Come join me for a solo wild camp in the Peak District! The first night I ended up bailing but it's always good to know when to call it a day, right? The second attempt was a little wetter and I didn't quite get the views I was hoping for but it was still beautiful to be out in the wild.
Please remember to never eat any wild food, be it plant, fruit or fungi, unless you are 100% certain of its identity and always cross check your resources. Finally, remember to take only what you need from places of abundance, and always leave plenty for the wildlife too.
If you’d like to follow along for more foraging, growing and wild content, you can join me over on all the socials @danniinthewild
Thanks for watching!
Thank you - enjoyed your video. Like the way you identify so many interesting edible plants. 😊
I really enjoyed watching you that looks like a beautiful place to go camping ❤️🤗🌿
We love you danni in the wild. Keep those vids coming.
Some great insights into plants, thanks - followed to keep up with future adventures!
A fantastic video by a fantastic woman
Brilliant Danni bless you ❤🍄🌻🌼🌸🌺🌷🤘🏽🎸🍻
Great video. Really informative too. I’ve never ever foraged. Thanks for sharing. I’ve liked and subscribed and look forward to watching more!
I enjoy watching camping videos, so this was a treat to watch Danni 👍
I recon you’re absolutely blooming marvellous, a real joy to watch & unwind, ready for the graft ahead.
Yes, mugwort gives a lucid dream if steeped to long, but find it gives a false sleep.
Mugwort? Interesting! I suppose the effects are similar to nutmeg, isn't it?
Is it considered toxic?
Just found your channel Danni. What fantastic knowledge you have. Excellent 😂❤
New here Danni and I must say I enjoyed that end to end - you are a down-to-earth nature lover who inspires. Busy at first but hey we like people but we also like our solitude. A lovely pitch it must be said - I always love the morning reveal. What have we hot outside? It looked magic. Well, a good breaky there. Nothing better. All the best. Mark
Thermarest trail lite mats are self inflating just open the valve and leave it for 10 minutes. Might need a breath or 2 depending on how firm you want it. Top vid, Nice one!
Wow, hi Danni, been waiting for years for a new video. Sorry to hear about the car incident, hope you're OK 👍. My mushroom 🍄 sorties have been abject failures.
Keep the videos coming please 🙏. ❤
If you’re using a blow up sleeping mat/bed in colder months or on damp ground. Put a space blanket or other insulation layer under it to stop the cold from damp/cold ground. Then they work fine and you won’t get cold.
Great video, i love my peace n quiet too lol😅, wild blueberries are incredible😋, most of the one's in the store's nowadays are really bland and quite expensive too!😂✌️
Hello Danni, from NZ, enjoying your video, very much so. As a guide and bushcraft instructor I was very interested in the plants that you were showing. On a day trip in our forests, a good student can remember the names of up to 40 plants, but not their full use. When they know the names and can identify them then I will take them through their usage. Your 'Birch Polypore' is much like one that we have over here, we call it "the Artist palette", with a small stick, one can write a message or draw on it.
I think that you would like it over here for the plants (and of course the scenery).
ATB Cheers from the mountains of NXZ 😊😊
really random how I came across your channel and I'm not sure but I also know "Ginger Jo", maybe a coincidence, she comes to my gong baths in Preston. Anyhow, enjoying your wisdom!
very nice video, thank you!!!!
Them organic berries are some of the most nutritious foods on the planet Danni girl the pipes & pies are calling
I've never tried Bilberries 😀I'll have to try some 👍
Lovely video! Perhaps we can get you camping up in Scotland some time 🙂
Real legends wildcamp 🙂 subbed ⛺️👌
ah looks like Lawrencefield not a long walk from owler tor/car paark :) but if you went to the top of mothercap/surprise view would of got a nice open 360 view of the area. ive camped on surprise view and iit was a beautfuil night!
Great video. I'm really familiar with the peak district. Many good bilberry areas in the moorland. Apparently there was quite the market for bilberry back in Victorian times in the peak district.n. Some really beautiful places. Will be out scouting for mushrooms soon😊
Tic-Vill, Ha Ha, wish I knew where that was they always seem to get me.
I been told a little bit of meths rubbed in helps
Enjoyed this, be good to see more like this 🙌🔥
Bilberry! Will look out for them next year
Be very careful! I have run into quite a few angry grumpkins while camping in that area.
Just subscribed, I got my liberty caps

Clearly not equipped both physically and metally, you should be carefully camping obviously
I love the British views when heather blooms..!🥹 We had the most wonderful hike this summer on Grey Mares Tail trail, which was magnificent and I strongly recommend it for all!
