12:29 I live in Sweden and it is pretty common that people scarfs during the late fall and winter, because otherwise it gets quite cold. Also, you can use your scarf as a blanket in school or on the train :)

As someone who didn't grow up seeing many hijabis where I lived (rural Ireland), I think your scarves are just beautiful. I know that isn't the point (really kinda the opposite since its about modesty, right?) but I just wanted to say. The possibilities are endless, so many variations in methods of folding and securing, multiple scarves layered, matching colours perfectly to outfits or creating perfect accents with bright pops of complementary colours... you take my breath away! There's such an elegant art to it that I think a lot of non-muslims aren't aware of, I certainly didn't know this until I started to watch hijabi TH-camrs. Again I hope this doesn't come across as weird, and I should point out that I'm a girl saying this so not a guy being weird and fetishizing or anything. Just from one gal to another, I think your scarves are stunning.

I definately remember Uggs and plaid flannels being a big fashionable thing in middle school. (This was suburban northeast Virginia.) Other than that, no one cared what you wore. My parents couldn't afford Uggs. I got dark-brown knock-offs because I needed winter shoes and I honestly couldn't tell the difference. I was happy. Their wallets were happy.
