Except qadianis have always had a connection to that military elite, and that cult demands mandatory chanda and every aspect of their lives to be governed by their s-called "khalifa". Bajwas father in law was at one time a paid up member of that group. The qadianis had their own militias too.

Great economist? Smallest bit of sense from a pakistani sounds like something great. Low expectations bring the wow factor. I am not convinced he is a good economist yet let alone great.
all talk about his knowledge and he is the best in his field but the way he talks, is like a mother sitting with her child and teaching him things very calm, composed
And we in India and Pakistan have a habit of gifting our Intellectuals of Atif Saheb’s caliber to the western world, as opposed to respecting them for our own prosperity.
Great podcast. Was on a 5 hour drive and heard it twice over. So many gems. I feel that Atif Mian and Shehzad are missing one of key issues in Pakistan in connection with the lack of national saving rates/investment: *Dual Citizenship* . Why would any Pakistani millionaire invest money in Pakistan when the individual can invest anywhere else in the world? Dual citizenship for a developing country is like a no-fault exit clause. Its astonishing that government officials, politicians and even a caretaker Prime Minister has been a dual citizen. For us Indians, _two lessons to take away from Atif Mian_ : 1) The danger of income inequality in leading to low domestic growth - the China case - we are not there yet but its a real future problem for us. Already the sale of entry level cars - Maruti Celerio etc has been falling with sale of SUVs etc rising, indicating our post-Covid economy is K-shaped: not good news. 2) We need to figure out how to deal with the poison of majoritarian politics that has been unleashed. In the 90s, there was a joke about how Lalu Prasad Yadav will need 1 week to turn Singapore into Bihar. I make the same joke today about Karnataka sounding a lot more like Uttar Pradesh.
I sometimes feel sorry for Pakistanis like Shehzad and Dr Mian. Such brilliant people who want to change their nation, yet find it difficult to relate to a majority of their fellow citizens who hold such diametrically opposite views. But these guys have real guts, inspite of all opposition they are fighting for their beliefs and betterment of their nation despite such opposition. Salute
@hulagukhan-we3fw I think it takes courage to go against the majoritarian public opinion prevailing in a country. Most Podcasters will only choose the line which would give them maximum benefits (read subscribers).Shehzad has a belief system and he sticks to it. And that is what I appreciated.
Bhai let's look inwards and not give gyaan or feel sorry for some of the best people out there. India isn't some first-world country now for us to feel entitled to feel sorry for Pakistan. If anything, we should learn from the words of wisdom Dr. Mian has shared and double down on it for our own progress. Pakistan will sooner or later come around but at the same time, India is also miles behind in all major indicators of a good life.

The Pakistani state has survived mainly by leveraging its nuisance value but it looks like the world has finally tired of financing this criminal enterprise.
hmm... but Pakistan was created for that very purpose.
It’s not hatred, they are practising Puritanical Islam
It's the punjabi chauvinism which is surprising coming from punjabi mslms who never ruled punjab
Except qadianis have always had a connection to that military elite, and that cult demands mandatory chanda and every aspect of their lives to be governed by their s-called "khalifa". Bajwas father in law was at one time a paid up member of that group. The qadianis had their own militias too.

❤️🙌
Atif Mian is a patriot. A real genius and honest to the core.
he explains difficult concepts with such an ease that even people like me who find it really hard to understand economy can learn a lot.
Hopefully just like me, General Asim Munir is also listening to Atif Mian while hiding in his blanket at 2 am.
Huge respect to you sir from India .🎉
🙌
I like bery much to be in in Indi conversation, especially when I understand the points in action potential.
Such a brilliant discussion Mashallah!
I am economics student and how much I learned in this 2hours podcast is more than my whole semester..
Unfortunately, extremist and narrow-minded mullas have hindered his ability to contribute to Pakistan's economy.😢😢
❤
Who is behind Mullahs we all know, I hope they should realise it and use him at upmost of his ability
APS example broke me, tbh. Brilliant podcast. Invite Atif Mian more often to discuss economical situation of Pak.
🙌
Atif Mian could’ve been Pakistan’s Manmohan Singh. What Singh did for India’s economy, the results are evident now. But we’re our own enemy. We don’t need any external enemy. We’re doing a great job.
😂there was pv Rao who was the pm at that time, even his own party 😔 disrespects him and his family till now so have some knowledge.Yes mms was fm at that time but he was also in financial advisory since 1980's but india was failing so only pv Rao played the main role for India's growth 📈 destiny.
@@bazigar9380I would not like to argue with someone like you. I would just say what Rao Sahab told Manmohan Singh, “If I don’t work then it’s your fault, if it works then it would be our win”
@@ResponsibleCitizen001 Doesn't change the fact that without the political cover that Narashimha Rao provided MMS couldn't have done much.
For every Manmohan Singh there is a P V Narashimha Rao. Technocrats can't do much without political cover.
Stupid post. Manmohan did nothing other than follow the dictates of IMF. He and India had no choice. It was the corrupt policies and goonda raj of Manmohan's creepy Congress party for 60 years that bankrupted India and brought it to its knees.
Delighted to listen to a sober, decent Economist with profound knowledge and lucid explanation of situation and remedial measures also reminding of current weakness in the system .
One of the best episodes Shehzad, the man is just plain brilliant
Yes!
Thanks for a wonderful conversation, complete package with diagnosis and treatment.
🙌
Thank you for such a detailed podcast Shahzeb and Atif sb!
You can feel the pain and urgency in atif mian's voice. I hope someone in power circle would listen to him.
Damn, this guy is a gem. I learned so much. I would so love to listen to his lectures.
🙌
Great respect for Atif Mian! He articulated the pain we all feel for our people.
🙌
Trust me his pain is much deeper bro

Podcast walay sahib this 1 year old podcast is a lovely lecture on economy; heartly respect to the guest mian sahib and love for you, i was a big critic of yours but today i had changed my opinion ❤
❤️
despites all the controversies u are doing an amazing task brother to educate this so called nation😊
❤
Great watch,
Kudos to the host for hosting and providing Mian Sahib with a platform something that majority of pakistani content curators wouldn't do soley because of Mian Sb own personal belief and any backslash that may come.
Sad reality is this Great economist might win Nobel prize and Pakistan will not say he is there Son.
Great economist? Smallest bit of sense from a pakistani sounds like something great. Low expectations bring the wow factor. I am not convinced he is a good economist yet let alone great.

all talk about his knowledge and he is the best in his field
but the way he talks, is like a mother sitting with her child and teaching him things
very calm, composed
Brilliant guy wish Atif can become finance minister of Pakistan with power he can change the economy in a decade ❤
Oscar worth guy
❤
And we in India and Pakistan have a habit of gifting our Intellectuals of Atif Saheb’s caliber to the western world, as opposed to respecting them for our own prosperity.
Work out done! Coffee with Shehzad and Dr. Atif!! Life can’t be better than this! 🙏🏻
❤
Great podcast. Was on a 5 hour drive and heard it twice over. So many gems.
I feel that Atif Mian and Shehzad are missing one of key issues in Pakistan in connection with the lack of national saving rates/investment: *Dual Citizenship* .
Why would any Pakistani millionaire invest money in Pakistan when the individual can invest anywhere else in the world? Dual citizenship for a developing country is like a no-fault exit clause. Its astonishing that government officials, politicians and even a caretaker Prime Minister has been a dual citizen.
For us Indians, _two lessons to take away from Atif Mian_ :
1) The danger of income inequality in leading to low domestic growth - the China case - we are not there yet but its a real future problem for us.
🙌
Strongly agree that the Country future is with services sector. This is the only thing which can turnaround us.
Arif Mian Sahib is such a kind and wonderful gentleman. SubhanAllah!
Salute
🙌

Amazingly educational and honest 👍

Shahzad bhai this is one of the best podcast... Atif sb ko aj tk itna casual or openly baat krte nhi dekha .. he explained everything .... He is a true patroitic.... Is mulk ne gaaliyan or nfrt di or Atif phir b itna positive about the nation
🙌
what an honest conversation!!! Feel sad how restricted he feels in articulating fully - If i am understanding him fully - he is saying - Remove extremism socially - STOP supporting Islamic (religion based ) fundamentalism/Terrorism - that is the only way fwd not only socially/morally but economically as well.
❤
That will be against Two Nation Theory for many.
@@vinsin328No, but it is against islam first before any two nation theory, what they r doing is sadly under the name of the religion, misguiding people and making phatoes in society
Whether the establishment or various political parties, all must be sincere to revive the country economically, socially, educationally and culturally without any discrimination or partisanships. All should be inclusive bringing all the technocrats, professionals etc working for one goal " revive pakistan as an all inclusive nation with pride. Good insights from this gentleman whom I assume is an economist. Thank you
I pray someday Pakistan's decision makers grow up to a level when they bring Atif Mian to be part of Pakistan's Nervous System
They can't do anything
They have not done anything for so long that now it is impossible to get anything done
Bro yeh kom is kabil he nhi ...yeh her kaaam me islaam le aate hien .... World ecnomics k liye world level laana parta he jis me sb kuch positive ho
