It's funny watching Jimmi fall apart a bit as he realises he likes a ludicrously expensive, long racing bike. It must be so annoying for him!
Watched GCN Pinatello review and then this review back2back...
Nothing better to watch an honest unbiased review, thanks Cade Media 10/10
To be fair, GCN clearly state their video isn't a review!
@markdolby ummm....they were clearly reviewing the specs of the new bike?
That doesn't surprise me, those GCN sycophants are never objective or sincere
Completely agree. I wanted to write the very same thing! :)
@@gabrielenchaustegui6678 what does reviewing the specs mean? They listed the specs as information, this is not a review. A review would be comparing it to other bikes in the price range and saying buy the Pinarello or something of that sort.
The colours:
Nokia 6110
Fast and Furious
Lebanese Mercedes/BMW
Durianrider
2003 Lexus
Durianrider lol
Today in "shit we knew all along": Crazy expensive racing bike is pretty damn good but crazy expensive!
I’d never have guessed you’d be reviewing a Sinarello. Mind blown 🤯
i dont get it, sinarello ?
@@_monti142 Sin.
@@_monti142 Refers to their Wild Ones podcast from earlier
Pinarello as a daily bike? Absolutely! I have been riding an F10 DuraAce almost daily for 6 years, clocking 12,000 km annually. One full service a year, and other than that zero issues.
am i the only one who doesn't really like the wavy carbon fiber look? Especially with those wheels, it looks like a bike designed by the guys who animated Dr Katz
No. You are not.
Agree wholeheartedly. Pinarellos look way to wavy, but ive never seen it in person. Only in videos. I think bikes that have striaght line geometry are much better looking.
Im willing to change my opinion if I get to see it in person and ride a Pinerallo.
I look at those wheels and see Yngwie Malmsteen's fretboard. But at least I know why his fretboard looks like that.
That's wibbly, wobbly, wavy design is probably £3000 of the price alone.
I fully agree. I don't like it either.
Impressed you guys avoided the rain
The Pinarello's silhouette has grown on me but never would I spend that kind of money on a single bike. I'd buy several good bikes instead.
Could buy a road machine and team machine
For that money you could buy 5 extremely good bikes, a good wife in Thailand and would still have enough left for a decade of banging retirement life in Marbella.
I guess you could. But this bike is special. I would not trade mine for any two bikes from other brands, or even cheaper Pinarellos. Riding a super bike is also psychological. Nobody talks about it for some strange reason.
@@Edmond347 I get that, especially the psych part. And great for you! I feel that way when riding several of my bikes, all good but none a 'super bike' per se. Though for me, having different bikes for different types of riding is important.
@@ashurany Yes, I am a very lucky boy. I also work very hard and long days. Have no kids and no wife so that helps too. I was fortunate enough to ride the F10 and now the F. Both silly good, but the F is absurd and superior to the predecessors. I’d be the first to call bs on that, but it is what I experienced. 🤷♂️
I got a close look at a shop today. That bottom bracket 1:26 is more than just "beefed up," it's massive enough for a family of squirrels to smuggle a full year of rations. It's also quite a bit more angular, like the area where the seat tube and top tube meet, as well as the head tube 1:46 which Francis isn't a fan of.
Jimmi's analogy is high quality content!
I used to be the same size as Francis caught me off guard 😂😂😂
Finally someone else has noticed. Slight upgrade technologically, if any, slap in the face price
Jimmy's analogy doesnt make sense at first but it came around i guess?
The sizing small gaps, and going down to small sizes, is why I ended up with a Pinarello F5 (the "basic" Pinarello). I was thinking a Giant TCR or a Liv, but they only make them in BIG. The Pinarello F5 was on sale to go into the same price range, and the sizing landed smack into my measurements with some wiggle room if I want adjustments. I like her so far. But.... damn are the Dogmas and higher end Pinarellos a LOT of money. The F5 wasn't cheap, but the others get crazy.
Ya gotta give 'em credit - for that kind of loot at least they make enough sizes that you can find one that's better than too-big, too-small, close-enough.
Im thinking of getting an F9 , also because of the size , not sure if they will upgrade it also
The livability part was great. It would have been useful to see how far the bars can be moved back once removed from the steerer, as that’s where they go when packing for bags like the smaller Evoc.
Love this new video concept! ❤ Hope to see bike and equipment/clothing from all price points as well! Love you guys, favourite cycling TH-camrs
Had an F8 since 2016 and love it, the first of the radical design F series. Had a few upgrades over the years like the bars and wheels but still comes in at 6.7 kilos which is pretty light. As for this latest incarnation, only thing I dislike is that oversize grotesque bottom bracket that is too bloody E-bikey for me. Great content as always guys…
love the format guys keep em coming!
To be fair they take you onto roads that are the way roads should be and often are in many European countries - guess our beautifully potholed roads in the UK are not necessarily the standard they built this bike for. But fear not, they also have a Gravel bike which should be perfectly suited for Surrey roads (guess the potholes are the reason why most posh people in Surrey drive big, huge SUV's).
Yes, what is the obsession of taking the equivalent of F1 car onto UK roads? That's why I bought a gravel bike a few months back...the roads I ride on are shiite as you Brits like to say.
I tested an F10 back when it was the thing, it was impressive enough that I kept an eye out for sales. Found one, built it up as my token road bike, I am a mt biker but I appreciate really good bikes.
My favorite Dogma that I still own!
Thanks for the honest review especially given the limitations that you had with access to the bike. Instead of a David Arthur/GCN advert you guys have given some real feedback and things to consider when looking at this bike. Love the cool wall concept - hope to see it soon!
The cool wall! Hell yeah I can’t wait to see what it looks like
Looking forward to the “Cool Wall.” Well done guys!
What a bloody brilliant review. Refreshing! Loved it, thanks boys
You've been denied with the test and GCN en español got it as a gift. Maybe you can ask GCN en español to lend you the bike?
To be fair , Pinny is sponsor of GCN.
@@Thomas-fy9yc wasn't Orbea the official sponsor ?
@@TC-ik9kn They have a lot. Canyon and Eurobike are also sponsors.
@@TC-ik9kn They are sponsored by 3 Bicycle brands; Canyon, Pinarello & Orbea
This is how I ride my Dogma F, as you mentioned: a high-end machine. On the finest roads, free from rain, dirt, and traffic, only during the summer. For my daily rides indoors, I use an S-Works Venge. Riding indoors while gazing at my Dogma F on the wall brings back memories of enjoyable summer days outside and inspires me to continue training indoors. I also enjoy upgrading and swapping components on my pricier bikes like the Dogma F or Bolide TT.
That blue paint is gorgeous!!
best bike review I've seen in ages on any channel
This is the best high end bike review I have seen 🎉 well done guys!!
Looking forward to this video after this mornings podcast!
Good work, enjoyed the video.
I know on the podcast you said yoh werent planning on doing many of these... Do lots of them. As someone who is never going to buy a bike of this kinda price i properly enjoyed the mix of fantasy bike in dream location being undercut by practicality questions.
Love the work you guys do at my end of the price range but that makes a first look review of a hyper bike more relatable. Also will be interesting to see which companies have a stones to back their product and let you test it back home.
Great work guys
Great video, chapeau.
Love seeing the video after the podcast! Now we are waiting for the numerous lower range bikes
It would be funny to by frameset only and put there basic microShift group to piss people off.
That bluey purple painting is sick! Dream of a bike
Brilliant episode. I listened to the podcast where you mentioned this upcoming review of the "mystery" haha bike.
Thanks for a proper review, the highlight of which was you taking it apart.
I look forward to the cool wall. What a great idea. I wonder what will end up where on Top Gear's Ice Cool section where they put the Land Rover Defender
The cool wall is a sick idea!! It was always funny on Top Gear.
Also the wavy woo bike does look good. Need a credit check to get one tho lol
Great review and outstanding bike!
Very informative vid gents. Would love to see a Winspace review. With superbikes costing 'mortgage your house' money, they seem to have some awesome offerings with little in the way of criticism.
And there's even a women's pro team riding them now
@@Avioto Yes I saw they did Roubaix, didn't do too well but tbf they aren't a big hitting team. They rode the Agile from what I heard.
cracking video, your rain jacket looks really nice.
Great review, love the idea of a cool wall too!
Yeah it's great you can take the handle bars off but it looks like the hoses go through the headset bearing. So for UK riders what was a 30 min job is now a 1:30+ job with two brake bleeds and maybe new hoses to change the headset bearing.
Very funny review, Cade Media style
Cade media cool wall, awesome! would be excited to see what kind of weird bikes can make it to the cool side haha
GOod Job on showing Pinnarello that you dont need them to do an awesome work.
Amy & Kyle will be Happy chickens :)
Very happy 😂
i have the princeton wheels and they are great, but not very noticeably different than other high end wheels (except in crosswinds where they shine). i bet what you felt was mostly from the frame, which is awesome!
Ah I’m not the only cycling fanatic that’s into watches! When you were doing the sections, I was already thinking of Nikos 😄
So much better than the GCN review. Best channel out there.
It looks the same because smaller frames benefit from the deeper junction at the top and down tubes that larger frames don't have due to their massively tall front ends. Look at larger frames, they do look, slightly, different.
I agree, I ride a 43 and the only real difference I see is the bottom bracket seems a tiny bit larger and of course the hidden thru axles.
Nice bike. I almost purchased one last year. My buddy has one and it felt like an absolute PIG in terms of weight. I went with the BMC SLR01 and couldn't be happier.
Where exactly in the Dolomites was this? Planning a trip there next year and that spot looks amazing
Hello guys. As usual, amazing content and specially very relatable for the avarege Jo. Congratulations thats why you are the best🎉
Some of the colour schemes arent all available today!!! That really scuppered my plans of buying one in each colour and thus keeping the next 3 generations of my family below the poverty line. 😐😄
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Thumbs up for the cool wall!
Thoroughly enjoyable, thank you. Can't say I'm into the wavy wheels.. or the forks... or the purple... or the price... but hey, who knows. Maybe one day. Excellent review.
Holy cow. I usually ride a 58, as I'm 6'4", but they would have me on a 54 to match my current top tube length.
Ive seen the chromillusion blue up close and personal. It's absolutely gorgeous. It's also very expensive. Take this for what it is but it's not repairable either. The grey/white are and are more recommended for riding on poor quality roads.
Also the fork clamp is a right pain. I have a 2020 Grevil and keeping the fork amd head bearings tight has been an adventure.
Good and very entertaining review gents! I do like to add two negatives to an otherwise awesome bike, that you seem to have missed though:
1. The price hasn't increased, but they did remove the power meter, which for this level and price is ridiculous.
2. The stock 28mm tires are already somewhat tight, with 30mm being the specced absolute maximum tire width. This seems a bit 2019.
I’ll stay with my old Trusty 2021 F Rim brake Pluto model weighing in at 5.33 kg ( with pedals , cages and garmin mount ready to ride 😎 )
Did you guys do a review of the Pinarello Dogma X? I'm much more into hearing about that and a X7.
GCN meets Top Gear with the cool wall 😂
The term for cars that are higher up than supercars is: hypercar. You may call Pinarello a ''hyperbike''
The custom made bicycles of Robert Stolz in Zürich cost 15'000 Francs. I got one (but it was much cheaper!).
pink shoes and orange sock, somehow works..
I e got those Princeton wheels on my Scott Addict RC. They are nice wheels indeed but you can get them from good dealers at around 3K (doesn’t have to be the 4500 set with Chris king ceramics etc ). Also, the S-works SL8 frame is 5K USD. The Cervelo S5 frame set is similarly priced also. So is the Pinarello really that bad when you think about it ?
The best bike review ever ... i love cade media.
I expect they will have you back. Welcome to the media roundabout.
Maybe I’ve become desensitized to bike prices. It doesn’t seem so shocking Five grand frames have been around for quite a while now.
Great review, Will they be changing the F9 and F7 also?
The only problem with bikes like Pinarello is the fact, that there is nothing special about technology, build or performance... Except price.
So... Welcome back to British/Brexit/Recession reality!
compared to other brands the sizing is quite relaxed for a racing bike. so also a normal person can ride it without a tower of spacers
When Jimmy tells us about his height and sizes… he really suits the red lip stick 😂
I'm truly glad to hear that the riding quality does somehow correlate with the price that is asked for it, because that isn't a given for a brand that's owned by those who own Vuitton bags... That are made of plastic.
If there was any high-end bike that I would purchase, it would be a Pinarello. Maybe it's just the Italian in me lol.
I think hyper bike is what you're looking for.
The Porsche looks like a restomod. I do not want to know the pricetag. Dunno which one but singers cost more than a quarter million
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was not expecting the Nico Leonard reference :p
actually there is Audemars Piguet or Patek Phillippe if you want to continue with Rolex analogy.
Or maybe a Hublot!
Thats the type of bike review I love
Bike box Alan aero easy fit solves all travel worries. To me the Dogma is the best looking bike in the peloton and my garage and My F10 needs replacing soon so I’ll be getting this when my wallet and wife allows it. Stunning bike, well done Pinarello ❤
Nico is a good lad! 🤣
Hands down the Best bike review 😂
pretty refreshing to see a review with very mixed opinions and questioning whether the price makes sense
Having worked with some Italian engineers can imagine their horror at Jimmi taking it apart.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. The upgrades you mentioned all sounded very beneficial and thoughtful upgrades, I dunno what you are bothered with.
With Jimmy + Emily having left Attacus, what apparel are you now wearing? Attacus 2.0? Or another brand?
These bikes sell like hot cakes in where I live. Aesthetic lies in the eyes of the beholders, though.
Was that area the Ronda di Sella? Passo Pordoi etc. Was always popular with (motor)bikers and Porsche drivers...
really hoping you guys get your hands on the new madone to review
The poster that lives on the soon to be cool wall is amazing. Where do i get one??
yet another bike i won't ever be able to afford. nice video
Both Cade media and GCN used the mobile phone evolution analogy. Was this analogy in the Pinarello media briefing? Was it part of their 40-minute PowerPoint presentation?
No 40 min powerpoint presentation, it was only 25 ! and no ipone analogy in there, that was their own interpretation 😀
Francis is 3+ inches taller than Jimmi? Does not pass the visual test
How can I get a T shirt or jersey with that print on the “cool wall” seen behind Jimmy, I believe I saw that Francis was warring one on a trip in his vlogs Super cool design, believed he mentioned one of your friends designed it. 👍🏻
Love the channel and content! 🤍🚴🏻♀️👏🏻
Still don't have SHIMANO Direct Mount derailleur hanger preinstalled.
Your positive energy radiates through the screen!
I love the Nico Leonardo reference. It’s the dog’s bullocks 😂😂😂. He’s honest and isn’t afraid of speaking his mind, like you guys, but thankfully you use much less colourful language to express your opinions.
The bottom bracket area looks like a motor!
