Out of all the songs that could fit the most I think this fits the most to the battle scene between Ash and Leon, despite the first opening being more iconic this is way more action based
I always felt like this was a more fitting theme to the games than the Anime, Its always how I feel when I play pokemon. With all the big crime teams, the gyms, the league. Just this one plucky kid just mows through them all through hard work and skill. Such a great feeling.

I think the only game to ever give me a hard time was the original red blue and yellow, and then black and white with its difficulty levels. black and white only had trouble with the elite four, mostly because too few trainers which made me underleveled. heck I'm probably one of the only players that got to ultra necrozma while being its level and then beating it effortlessly.
The Pokémon Company International half asses the theme songs, I distinctly remember when the production changed they promised to keep all the music and dialogue on point but they lied to us. James Carter Cathcart is a total ass and openly disrespected the JPN script. Yet, he is still the head writer.

Alola was a pushover and not even a real league. Ash had omega plot armor in that as well. Hau won that battle since rowlett was sleeping and the referee literally declared hau the winner. This is most bs in the entire franchise tbh. Not deserved "league" win and not his first league win, ash vs leon was and stays his first and last league win.

Kanto, Johto and Hoenn had the best Pokemon theme songs!!! This is definitely one of my favorites!!! I remember waking up Saturday mornings and being excited to watch Pokemon because of catchy themes like this.
Orange Islands Champion Season 2 Battle Frontier Champion Season 9 Top 4 of Sinnoh (Retroactive Runner-up since no one else could beat any member of Tobias's team) Season 13 Kalos Runner-up Season 19 Alola Champion Season 22 World Champion Season 25 The theme song was just so good it released 17 years too early. Ash always had the potential to live up to this song, and has way more accomplishments under his belt than people realize. And that's cause you had to actually watch the show to know that and not just parrot everything you heard on the internet. ;P
A lot of us come from cultures that don't really value 2nd place. That's why winning the Battle Frontier, Alola League and then the World Championship became so important(Orange Islands, well some people don't count it). Everything prior to that only had meaning because he was still new and raw, and 10.
I prefer myself Orange Island that he won Pokémon League as my favorite season due to memorable of 4Kids actors and funny moments in dub back in the day with better 90s and early 2000s animation
Nothing like waking up catching the reruns on Cartoon Network the end of my 8th grade and beginning of freshman year in 2007. I always thought this was the coolest theme in the series.
I can't really think of what theme song could be the best out of the advanced series but I think this is the strongest one to think about. It's just prefect
To be fair, the same happened in Japan starting from Sinnoh (except "Best Wishes"). The series is named "Advanced" after the GameBoy Advance, but I can't see that sort of thing working with the DS and 3DS systems.
What bothers me though is that TPCI didn't follow suit with their first season. They named it "Battle Frontier" and totally screwed the pattern. I doubt something like "Advanced Frontier" would've hurt much.
For 18 years of my life I heard "Advanced Battle is the Ultimate test!" as "And this battle is the Ultimate test!" and while I hear Advanced Battle now, I still connect it as And this battle

Easily the most memorable anime theme from the show. Yes the original in God tier, and X&Y is it's requiem version, but *this* song in particular just worms into the ear and doesn't let up in how good it is.
As the final theme done by 4Kids, this just keeps reminding me of how good Pokemon theme songs were when 4Kids dubbed the show. Once TPCi took over, they never felt the same again. Being forced to limit their themes to just 30 seconds long made them even worse. What I hated most though, was that TPCi acted like NOTHING (besides the characters being recast) happened and that the show was just the same as it was before. The voice change doesn't bother me anymore (aside from Carter Cathcart as James and Professor Oak), but I just can't stand the music nowadays
Not to mention that the first true non-4Kids theme was a super awful rap theme that was generic as all hell. Hell, the Pokerap original was more creative than that stupid dp rap theme
People are missinterpretating this song and taking it of the context. ”I’m unbeatable” doesn’t refer to Ash losing all the leauges it simply means that, yet despite the loses, he still battles on and refuse to give up. I’m kinda surprised how it went over so many peoples heads here

You're right. In Japan Hoenn it's all one big season named "Advanced Generation". In the west the original seasons are split in more small seasons. For example the international version has 5 seasons between Kanto and Johto but in Japan it's just one big season with the name "Pocket Monsters"

The theme song was just so good it released 17 years too early. Ash always had the potential to live up to this song, and has way more accomplishments under his belt than people realize. And that's cause you had to actually watch the show to know that and not just parrot everything you heard on the internet. ;P
A lot of us come from cultures that don't really value 2nd place. That's why winning the Battle Frontier, Alola League and then the World Championship became so important(Orange Islands, well some people don't count it). Everything prior to that only had meaning because he was still new and raw, and 10.
I prefer myself Orange Island that he won Pokémon League as my favorite season due to memorable of 4Kids actors and funny moments in dub back in the day with better 90s and early 2000s animation

The last time the anime came up with original names besides sticking the games' names on a series
4kids were the ones who came up with those names, so don't blame TPCI for coming up with unoriginal names.
To be fair, the same happened in Japan starting from Sinnoh (except "Best Wishes"). The series is named "Advanced" after the GameBoy Advance, but I can't see that sort of thing working with the DS and 3DS systems.
What bothers me though is that TPCI didn't follow suit with their first season. They named it "Battle Frontier" and totally screwed the pattern. I doubt something like "Advanced Frontier" would've hurt much.

Easily the most memorable anime theme from the show. Yes the original in God tier, and X&Y is it's requiem version, but *this* song in particular just worms into the ear and doesn't let up in how good it is.
As the final theme done by 4Kids, this just keeps reminding me of how good Pokemon theme songs were when 4Kids dubbed the show. Once TPCi took over, they never felt the same again. Being forced to limit their themes to just 30 seconds long made them even worse. What I hated most though, was that TPCi acted like NOTHING (besides the characters being recast) happened and that the show was just the same as it was before. The voice change doesn't bother me anymore (aside from Carter Cathcart as James and Professor Oak), but I just can't stand the music nowadays
Not to mention that the first true non-4Kids theme was a super awful rap theme that was generic as all hell.
Hell, the Pokerap original was more creative than that stupid dp rap theme

People are missinterpretating this song and taking it of the context. ”I’m unbeatable” doesn’t refer to Ash losing all the leauges it simply means that, yet despite the loses, he still battles on and refuse to give up. I’m kinda surprised how it went over so many peoples heads here
Like the Romans and Carthage... defeat is something you accept, not something that happens to you. Edit: It's a little gross when you think about how brave the Romans were with other peoples' lives and drawing the allegory to sending pokemon out to do battle... Not gonna think about that one too much this early in the morning.

I think this season is called the Advanced Battle because the games it adapts are on the Gameboy Advance.
You're right. In Japan Hoenn it's all one big season named "Advanced Generation". In the west the original seasons are split in more small seasons. For example the international version has 5 seasons between Kanto and Johto but in Japan it's just one big season with the name "Pocket Monsters"
