The worst part of this whole situation, people making accusations and people trying to use you, is that you are doing a great, philanthropic work in which you deprive yourselves of the lives you could have for the sake of the animals. Understand. My late husband was a doctor and a philanthropist BUT he was NOT born with a silver spoon in his mouth He was born on the wrong side of the tracks and worked hard to put himself through college and medical school. Everyone thought he was filthy rich. Lol nope. But he shared what money he made with the less advantage including animals. People can be so intrusive and judgmental. Keep what you are doing. You two are awesome.
I started watching your videos when you first started getting the sanctuary set up on Florida's Wildest. I'm definitely rooting for you guys. Helping animals does not mean you should have a worse life. You deserve better for being so open-hearted. As a girl I like seeing Gabby's nails lol. Couldn't believe somebody was uppity with her about that! Ya'll are the BEST!!

poppy the prairie dog says if you don't bring monkey biscuits he will require pets the whole time you are visiting. Big Harv is being so friendly and loving pets. He is the cutest chunky prairie dog.

I love watching him. I was at a Blueberry Festival recently and I swear one of the vendors had garden emu’s. They were adorable..and made me think of them.
i was never that into foxes until yours, now it's becoming a special interest (and in ASD world, that's a whole thing).
My dog was obsessed with any veggies I ate. She didn't LIKE most of them, but, if I had something, she would eat it. Her favorite was broccoli, though, and she would treat it like a chew bone, take it to her chewing spot, and settle in to gnaw on it.
KiitKatt was was something else today........yeah everything does look very green and lush very nice
Clover, little and big EMU, with the zoomies, was heartbreaking adorable. I just wanted to grab all three of them hug and kiss the top of their heads. Such faithful company as you go about your chores.

The most fun is watching Clover with the emus. Clover is really a great dog. Fun to watch her with the armadillo too.

Those emu's are hysterical running around with the dog, love it! I love how attention needy Poppy the prairie dog is, I think he/she needs to come live with me in Wisconsin so I can snuggle while I work remotely from home. Kidding of course but what a sweet little prairie dog. Good job with everyone, love what you are both doing.

I am sorry that people are trolling you and questioning your motivation for your sanctuary. I am very impressed that you are spending your own money to make I all work. I believe that you are doing very impressive work. I also can't believe that anyone would ever question how you feed the animals. It seems Gabby is a master researcher on the animals' diets. I haven't seen you show the piglets for a while, so I am hoping that they got adopted.

Afternoon from northern cape south Africa. I absolutely loved kit cat getting addicted to the pig treats! It was wonderful to see her allowing you to get close to her, even if she had an ulterior motive.
Food is such a bargaining tool. When I was a lot younger, rescued a few feral cats, at different times which somehow crossed my path.
Food was always the best way to win their trust and eventually be able to catch and bring them inside to become pets.
One in particular was a tiny Grey male kitten. All claws, spitting, snarling and spunky. Managed to catch after much chasing got it cornered and succeeded in throwing my thick winter denim jacket over it.
That way 'Tybah' got wrapped up safely so he couldn't hurt me and I could bring him inside. It was middle of winter and overnight temperatures had dropped to - 1 degree Celsius.
I tamed him, by having him closed in my study. Every day and evening I would take a book, a pillow to put on the floor and sit on. Plus next to me in a little dish I kept treats of some sort. I spoke to him sometimes and mainly ignored the little mite. He was mainly hiding inside a wicker cat basket that I'd put a material flap over the door so he could feel hide and safe. Eventually he started creeping closer and closer. Took about a week before he was close enough to smell my feet, and get brave enough to eat from the dish. One day he climbed onto my lap and the battle was won.
He's 18 years old and sleeping cuddled under his blankie on my bed, as I write to you. What a blessing his life has been to me.
Love seeing ALL of your animals. Don’t want a house tour (privacy) but the animals ❤️
don't let that phone call detour you from your path. it sounds like y'all have a clear vision of how you want to grow your nonprofit sanctuary. also sounds like the company needed exposure from your channels and pages. sketchy af.. so don't get discouraged or feel down about that weird phone call. something bigger and better is heading halls way and you don't even know it yet... the best is yet to come, manifesting all the great things coming your way👏👏👏👏

I wanted to find out how the garden you guys planted out front, with all the potted flowers and plants was doing. (If I recall correctly Gabby and Erin were all involved and it was taking shape nicely.)
Definitely the grass seeds you planted around the Gator pond is looking green and lush. I'm sure jumanji loves his cool resurrection fern roof and grass that you seeded for him too.
Could you perhaps give us a look at how that's all shaping up too.? Always nice to see a developing garden project.

You confused that foundation by going on the call with them in the first place. Download their application form and make a formal application for money. They won't grant money over the phone. Great to see your armadillo again! S/he has calmed down considerably since you last showed him/her!
Maybe you can put a heating pad in your Monitor's Hide. Kamp Kenan has those for his Monitors... just a thought

That does sound like a terribly frustrating phone call from the grant people - they must have had a script to stick to with that broken record about mutually beneficial! I remember seeing a video where a SaveAFox staff member was putting foxes in his personal car to transport them long distance to the sanctuary and he stated that he didn't buy the car with SaveAFox funds, he paid for the car out of his own income.
Makes me wonder if that accusation had been made in the past.

Ppl have no right to get angry when they obviously have no knowledge on these creatures to begin with and to thoes ppl!! Apparently they don’t fully watch the videos when you clearly have explained there species and the diets! Not to mention I believe your wife is a licensed vet is she not????

Just wanted to ask you a question. My ex feral cat whom I rescued. (The vet estimated him to be about 4 weeks old at the time.).
He never learned to retract his claws when he played with me. I know he can do it because when pummeling my lap, I've observed it up close. I always assumed it was because something separated him from his mum at too early of an age.
You always mention the difference between instinctual behavior and learned behavior.
Into what category would you place a cats claw retraction when interacting with their owner?
Heavens I've been slashed so many times by his claws when he tries to bat at my arm and hands. Lots of band aid plaster strips used in his 18 year life. Even as aTybah is now an affectionate old man, playing with him can be a bloody business.

I’ve never thought you guys live a lavish lifestyle. With that being said though, won’t you at some point have to take a salary for at least one of you to run the sanctuary full time? I imagine your Casper tours will eventually have to stop since it’s so draining to drive every weekend. Also, I think it’s ok for you to take a salary as well. That shouldn’t be looked down upon. You are giving your entire lives to this. It’s not just your job or career, it’s literally a 24 hours a day commitment.
I’m severely disabled by constant pain. Your vlogs help me more than you can imagine. I am or was a social scientist. In my opinion the level of mental illness in this country is a crisis largely ignored. The Internet has become “home” for the paranoid and others with psychosis. You are young, highly intelligent and educated, happily married, etc, etc., and your kindness hardly represents the culture in which we live. That triggers resentment and jealousy in these kinds of folks. I was active in the civil rights movement in two cities where I lived. I received death threats, several attempts on my life, etc…and I was just reaching people in a couple of cities and at a university, not the whole world. Please be careful and you might invest in an alarm system at least for your home. I know one for the whole sanctuary would be prohibitively expensive. BTW there’s a lot of corruption in the grant industry. Gabby might want to,run checks on any you are interested in…especially who reach out directly to you…that’s unusual.

Multi million dollar corporations will do anything to not pay people. That's why you see wages are so low. Like come on, you don't NEED that much money. No human NEEDS that much money. 100k per year and 100k invested in a retirement plan will last you for the rest of your life. Literally, nobody in the world needs more than 200k. Probably less, but I'm being generous. It's just ridiculous how greedy people are.
I also do not like non-profits/Charities that take salaries out for themselves. It's scummy. With the millions to billions of dollars invested in cancer charity you would think that a cure for cancer would've already been made, but instead I theorize that they just keep the charities running so they can keep getting rich off it. All while the scientists and doctors make less for doing all the work and the "CEO's" get to live lavishly and comfortable.
I hate greed with a passion.
