  • Basic Self Defense Techniques: Escaping Bear Hug
    - Rear Bear Hug w/ arms free: Headbutt is available to you immediately. Grind your knuckles into the backside of your opponent's hand and stomp their shin or foot. Grab the fingers of your opponent's open hand and turn towards your opponent. As you turn into your opponent, elbow and/or hammer fist them in the face and run away.
    - Rear Bear Hug w/ arms pinned: Same as before, however if your opponent lifts you kick them in the shin to help your opponent release you. As you turn towards your opponent like before you can slap instead of elbow if that is more comfortable, then run away.
    - Front Bear Hug w/ arms free: Headbutt is available. Knees and stomps are available. As they pull back away from you then you can open up with elbows to their head and then run away. If they pick you up you can also kick them in the shin.
    - Front Bear Hug w/ arms pinned: Same as before, however you can slap instead of elbow if that is more comfortable as they disengage from you from all the strikes, then run away.
