Following the learning in terms of engagement and meaningful life that may be different or that may not be different? Is one way learning without execution in real life is a pleasure only?
Sex is pleasure..., Love is happiness...,,,. People may get bored by pleasure and pleasure is time being or short term.. but happiness is permanent and life long or long lasting..... Thank you master now I understand difference between sex and love.... One is necessity and another one is completeness or profoundness .... permanent solution...
Sathya Sai Baba say's, Real Happiness lies only union with God. All others are transient. Duty with love is Devine Duty with out love is deplorable. I thing If we replace the word "like" with "love" , we connect with higher reality as you explained. With Love Suri

I don’t think anything in life is so cut and dry . Doing my duty gives me pleasure but also frustrates me because the body gets tired , the mind needs a break and finding that balance can be difficult.being aware helps me cut out the crap but I also have to remind myself that this body is only human . At time I resent the humaneness, the fallibility of our being .

Question : I feel reading the questions first and then reading the material tend to entice me to skim through the reading materials and trying to find the sections where I wil get answers to the questions . Is it is general phenomenon among many people ?

There are too many politicians and politics gangs are working using FM radio/TV /Writers/Advertisers/Contractors/Property Dealers/Contrating agents/Signalling being applied everywhere with some Some IT under hands guiders/so called scientists and much more going on??? Happiness is not in status quo.There must be change for comparison. If the change is positive you are happy if negative you are unhappy..comparison is essential. Either compare your state i n past or present or your state with state of others.

i have a doubt here....just somewhere around 37:24 swamiji mentions seligman story if instead of distributing gifts to poor they were to study for test and many of them passed it then that could have equated to present unhappiness and future happiness (after six months) and that could have changed the whole quadrant......so plszz can any1 collaborate on this by analysis
Swami ji teaching vedanta to IIT students and making they realized how great india is and how great spiritual teachings are. The moment final year gets over, these spiritual seekers land in US and try all possible means to get green card their. Never turns back to India. This is the side affect of these spiritual teachings. Get education in india and serve US. These seekers really know how to apply vedanta in real life. its a win win situation for both, swami ji got mileage saying he has been giving lectures in IITs and students fake themselves thinking they are really better souls now. Its all time pass.

I am being to understand that happiness is overrated. Sadness and happiness go hand in hand .
Pleasure is always temporary and law of diminishing return holds good. If it is continued Pleasure diminishes and vanishes after some time
