Great reviews, both of them man. I got to check out both of these films for myself this weekend, I'm planning to review both of them for myself, but I'll just give my brief thoughts on both of them. So first off, red one, I think I'm gonna have to agree with you on the score you gave it. Yeah I agree, this film was pretty bad. The plot was honestly a mess, I didn't really like most of the characters, while the acting was okay to me I felt like a lot of the cast members such as J.K. Simmons and Lucy Liu could've been utilized better and even the effects weren't great at times. But I can definitely see where you're coming from, with it being so bad it's good, I will say I did get some enjoyment from Chris Evans' character with his lines and reactions during the first half of the film. So yeah for me red one was a pretty bad film and I'm gonna agree with you on the 4/10. Now as for Paddington in Peru, I really liked it, though maybe not quite as much as you did. For me I do consider it the weakest of the trilogy, just because I personally felt that Paul King's magic that he brought to the first 2 films was lacking here and while Emily Mortimer did well as Mary, Sally Hawkins' presence was rather missed also. But nonetheless I really liked it on its own, while Dougal Wilson isn't quite Paul King, he still did do a good job and I thought the film still had a fun heartfelt storyline, with good humour and the performances were very good, both Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas were very entertaining and brought a lot to the film. It is the weakest of the trilogy for me but I still really liked it on its own. And I agree, if they do make a fourth film, that is definitely what it should be about! So anyway, I really enjoyed both of your reviews, be sure to stay on the lookout for my full thoughts on both of them, but in the meantime, I recommend checking out my review of venom: the last dance. Take care man and have a great day!
Thanks Movieman. Yeah I totally get you, Red One is definitely a bad movie but I feel it's so campy that it just makes it fun and yeah I can understand why you feel Paddington 3 is the weakest. I will say it is a good bit slower than 1&2 but it still has a lot to like. I did see your review, good job.
I’ve only watched up until the end of your thoughts on Red One Lee as I haven’t seen the new Paddington movie yet 🙂 I’ve read online also that mean extra $50 million went into the budget because of ‘The Rock’ showing up to set 7-8 hours late, not sure if that’s everyday but with his ego, I wouldn’t be surprised 😂 Don’t get me wrong, you’re right the writing is so stupid and so dumb, I think they try to be too serious and that doesn’t work in its favour. It felt like they threw everything they had against the wall and see what stuck 😂 I’m glad that at least you had a better time than me watching this, my partner enjoyed it more than me 😂 I think J.K Simmons wasn’t too bad, but he didn’t get given anything to work with for the 10 minutes he was on screen, it’s hard to rate performances in an utter terrible movie that I wonder is going to be a new Christmas classic? Let’s hope not 🙂
@@DidYouZThat I highly recommend watching Paddington 3 and I totally get where your coming from with Red One. It's definitely a bad movie but it just has a cheesy/campy charm to it that makes it historical.
Great reviews mate, I'm seeing Red One on Thursday and Paddington 3 next week
@@daniyalashraf4397 Thank you! Paddington 3 is definitely worth a watch and Red One may not be good but it's watchable I'd say.
