hope I'm making sense. 😅
      Some providers of graphic elements *require* you to flatten any files you sell before distributing them. This is to keep people from stealing individual elements and reusing them.
      To keep things editable/clickable, you could try making a page with everything in the design that's *not* clickable and saving that as a PNG or flattened PDF. Then reupload to Canva and use that flattened file as the "background" for your page. Next, add your clickable elements on top of the flattened background. That way, everything will be flattened except your clickable stuff.
      I hope that helps!

    • @ElisBuges
      @ElisBuges 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ComedorDelrico Yeah makes senses thank you for all info 😊🙏🏻 I know the process, it's just difficult to apply when we have a 100-page ebook 😃 then I was expecting to have a different way to do it through Canva ... but I will try to do my best!

    • @ComedorDelrico
      @ComedorDelrico 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    awesome as usual. so a couple questions:
    - do you see any feedback from customers asking to make your printable files so they can print front and back on a single page? meaning that the left and right margins would allow for the space that binder rings take up
    - do you find that Koji works with Pinterest?
    thank you!

    I’ve been researching around Etsy and how to set up a shop..most videos are specific to the US..yet to find one specific for Australia (I know Etsy is universal but I have certain questions specific to setting up if in Australia so will keep searching for that), anyway my point , haha, is this is by far the best overall tutorial, I’ve found specific around creating digital printable items which is something I’m looking to create…and just love how you also showed options for Canva if only have the free version this is so helpful and you’re the only person I’ve seen that actually acknowledges this which is brilliant so thank you.
    Have subscribed and will definitely check out your other tutorials - thank you for taking the time to go through all of this 🤗
