What words can I even say, Jason? Nothing will ever be profound enough to explain what you've done for us all. Perhaps it may sound silly, it's just a song after all, isn't it? I don't believe so. It's truly so much more. A beautiful work of magic and artistry is the closest thing I can articulate. I have to apologize, as words fall short. We can tell you gave your all in this performance, let me speak for so many others when I say how much we appreciate it, your enormous effort to entertain us as children is not wasted on us. My fondest and clearest memories of my childhood is waiting for Pokémon to come on at my grandmothers after school. Had the beginning of the show not had this much power, emotion, and pride in your Work, I truly believe it wouldn't have had the same impact on the MILLIONS perhaps BILLIONS of people you've touched in our hearts. You had an entire generation singing with you. Your role in this show, and our lives is pivotal. I only wish I was able to articulate more clearly how much you've done. Your legacy is forever, we will see to it. I'm positive I speak for many when I say: From the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much. Truly. - Travis
Thank you Travis. I hear your wonderful words and take them to heart thank you. I do try to invest in everything I do with my heart my soul my passion. Every action deserves our full commitment in life. Even if it's low paying demo for an unknown anime that no one knows about for a random jingle house filled with people just trying to make money for corporate clients. The passion can still come through. But more importantly it's people like you who have invested in the entire Pokemon ecosystem. Expanding your imagination and critical thinking with the games the cards the characters the anime movies and of course the music. It's your investment that has expanded the pokeverse and brought the most value to my life. If not monetarily certainly through these wonderful comments. Thank you for your thoughtful remarks. But then I would remember sitting with him watching pokemon. Jason Paige, you saved me from shutting off the world entirely. It took years for me to finally talk to people and make friends, but now I have friends, and pokemon is still a huge part of my life. I would sing along with the opening and my dad would just smile. Thank you for the kind words. I am just the voice not the writer. Pokemon and the producers wrote it based on the ethics and ideas that are already embedded in the game and the Japanese anime. Then you and all of the fans wrote the history of Pokemon with all of your time and energy invested. I only spent 6 hours total until 2016 and you spent 6000 hours! We got goosebumps while watching the music video! The amount of passion and dedication that you bring to these beautiful lyrics will always be appreciated and respected. Thank you for putting your heart into something that people in any generation can always appreciate and enjoy! GO POKEMON!!! =)
As a twelve year boy, having lost my mom in 1998, this franchise saved me from doing something that I would've regretted. Thank you Jason Paige for giving that twelve year hope.
This franchise saved so many lives seriously it's so beautiful... It had and still has such a big impact on so many people.... And this song plays a big role in all of this.
Words alone cannot express the feelings I have for this song. When I was in my hospital bed at the age of 9 and the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, I was scared for my life and cried every day. The only time I didn't? It's when I heard this song playing on the hospital TV. It may seem silly, but this song and Pokemon gave me hope that I'd get better. 20 years later, here I am at nearly 30 crying while listening to this wonderful song. The song that brought me hope and happiness in my time of need. Thank you, Jason.
it might sound stupid but when i was a kid and get bullied really bad in school, i would listen to this song as my comfort song for hope, and now im an adult and the nostalgia is hitting me, My hope song right here. So i get you 😌
I was born in 1999 and I also grew up with the Pokemon anime. Me and my sister also collected the cards as well, and kept them in a binder I believe. We didn't really play the trading card game, per say. We just really liked admiring the cards themselves. Honestly, the only things I never really tried out in the franchise were the games themselves. Don't get me wrong. I had always heard about them, seen them in stores and even saw commercials on TV in the 2000's. But for some reason or another I just never got around to trying them out for myself. Maybe one day. Gotta catch 'em all!
Man you know what I can't lie even though I watched the original Pokemon I'm still loudly singing along everytime it comes on this single song has become many peoples childhoods and you know we love you for being there for us along with other legendary people like naruto, one piece, dragon ball, cars if some people know what cars i mean and many others but you my friend are at the top of them all with your work and i will always thank you for that even when I'm nearing my end later down in life i will never forget the memories you gave us all and may your legacy live on forever. I'm 30 years old and I gotta say dude, you are the voice of the 90s generation. Hell, I admit to listening to the season one OST while on patrol when I deployed in 2010. You have no idea how hilarious it was for a bunch of grown Marines attempted to sing this. Wish I still had the video of that.
My man, this is just amazing. I am one of many people here in the comments who grew on this song. It's the first time that I see who sang this masterpiece. Thank you very much sir! Much love from Czech Republic
This wasn't a tv show, video game, trading card game, or toy collection. This was a lifestyle. Never seen a trend like this in all my years. Never been so happy to watch tv on Saturdays.
True. It was big enough to have religions that had survived thousands of years worried about it. It has spanned multiple generations. It's synonomous with gaming itself from Nintendo's earlier days to the current mobile trends from iPhone and Android. It is the only series to make a GENUINELY GOOD "Video Game Movie". It managed to make a mobile game that got people to travel and socialize IRL MORE, not less. Over the years, it broke trends and feats thought impossible. It was truly a global phenomenon that I don't think has since been matched. People talk about how popular Among Us is or Minecraft was? No, THIS series is what TRUE popularity was. Pikachu as a mascot was able to rival the likes of Mario and Mickey Mouse.
@@JamesR624 And you remember all the hype surrounding pokemon sun and moon then when the switch released one of the first things they asked about was when it was getting pokemon on it
Without this song Pokémon is body without soul. This song and voice generate emotions. Never possible, but still I wish my childhood comes back. An energetic song along with lot of emotions. THANK YOU everyone who are engaged and worked in Pokémon, without all of you my childhood is food without salt.
Normally to call someone something so grand as "the voice of a generation" would be hyperbolic. Not here. This song is iconic beyond words and it brings back so many happy memories.
You can't help but get hyped up every single time you listen to it because of Jason's energy. It's like he knew he was being asked to be the voice of a generation, but he didn't know, he couldn't have, yet there's no mistake he gave it his absolute all to bring this iconic and generational song to life in a way only he could. That tells me two things about Jason: he's enormously talented and is extremely passionate about his work. He's also an awesome dude for engaging with folks in this comment section after all these years.
Dear Jason, with that very song you've changed my childhood. Can't express enough how much this song rocks so many years later. Sending love from Poland ⚪🔴
Not sure about that. There is a shorter version of of it on Facebook though that sounds legit. This sounds a little different, bit either way no reason to bring him back after all this time if he's going to do that. I spent the majority of my childhood in a hospital due to cardiovascular issues. A nurse bought me the first two seasons of Pokémon to watch. This theme song along with the show played an immense role in helping me recover. I’m 29 years old now and ironically back in a hospital; your voice Jason takes me all the way back there and reminds me no matter how hard it gets, things will get better. I imagine you weren’t compensated nearly as much as you deserve but your voice not only became iconic around the world but also serves as a reminder for me. I hope you are doing well and gaining the compensation & recognition you deserve! Sincerest regards.
Played in every school across the country. 99 percent of the kids will always start singing along. That's beautiful man. I don't think any other song is more beloved. He can die one day knowing he made the world a better place. Bless you man. You deserve the nobel peace prize.

This wasn't a tv show, video game, trading card game, or toy collection. This was a lifestyle. Never seen a trend like this in all my years. Never been so happy to watch tv on Saturdays.
Damn near a religion in Japan.
