    Nice man had a draw today that kicked my butt on a 20 Durango. Ending up being tailgate module keeping all the buses awake. Essentially keeping the bcm awake wich woke up can c and can interior high speed

    I am having the same problem on a 05 Altima. I switched out the ECM for one I found on EBay. Still crank but no start. I am also having a p0340 code which indicates bad crank shaft sensor, open or closed circuits, timing belt, poor harness connection, etc. I changed out everything except the timing belt and still crank and no start. So I will be sending the EBay ECM back. Thank you for these videos. They’re very informative…

      The P0340 is for the Camshaft sensor, If you have an oscilloscope, I would check the output out of that sensor.

    Having the same problems with my 2005 Altima and even though I finally got it back running my wife will drive it for an hour and then when she stops to get gas the car will just stall out repeatedly after being restarted and once it cranks again a lot of white smoke will come out of the exhaust and then after a minute of sputtering I will hear the engine rev back up to normal and the white smoke goes away and shortly after I found out that Nissan had a recall on the 05’s for the camshaft sensor overheating and faulty ECM programming causing it but even though sites like Kelly Blue Book say my VIN number is covered under the recall/campaign number my local Nissan dealership is telling me they don’t “think” it is covered in their system and we will need $200 just to bring the car back and look at it so I don’t know what else to do but take it to Nissan because programming a ECM is something I’ve never dealt with and don’t want to make the problems worse but very helpful video and definitely helped me out thank you

    kudos for tracking down the no start.
    Would you like to share what you learned from this experience and what you might do differentlyd next time?
    I believe allldata provides links to description of the ignition system's operation. did you read it?
    im on chilton library via harris county public library and while it is not as intuitive as all data they show oem digrams its not as userer friendly as one would like. check it out in your not so spare time ! for the nissan vehicle it shows the transitiors in the ignition coil schematic. id put the pichere but it
    a helper would have helped. you couuld have pulled a iginition coil to see if you had spark . that would have sent you to check the ouputs from the ecm sooner, no?

    I have a 06 frontier will only run on starting fluid. Cam and crank sensor have been changed and fuel pump. The ecm was sent off and checked and they said everything was good. What could it be

      I would start by checking fuel pressure, that will give you direction. If you have pressure then check injectors for power and control, if no fuel pressure then test power and ground to pump

      @advancedleveldiagnostics ya, those are the ones he sells. I got the cheap Amazon knock-offs off those. I do a lot of diagnosing on semi trucks at a truck dealership, pain to find any waveforms on anything. I'll definitely be watching more!

      @advancedleveldiagnostics they only have 1 banana jack on the side posts instead of 2 banana jack's. So you have to pay attention more when connecting the probe. If you can get over that they work fine.

      @@advancedleveldiagnostics I think if you put it on gently and pulled it straight off it would be fine. I use a magnetic Astro light usually on the roof and bend it down to light the interior up to open a locked car. No scratches but I am very careful as the customer is usually looking over my shoulder while I retrieve their locked in keys. The A/C guys usually use these working outside on the condenser. Not as critical as a car but I'm sure the customers don't want their paint scratched on those either. The Supco is about 1/4 of the price but yours can be more useful for non mag surfaces but almost $300 damn!

      I don't know your exact situation but you can just unplug the alternator if that's your issue.

      What computer got replaced to fix the issue. I have an 04 Nissan Altima with the same issue. Got spark and recently changed my fuel and fuel pump. Cranks but doesn’t start just like your videos. Even after spraying brake cleaner

      @@adanrodriguez6426 In my case, I had spark. If you have no spark I would check the crank sensor and make sure you have power to the coils.

I’m also getting spark and assumed because I had spark my cam and crank sensor was good (or I was told from other videos trying to solve my problem). Out of all the videos I’ve seen trying to figure my situation out your situation seems identical. What computer got replaced to fix the problem?

    Wow so everything looks good on a ad computer? Cam,crank ,injector pulse and ignition coil signal thats horrible cause i bought an ecu for altima 2006 2.5 and no start same as the original one but this one iam not getting fuelinjector pulse

      I have to rewatch my video but I'm pretty sure I had no injection pulse. Cam and Crank were fine.
