      @Sandra Di LOVE IT! I signed up for canva pro (although it put me on teams?) Love canva too. Curious how do you title your packages? I have really been inspired and learn much from you however there has to be a better system of naming files. I have tons and tons of graphics original and downloaded but my computer is quickly become a mess (again) HELP! Do you have a video about file organization that I missed? Thank You for all you do I know first hand coaching is rough at times. So I truly appreciate your gift. Thanks for sharing

      @@SandraDi That would be WONDERFUL! I learned how in college but that seems forever ago and I have no doubt you have a much better way. I am waiting for Etsy approval then thanks to you, I will be uploading my first digital product (card). If all goes well today, my first sale will be tomorrow just in time for my B-Day! Thanks for all of your help. I know its rough for some coaches keep your head up remember why you started teaching! I appreciate your reply and hard work!

      I have really been enjoying watching your videos and am ready to take the plunge on wall art. I ran into a roadblock with Creative Fabrica though. I emailed them to ask if I put in a background and added text to their elements if I could use as a digital download for wall art. They replied that it was not enough. I am confused since the image they show as an example on what you can do does exactly that. They are not responding to my emails now. Have you had communication with them on this?

    • @SandraDi
      @SandraDi  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@colleencourt6203 hi! I would assume that's enough as well. I would contact them again and screenshot their example beside yours to clarify :)

    I watched this tutorial and started doing cards at the beginning of the year, I’ve sold over 350 cards so far and sales are increasing week on week, many of my cards are appearing at the top of searches organically too without advertising, it gave my shop the kick start it needed. I was worried it would only be busy during peak periods but I’m selling 5-6 birthday cards every day now. It’s hard to do as lots of designs have already been done and you have to price them correctly and source stock at the best prices as profit margins are tight and the price point on Etsy has kind of been set by other established sellers….but I’m managing to come up with new designs that people like.

    Great tutorial, thank you! I create digital art but had closed my Etsy shop as my other digital shops (Creative Fabrica is one, ironically!) have built-in licensing options and I really didn't want to mess with all of that on Etsy. After watching your video, I am seriously considering offering greeting cards in my Etsy shop (maybe wall art, too) for personal use. I can still add them to my POD shops, but this way I can keep my Etsy shop open as well. 😊 Thank you!

    This is the best tutorial I’ve seen for this! I just liked and subscribed 😁 I was about to give up on my Etsy store because of how not fun it is do sell POD products.
    This has inspired me. Graphic design has been a passion of mine since I was very young and now I can enjoy using procreate on my iPad to make beautiful art and use it to make printable cards.
    Even better, no need to deal with fees for POD and paying them and keeping track of this for taxes. I’m excited now!

    Hi Sandra, your tutorials are amazing! I just wondered what software do you recommend to find the best niches, which identify search volume and competition? Also any advice you can give about how to analyse this properly to ensure its a good niche? Many thanks so much for what you do! Xxx

    Thank you for this my Illustrator trial ran out and im not sure i wanna pay that monthly price so im glad to see a great canva tutorial! I am wondering if it would it be possible to start with the 8.5x11 board instead and make the 2 5x7 rectangles and do the design on the same page?

    This was EXACTLY the video I needed. :) Thanks for creating such a thorough explanation. Question: Do you have a tutorial on how to create an A7 envelope template (with fold and cut lines)? I've seen lots of cool printable shops include envelope templates with their digital cards, and it seems like a nice touch. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to create an accurately sized template for 5x7 cards. (I did a search on your channel to see if you'd already done a video like this . . . I saw the video on templates in general, but not one about creating an envelope template for 5 x 7 cards with the fold and cut lines . . . sorry if I missed it!).

    Hey Sandra, thank you so much for all your videos! I've been binge watching them and working hard on creating my store. I have a question regarding free listings - I saw that you have a lot of unused listings - did you pay for them? If not, how did you do that? 😅

    ❤❤ This is incredibly good and I greatly appreciate you. But I’m still trying to find a tutorial where you can also give them the inside “design” with a saying. Still confused on how to do that. I think it would add value and allow you to charge more since some people have no idea what to write.

    Hi Sandra 💖 Firstly, thank you SO much for all of your helpful videos you're making 🤗 and I was also wondering in what color mode do you make/sell your printable products? You've mentioned to save the card as CMYK for printing in better quality, does that apply for wall art/prints as well or do you save that in RGB? 👀

    • @SandraDi
      @SandraDi  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! For all printables, CMYK makes them print more vibrant. But if your colors are not too vibrant, you won't notice a difference between RGB and CMYK :) hope that helps!

      @@SandraDi watched this video again.... and agian... I am wondering why everyone does 5 x 7 cards in lieu of just offering the easiest solution to do a 8.5" x 5.5""" ???? which would be a simple fold of an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper? why all the extra work of cutting, etc. ?? Am I missing something on why everyone is making it more difficult? Is it because that is a standard envelope size??? I decided to offer one 8.5 x 5.5 OH and I'm also offering the ability to print on the other side so they can have an inside message... Again - is there a reason folks are shying away from this? I'm clueless so I must be missing something here... Just curious ??

    Hi Sandra! Great video - I have two questions. Is there a reason you use JPG instead of PNG for the photos that you'll put on Etsy? Second question is you said to export the PDF in CMYK instead of RGB which I completely understand since it will be printed out, but when I do this my color shifts considerably (using mostly reds and pinks for Valentine's Day). Is there a way around this? Should I be designing with more muted colors or less bright colors since they can't be printed on a printer well since printers use CMYK? Thank you!

    Sandra,
    Another great video. Thank you! Learning about Everbee and Marmalead ... How do you decide what product to start with or add to your shop? Do you always check first what people are searching for instead of just something you want to design ? And do you think one should start with a theme such as printable wall art and add too that. I guess what Im saying is it ok to have wall art, cards, coloring pages, affirmation cards all on one shop ? Or open up 2 shops that stay more cohesive with design and product? I am new and I think I need to just pick one thing and one shop to start ?
    Thanks so much. Angela

      I always start with research! That's through keywords (Marmalead or Sale Samurai) and also competitor research. That's after I brainstorm ideas that I would like to create first :) hope that helps!

    This tutorial was so helpful and simple! If you are creating a card with a front and an inside (instead of front and back) how would you recommend completing the step with the dotted lines for cutout?

    • @SandraDi
      @SandraDi  ปีที่แล้ว

      I will be doing an updated tutorial on this soon because it's difficult to answer without showing :) but I would create 2 art boards, one for front and one for back, with the cut lines to match on both boards!

  • @mamabtinytreasures

    Hey Sandra, I understand your instructions perfectly however, what if my design is in layers? Everytime I try to use the rectangle and put it in the back, Canva will show me each layer. I will not use layers going forward but was wondering if you can direct me for learning should I want to do this in the future for cards. It is also because I put a background on the front of my card? I tried it again for the back page with no layers, I copy and paste and nothing pastes.

    Hi! I love your videos! Thank you for sharing this! Just one question: both images are on the same side of printing, so when it is folded, it would be front and back pictures (from outside), but nothing inside, is that right?

    • @SandraDi

      Yes that's correct! Inside would be blank. I am doing a follow-up video showing how to do outside and inside if you would like the inside filled out too :)

    This is phenomenal!! Thank you. I've spent untold amounts of time being frustrated until finding your videos. Thank you!! One thing I'd like to ask: what is a suggestion for an envelope for the greeting cards? I've tried finding something suitable to create.
