How Lopez was Caught Doping like a Rat at the Giro d'Italia

- Miguel Angel Lopez has been sanctioned 4 years by the UCI for doping with menotropin in the Giro d'Italia. How was he caught and why was he linked to strange doctors like Marcos Maynar and to characters implicated in Operación Puerto like Vicente Belda Vicedo? And if Pogacar wins clean, how do these guys do to be doped and lose?

Now that it has been made official, we wanted to re-upload this video from when we found out about the official investigation by the Spanish Civil Guard. Now, officially, we can call coconut oil Lopez, doped. Tomorrow, new videos!
Sacrificial lamb? Ban a rider no longer in the world tour to make it look like they have an effective anti-doping program. Meanwhile, we have the fastest giro in history won by a monster not even breaking sweat!
@@sunburntknees2904Absolute FACT. I can’t wait for this Rando dude (that was suggesting that Pogi is clean on a previous video) to see this. Hey Rando, give us all the lowdown on how THIS isn’t true. Smdh.
Pogacar does not even look human at all under the most physically stressful circumstances. A much better substance??? With complicity of the UCI.
@@williambuitrago2385 It isn't just the drugs, the masking agents must be carefully selected too.
This should be mandatory viewing for all those who protest about the channel’s suspicion about other current riders. Cycling history is on the channel’s side!
90% percent of us here know the truth. But...... the truth is we dont care, not anymore.
@@zerog4261 if Pogacar is doping, why don't others do it as well?
@@iyadkamhiyeh527 your joking, rgt???
@@zerog4261 no I am genuinely asking, saw lots of comments claiming Pog is doped, so why all pro cyclists just copy him?
@@iyadkamhiyeh527 they are mate. Remember team sky and there anti drug marginal gains mantra. Yet you had Froome with his sambutamol inhaler, Bradley Wiggens geeting a jiffy bag taken from the UK to France by person.
If Pog is not doping no one is.
If he is, many others are to, or he wouldn't get beaten.
Look how this channel explains its still the same doctors who are treating the cyclists now. Why?
I love Pogačar, hes amazing but cycling is so tough, the advantage of doping too great not to do it and still succeed.
Most of us fans now just accept it.
As long as no one is popped, we're all happy👍
This convoluted story of doping corruption is investigative journalism at its best that no one else is doing. The truth of your stories is unavoidable.
I am 38 years old and have been following cycling since I was 15 years old. I am grateful for the content you produce but I can tell you one thing for sure, there is more doping now than ever before. it has not changed, it will not change
talk is cheap, where is your proof?
@@nakenfaanYou sound like the old LA fans. C’mon fella, the old “Well, there’s no “proof”” excuse is lame. What is “proof”? A doping test? Bahhhhh. Use your brain and open your eyes.
@@user-xh7rz6sh7t You think my take is old and lame? Condemning people without proof is medieval type shit dude. And as for what is proof, yes doping tests and testimony is the only way to know for sure. Its not about obvious or not, its about right and wrong and proving it. Eventhough i dont use my brain and eyes, you know im right. Deciding who gets to ride and not based on your feelings, im sorry you are not that important.
@@nakenfaan Obviously I DON'T know you are right, otherwise we wouldn't be having this convo. Who said anything about deciding who could ride "based on my feelings" of me being important? I must be somewhat important because you took the time to tell me I'm not. I'm sorry you don't have the capacity to look at the massive difference between Pog and the other riders in most races this year. He's a terrible actor because he doesn't even try to look somewhat fatigued. You actually think that all of the sudden the fastest guys are not using PEDs? I'd say that's pretty naive. BUT, it's your choice to think what you want. And in the future please address me as Francis of Texas or Ricky Aquinas, your choice because I'm so medieval. Lol
@@user-xh7rz6sh7t I meant you know im right about basic legal principles that keeps everyone safe from unjust prosecution and tyranny etc... Until he is proven guilty with physical evidence or testimony, what you think is obvious doesnt matter, literally. You call me naive, but i havent said anything about what i think about his dominance at all. My point was always that it doesnt matter what we think based on previous cheaters and frauds etc, Pogi has and should have the "benefit of the doubt" until he loses it by being caught. Not allowing him that is the same as saying he shouldnt be able to ride, and yes that would be based on your feelings.
Thank you for pronouncing Budapest properly..
Interesting timing of this announcement given recent performances at the giro? A distraction?
Now this is journalism!
Jail-nalism
How is it that Astana aren't banned as a team forever after all the scandals they have been responsible?
Money
Your social network analysis is top notch.
Bob Roll & TJ Van Garderen ....still.acting like nothing has happened ? Your analysis is SCIENTIFIC .... Keep these stories coming ....
Gcn/Eurosport exactly the same
A lifetime ban should be mandatory for these offences. Then we start to deter cheats. Or maybe not...
Don't need lifetime bans. CRIMINAL charges/sentencing would do the trick. France made doping a criminal offence after Festina mess, they then went a dozen years without winning a TDF stage while USA, GERMAN, SPANISH, ITALIAN dopers dominated. Jailtime put the fear of God (vampires, at least) into the French- no dope, no results.
"Currently without a nation"
My current goal.
What a relief that all these dodgy doctors have found god, repented and left cycling alone to become the beacon of cleanliness it is today!
Get ready for Dauphine😂
Vinokourov the team manager, always made me chuckle.......... 😆
Another great video, keep it up. By the way, do you live in Spain?
Who ever writes this chanel's scripts really knows the inside of the pro peleton
From Superman to Doperman
always was a Doperman! Always!
I would love to have you touch base on PFP and Thomas Pidpock at the World Cup at Nove Mesto. They didn't even look there working hard a lot like motor doping plus actually doping I don't know but very strange. PFP was not even sweating or dirty and Thomas went out for a 140 mile recovery ride afterward.
Peptides, NG synthetic hormones, stem cells, SARMs. Recovery doesn't really exist any longer.
That crash in the TT is hilarious
was dangerous, could die bcause almost cut the aortha....
History always repeats itself...the UCI ignored all the signs that Armstrong and co were doping due to fear of the scandal.
Fast forward to now and Pog is doing the same but with a better PR model, hes going faster than any other cyclist with unbelievable explosive power...time will tell!
Oh it's murky very murky and getting worse instead of better! LOL!
The drug is used in a doping context to stimulate testosterone production, which can be suppressed by endurance exercise. Some men will respond better to the kind of extreme exercise that pro cyclists engage in, thus they have a genetic advantage: their testosterone doesn’t drop like in some men, indeed they might have higher natural baseline levels. Seen in this light, drugs could be seen as balancing the playing field and resulting in a fairer competition.
0:13 poor unlucky spectator to be in Lopez's path .... should it be me rest assured the "superman" would have counted his teeth .....
facts are so much more satisfying than innuendo. maybe I missed it, but were positive results obtained from race day controls or at some point? kind of shocking that so much investigation or hearings can be conducted and the fans of cycling not hearing about it.
Superman cannot resume racing. He's banned until 24 July 2027.
Someone should look at uae 🤔
You mean Saunier Duval and it’s boss Dracula Gianetti?
I mean, the clue is in the name, who called him "Superman" Lopez really wasn't doing him any favours, a cartoon creation of a humanoid with extraordinary powers....what were they alluding to ermm😮😮😮😮
He’s not a normal person
And yet a cyclist with better baseline testosterone levels and response to stress enjoys that advantage.
Bit like asterix on festina, magic potions
If we follow this logic… The “new” Superman is Super-Pogacar!
Great, now punish Pogi
Why?
0% doping
Do you guys make videos about American "Football" too?
If you're winning, you're doping. Keep it simple. It's everywhere not just cycling, however what's really troubling is why cycling pick and chose who gets a pass. Read the Wiki pages on the old guard and the list of Tour de France wins sould have many more years without a winner.
@jimbarron8688
Couldnt agree more. All of the top levels athletes, everywhere are doing it-- in some form or another. There are just new ways or different methods to be able to either pass testing or consume these substances. Ontop of new substances yet to be under radar.
walmart joe martin stage race... my fav
It's a doping sport I'm not mad that someone dopes trying to win.
Reasons why I don't waste any of my time watching professional cycling anymore, there's many more other better things to do. I on the other hand in my early years I'd play a good game of Street ball, American football with a twist, unprotected full contact ball, many will think that I was doing drugs, no dugs involved, dominating the field on both sides of the ball was my game and doing so really gave me a boost knowing that I can do it without any type of P.E.Ds, when I hear the other side asking each other where's # 54, that's when I know that I got them on the ropes, they don't want to be no where close to the ball because they know if I am than a Monster hit is coming their way, after a good game I'd jump on my bicycle for a good spin.
On another note: I now live in the Netherlands and I used to work with a former Dutch Professional cycling team mechanic while I working at a bicycle shop here in HOLLAND and just so happens his uncle was the team manager of the same team. One day while talking about Professional cycling and I was asking them about the use of drugs in pro cycling, his uncle then said flat out right we all did it because we knew the other teams were doping so we had to do it as well because our sponsors want's results, no results, no sponsorship $$$, simple as that, this talk happened way back in 1997/1998.Sorry to say, I will keep the name of this team under wraps, even though many of us may know which team that I am talking about.
The Portuguese authorities had the opportunity to send Marcos Maynar to a prison sentence but they opted not to, what a mistake...
Manuel Zeferino one of the greatest droppers in Portugal, we all know his feats 😂😁🤣 and the feats of his cycling team 😎
Could you explain the massive abandons of Astana cyclists in 2024 in Romandia and Giro? In both of them has been involved Lutzenko. Maybe they also feel bad after consuming substances provided by the Team as happen to Vlasov and Lopez in 2022?
when do you do one of these about Marco Pantani?
Video name : How not doped cycling highlights caught Miguel Lopez doped
Where are the references to this information?
In Spanish press
@@cyclinghighlights found it. sometimes I question the credibility of the videos because of how DRAMATIC everythings is made out to be. Like some of the recounts of the races early in the video were pretty fantastical recounts of events. But you know your audience better than I do. Still overall intersting and digestible reaccount of the Lopez saga.
well done sir, great video:)
They should just let these guys go for it. It might as well be pro bodybuilding at this point. At least there's cardio involved.
The drugs enhance their cardio not their muscle building. There would be a lot of heart failure
@_bemore Trenbolone does not enhance cardio. Name one pro bodybuilder that doesn't use trenbolone. It's obvious these guys use PEDs. If you're a pro rider, you have to.
Ah yes that well known and universally said statement 'doping like a rat'. Because rats ofc are well known for their PED consumption....
Or like a mule
Lighten up, Williard!
This is why i dont watch endurance sports, sucks cause pay is so low u wouldnt thnk they would cheat.... but I see / know cheaters in age group level races...
What about mick the pick during the milk race?
Superman, Superman……Superman. How we loved Ye.
Carlton Kirby, zat you?
These are Astanishing revelations 🤌
Dopers gonna dope! 💉💊🚳🔚
Columbia....ddddd...dont do it baby.....right lines ...nithing to gain but killing the game
Very interesting, but at places the video is difficult to understand due to the extra thick layer of sarcasm and irony baked in.
Flight of the Condor: th-cam.com/video/vIM-r9sbwic/w-d-xo.html
I guess a doped condor might not fly so gracefully.
Haw many years need the UCI to accused a Ryder for doping ??? I think that is not true..
En 2013 nos enteramos de que en 1998 más de 40 ciclistas iban dopados en el tour 98. Así que calcula
Im falling asleep, 💤 better make some coffee ☕️
What's interesting...
All these pro cyclists who are caught for PEDs can't keep up with Poga or Vin....
They must be some natural athletes, genetics.
And nutrition
Froome's "crash" in training was totally staged 😂. If you even so much as suggested he was doping small brain fanboys in the comments went into meltdown. His pictures from the "Hospital" afterwards were definitely staged. 🤣
Pogacar is taking a much better substance… far better!!!
