The Cup 2 tires are specifically designed for every car it seem
Michelin does embed engineers are the companies that help with the tire compound. The compound from the factory is not the same as you can buy at a store.
The Cup 2 R tires on a Pista won't work the same way on this, and neither could work on Chiron Pur Sport.
There are many car specific versions of most ultra performance tyres.

If we were talking about a Lexus LC 500 or an Audi RS6 or an Aston DB9 Etc then I would be pleasantly surprised if every vent and louver was fully functional. And Matt doesn't even claim to be knowledgeable. Matt's job as a car journalist, is to keep the fans entertained and keep them subscribing. He has done that in spades. He even admits a lot of the time that he doesn't know how this or that works. But his channel has great content, excellent videography, top of the line cars, and very funny banter between him and yanni from Yannimize. The fact that Matt Watson is a journalist for this channel is one of the reasons why it's so successful. And why he is so successful

No, there is reinforcement to this idea. A flat plane v8 of this ones design is quite literally two i4’s banked together with one offset 90° from the other. Same way how a cross plane i4 sounds like a v8 with the bass turned off.
Definitely, has a hint of Ferrari 458 once it’s going too. It’s not the sound for me though, I’ll stick to cross plane V8’s. I bet it’s a beast to drive though, shame it doesn’t sound like the SLS though.
Wow, that exhaust is extremely restricted. A V8 TT w/a Flatplane Crank should sound pretty mean, but it just sounds like a V6 through that exhaust. For 335k you would think it would have lightweight Titanium and valves to give it a much more exotic and aggressive sound from that FPC V8 when you want it, and/or go to the track (which is kind of the point of the Black Version.) A much more aggressive Inconel Exhaust system would be the first mod I would do if I had one!

Small brands like Ferrari have less strict targets than mass manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz. Furthermore the comparison should be between the GT Black Series and the Roma or the F8 Tributo and not with the 488 as the 488 is discontinued and does not comply with the newest of emissions regulations.
It’s that crank, it’s makes it sound like a double 4 cyl (with some diesel like sounds) like some ferrari and lotus engines, because from a firing order it’s exatly that 2 synchronised R4 sharing a crank.

I get why you think this, but the sound this makes isnt because of emission regulations but because the car uses a different crank plane. This crank plane is called a flat plane and this is also used in ferrari v8’s. You might’ve noticed that it sounds just like one. The reason why they choose this crank is for smoother power delivery which makes it even faster.

What can you say it's been the same story with almost every other manufacturer.
Take the M3/M4 from BMW for example, those grills look horrendous, absolute joke and the ones who are happy when those cars came out are either previous gen M3/M4 owners or companies which specialises in aftermarket modifications!!!
engine sounds like a 4 cylinder engine without engine oil.
The thing about flat-plane v8s is they do sound like slightly beefed 4 cylinders. The exhaust pulse widths are just doubled. A cross-plane’s pulse widths are uneven. The only cross plane i4 I can think of is a motorbike engine (I’ll check to see which one unless someone beats me to it), which sounds like a half sized cross-v8. This engine is essentially two traditional i4s met at the crank, but one i4 bank’s firing is offset 90° from the other.
Update: that cross plane i4 I was thinking of is the Yamaha R1 engine.

And how is that a surprise for you? When the manufacturer is testing the car before launch, they partner up with the tyre maker, in this case Michelin and they tweak the tyres to what suits the car best. Is that so hard to comprehend? An AMG GT Black Series has different needs and style than say a Chiron. Even tho they use the same tyre type Cup 2s, they are different, one's made to handle downforce and cornering the other is made to handle VMax

For a few short seasons, Australian V8 Supercars were graced with the presence of Team Erebus AMG E63’s with flat plane crank V8’s. One of the greatest sounding racing V8’s you’ll ever hear!

It’s a great car but you can’t deny that it’s the worst sounding flat plain crank V8. While I can never afford one I think one of the main considerations of buying a special supercar like this is sound and the sound really puts me off it. Saying that tho I’ll never afford one so I can’t really comment 🤣🤣

I was wondering where was the rumble we’ve been accustomed to hearing from the 4L! Flat plane crank.. at high revs would it sound like a Ferrari 488 or a Ford GT500?...
I thought bonnet vents were to vent hot air out not suck air in reversed?!?
It would sound more like a 488. A GT500 has a cross plane crank, meaning the pulse widths between the cylinder banks of the engine is uneven. That uneven pulse width creates a non constant exhaust pressure in the exhaust pipes best described as that “muscly burble”. The flat plane crank allows for even firing between banks of cylinders, making it sound more like a bass-y 4 cylinder. You are correct on the hood/bonnet vent situation. They are typically there to vent heat out of the hood using a low pressure zone. But there is a vent in the center which is meant to draw air in to better feed the turbochargers. This hood is designed with both types of vents to be used.
