Dakota Wood , I never knew that about the gauges in the back with the little windows. Thank you for showing us that. And the LED strip is such an awesome idea. I love your videos
I'll see what I can do. My camera will support it, I just need to mess around with my editing software. It is kinda confusing with all the video rendering settings. I'll try and fix that for my future vids.
difference is that with a -3- 4 speed you won't risk blowing up your engine at highway speeds ;) edit: meant 4 speed...if you have a 3 speed, there's a risk of blowing up the engine or throwing a piston rod out if it's constantly at high RPMs
Basically a 3L80 transmission (4L80 without Over Drive). The M998 is a 3 speed. The M998A1 is a 4 speed which has Over Drive and Park. The 3 speed has no Park so you always have to use the parking brake.
just letting you know that the park setting on the transmission should never be used to park the car - always use the parking brake first, _then_ engage the parking gear. the transmission's parking gear simply engages a pawl that locks the shaft preventing it from moving, as such if someone crashes into your parked car or you frequently park on a slope, in the case of the latter, constant stress on the pawl and other transmission components will cause it to eventually fail. In the case of the former, the force of another car smashing into yours may cause the pawl to simply snap off, meaning that there's nothing stopping your vehicle from rolling away. to expand on Salty's comment, fitting a 4L80E tranny is just one of many parts that would constitute the A1 variant of humvee. There's more info here on the differences between the A0, A1 and A2 versions: olive-drab.com/od_mvg_hmmwv_variants.php

Hey mate, any chance of you uploading 1080p60fps just for the smoothness? Or doesn't your camera support 60 fps?
I'll see what I can do. My camera will support it, I just need to mess around with my editing software. It is kinda confusing with all the video rendering settings. I'll try and fix that for my future vids.
