I'd blame everyone but the actors, cuz they have nothing to do with how shitty the story is, they were just given a script and asked to do what they do best
I'm never upset about the performances turned in. I'm proud of all the actors, crew, set designers, artists, and editors who put all the effort they had into making the best thing they could with the material they were given. What I'm mad about is how a non-verbal fight between directors, meddling from corporate executives, and a complete lack of risk-taking led to a trilogy that low-key shits on everything star wars is about. The conclusive finale to a nine part "series" is basically a vicarious fight attempting to recapture the feelings of the sixth movie, which ultimately makes the narrative impact of that entire trilogy into the worst thing it could have been for the greater story of Star Wars: No impact, nothing.
