- In the halcyon pre-Covid days, we interviewed some of the most conservative white girls in the USA on whether or not they had ever date, or would ever date, Asian men. Found at Bringham Young University, these beautiful Mormon girls from Provo, Utah are one of the whitest, most conservative, religious enclaves in America. So you can expect that the idea of Asian Men White Female (AMWF) relationship and dating wasn't anything they had considered, but what they'll reveal beyond that will surprise you, and hopefully you'll get a good laugh out of it.

Pro tip: Who cares if they like Asian men (you). The second you ask this IRL (or have internalized this question in your mind), you are already putting yourself in a defensive/submissive position. Waiting for them to qualify you with their opinion. It's basically asking "do you like me?". NEVER do this. Instead when assessing a woman ask them "what do you bring to the the table?" or "Are you worth my time and energy?" THIS is where your mindset should be when chatting up a woman. (Yes I'm 100% Asian. Pinoy)

I am Asian, LDS and graduated from BYU so I can give you a real Asian Man's experience. As the video summarized, most are open and willing to date Asians. However, I did never feel fully comfortable or part of the normal campus social scene because of the cultural and racial identity factors. There are women there that are not comfortable with the idea of being with someone of a different culture even though we shared the same religion. In the end, Utah women are in my opinion one of the friendliest and family-oriented people you will ever meet. If you share the same values and vision of a lifelong relationship, race will slowly become less and less a barrier when the women meet the real you instead of having to viewing you with the media and pop culture stereotypes that persist today.
True. I can testify that I've met alot of friendly girls who are from Utah and from other states. All of them love me and I'm an Asian guy living in Canada, and I am a regular Latter-day Saint. I just haven't met one who is blonde, a Latter-day Saint, gorgeous, loves me for me romantically and shares all the values with me yet but I know God is preparing me to meet her soon enough when I go to BYU-Idaho aka BYU-I do. So far, I've only met girls who have a platonic love relationship with me aka friendship.
Can we get a white person to interview some of these white girls next time? People usually don't want to offend you because your questions are related to surveyor's race, so they just give you a general polite answer
Don't get me wrong tho, Mormons are most friendly people I know, but still would like to eliminate the possible survey affecting factors.

Some Body The phrase “Okay Boomer” was originally for the “boomers” (generation name) to kind of mock their closed minded ideals and mindsets. They’re a older, more traditional, generation.
It has evolved thought, and be used to include just all closed minded, traditional people in general. So you don’t have to be an actual “boomer” to be called one. I hope this cleared some things up!! And this is just my interpretation of the definition because of the many ways I have seen and heard it used:)

I get your point since many Asian men don't approach and many of them are usually shy. This can apply to men of any race that don't approach women. Women on many cases are less likely to date the man if they don't approach.

Funny enough, living in Utah for the last 8 years now (after being in NY, Ontario and Chicago) I see more AMWF couples walking around any day than in even in San Francisco, NY or Chicago where they's way more Asians in numbers. BUT none of the couple I know are LDS.
From what I noticed, Asian men tend to do better among Conservative white women. Much of that has to do with that fact that Asian men are perceived to be better educated, more family oriented, and higher likelihood of having a stable job.

Hey Asian Man from utah here! I wanted to put my input in and I have to actually agree. With the emergence of asian K-pop, movies, and among other cultural emergences( not the racist beatings) women in general, especially white women are beginning to have yellow fever on asian guys😂. Im dating one right now, and apparently, an interesting was that I was asian and had certain qualities that made me desirable too. Cheers man🤝

As a half Japanese guy (looking borderline full) born and raised in Utah, dating has been interesting. I'd say I'm about a 7 1/2 and girls will call me cute but that's about the extent of it. I've had a couple of white girlfriends but they were actually more attracted to asians. I think generally you can score dates but if the girl doesn't have more of an affinity for Asian guys you're going to have a harder time getting more dates unless your personality is immaculate and even then. Newly single though and not looking forward to the dating life again that's for sure...
Quick update. So I've gone out of my way and approached a few girls and succeeded in getting their numbers. Not going to lie I probably shot a level above my league in most of these cases but I did manage to get their numbers still. One I still casually see somewhat regularly but the others never really went anywhere. So there's like a 25% success rate. Feel free to ask questions if you want.

I'm still single 6 months since my original post but I've gotten to the point where I realized I'm better off at this time in my life being single. @@00Peacemaker oh and to answer your question about not making race a big deal. That's definitely true but I think you'll notice that utah girls aren't surface level into Asian guys. If there is one who is then she'll really be into you because we're more rare here. There's a risk however of her being weird and fetishizing our race which might sound fun at first but just gets cringey as time goes on lol.
Right but it doesnt mean they aren't attracted. Most are just not used to Asian guys approaching them because they assume Asians stick to their own cultural kind but no.
One of us on the gallery staff (an Asian guy) lives here in Salt Lake City and definitely can tell you that Utah isn't the place for Asian male dating with white ladies there. Racism and prejudice is quite predominant here. So definitely I think this video is way too superficial. His experience is stick to LA or NYC where dating for Asian guys is a lot better.

@TheEvolady Utah seems like a really wonderful place! I'm asian and would love to visit someday. Here in California there's so much unfair stereotyping of other states. I think there's so much in this world that we all share which is good and noble, if only people would stop jumping to conclusions based on how people seem, culturally.

I used in live Provo, Utah and my expectations did not meet my experiences. The women found me interesting there because I did not fit the local demographic of people living there. I did not get to date but I only lived there for a year. The women are beautiful and have personality.

But here's the funny thing...for the Americans who happen to be Asian that ultimately focused on how to get ahead of their white/black/latin counterparts in social cred, well......they just applied the same level of work ethic, but to influence non-Asian men and women. By work ethic I mean, Asians are ALWAYS reduced to a stereotype and AUTOMATICALLY discounted. So working twice as hard to be funnier, charming, smart, savage, aggressive, manipulative (in a good way) is/was KEY. Non-Asians might be thinking "less" of Asian men with us only having .4% of the population in America and being the newest minorities to America, but I guarantee 30-60 yrs will be completely different with more generations for a million reasons that I won't type here. I'm Vietnamese British and my wife is British. We're both mormons. If I'm being honest, most of everyone is accepting of it. But there will be salty white guys that you have to adapt to when going to church.

As an American man who happens to be Asian, I always find these funny, yet I get why they're done. I'm a bit of an anomaly, but still. Context: grew-up with all women household, had a passion to learn about what makes people tick, hence my love and deep understanding of sociology/psychology and WOMEN (or so I think). Add to the context me being over 6 feet tall, hopefully attractive, raised in middle America and lived/dated on every coast.
I'm a bit older now, but I'll say my objective in life when I was younger was to bang as many females from each races (primarily the hard-to-get aka attractive/mainstream/superficial one's). Why? Because, primarily with white, those are the hardest to convince for anyone.
Anyways, having achieved my goal with all races with regards to sex, dating and love...one thing is certain...PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE AND THEY'RE ATTRACTED TO WHAT THEY'RE ATTRACTED TO (with a lot of underlying factors coming from media influence, but still). The MAIN DIFFERENTIATORS are which women are SECURE in themselves, CULTURED (aka just smart) and VALUE driven. Think about it, if that's fundamentally in-place, race isn't an issue and that woman would be attracted to you, for you being YOU (inside and out). People get caught-up on random statements of XYZ race people think like this or XYZ race people prefer this. It's all BULLSHIT. The same type of personality/values exist in each race. People are just too lazy, don't have the tools to think deeper and want the easy answer.
Agreed. That's why I finally figured that Christian girls are the best way to go when it comes to real romance and true love. You see, God created us all equally, men, women, boys, girls of all ethnic backgrounds. We are all human beings, one race, not multiple ones. Media has lied and has generalized people in "multiple" races to cause racism. I personally prefer white girls as I find them amazing, beautiful and I have the dream of this east & west kind of romance. It has been my dream and I've had dreams of being a gorgeous blonde girl too, as boyfriend & girlfriend. Yes, I am Asian, I live in Canada and I grew up becoming a part of American/Canadian culture. I love everyone from my church (LDS Christian church) and everyone loves me for me, even the girls there.

And in order to do that I only get into committed relationship for real fundamental reasons (personality and values compatibility). Whether that comes the form of an Asian, White, Black, Latina etc doesn't matter. At least to me, that's how it should be. I just wouldn't want to start a relationship with the initial premise having been based on something about a fantasy, image etc. And hey if religion is a big part of your value system then I could see why you lean towards Christian girls. Family, cultural and religion are the top 3 institutions that help define a person, so that's huge.

There aren't Asians at BYU. And they haven't been surrounded by Asians. So of course they haven't had experiences around Asians. The mormons that I've met have all been super nice so I don't think they're closed minded or not open to it. But then again I don't know any Asian mormons.

It's the diversity, there isn't much of a huge Asian population in the Midwest. Most are either in Cali, NY, Hawaii or Seattle and Houston but definitely not in the Midwest.

In terms of mate selection criteria, men and women have different standards. Women focus more on the social value of a man, while men choose their mates more according to their primitive instincts. So some of East Asian women choose white people , because white people grew up in developed countries and have higher social values (money, status, etc.).
Another example is : in the east asia，you always see that a beauty girl will prefer a Rich ugly man ,rather than a moneyless handsome! so women's Standards are complicated! If we want to make statistical comparison, we should first control the parameters: let both the East Asian and Western white, have the same social value, then let the woman choose, which can get more accurate results!
