Trust me Gixxer puts smile on your face every time you take out.. but conditions apply, the way Gixxer goes is how you ride that. If you are driving more like commuter 3k rpm is enough on 5th gear you are on 55-60 with that. But that is not how you should ride the Gixxer.. being a 3 years as owner of it I now how it wants you to ride...
U must change gear after below speeds
1 gear - 44
2 gear - 67
3 gear - 90
4 gear - 105
5 gear - really do you need it 🤔
I tune my Gixxer with following
Ideal rpm 1k
Throttle wire should be tight
Give a choke before it starts
Tire pressure 32Frount-38Rear
The grunt after 4.5k rpm is aswome. And down shifts are crazy above 6k rpm like honey in the ears..
And finally the reliability of Suzuki is awesome every 3 mnts after servesing bike feels like new one.

Already bought gixxer SF and it is pretty much good to ride and the most important thing is the Aerodynamic design which helps to Cruise in Highways without any wind disturbance not too much of vibrations and trust me dude the power is awesome only the problem is with the pillion seat because it is not so much comfortable but you can make it with some changes made with this seat and also there is a problem the seat is so small that it is not for family definitely not it's for one person sitting behind or else you can ride for a longer distance alone
600Rs will buy u a addon seat which u can strap to the back for more pillion comfort.
The gixxer is a better all rounder and clearly wins in terms of fun. Plus... if we look at heritage... suzuki has been around for a LONG time than TVS. TVS has to copy suzuki and others (cough BMWs help) to churn out new bikes.

Did you already buy it? How is the performance and the abs? Is the pillion seat really as tiny as they say? Also, How smooth is the gearbox? One of the biggest complaints with Gixxer is that its gear shifts are rough and the clutch is also tight as hell.
I'm looking to buy a new 160 cc bike that is both fun and has utility but I'm torn between the Apache and the Gixxer Sf abs.

I own a gixxer which is now more than 3.5 years old. The bike is still in good condition and can easily overtake Hornet on the Highway.

I'm 6 foot tall and I don't find my apache uncomfortable in any way. I own a 200 though, the overall seating ergonomics is still similar in 160. It's comfortable for long runs too.

@@burriarun378 I did around 160 kms on 160 4v. It wasn't that comfortable. For 80-90 kms it will be absolutely fine . You can't take pilion for more than 50 kms . It is very hard for the pilion to sit in rear after 50 kms.
For long run like above 120 kms Suzuki will be more comfortable for rider.

GIXXER pushes the entire game forward to a whole new level in the case of handling capablities..even after the upgrade ,the old bst handler RTR still cant match that Solid front end feel nd easiness which the gixxer has..

I don't quite agree with the notion that Gixxer isn't practical.
I own a Gixxer SF with FI and ABS.
It's extremely practical. Very easy to flick it around traffic to the point where I can just ease through huge vehicles easily without too much effort.
Getting a mileage of 53-57 on regular basis is very practical. And this isn't with conservative riding either.
The amount I spend on Maintenance is enviably low. The Suzuki provides an amazing hassle free bike with the Gixxer.
It's very comfortable if you're between 5'6" and 5'9".
Cant comment on the new TVS; but I know that the old one vibrates at higher speeds. The Gixxer doesn't vibrate even at 120 kmph. It is incredibly stable.
The only things I'd say are disadvantages of the Gixxer are
1)The Pillon Seat.
2) The Pickup / Acceleration.
3) The Headlights - they are shit. The only thing you should really consider changing.

Tell me about mileage
Never buy a Gixxer..The problems are : 1. Its chain gets noisy if u dont service it on time
2. The gear shifts become very hard if u dont maintain it by servicing.
3. Worst seat on Gixxer..It feels as if we are sitting on a stone..Very stiff, my bums started paining after riding it continuously for around 35 kms..The seat is very uncomfortable..Apache is way better in every aspect except unsuitable for tall riders..
