I don't know why I started it but somehow it became a habit of mine 😅 In the Amenity kit I got everything I needed for this 7 hour flight back to Germany but the seat is not much better than in Economy. F.e. the legrest is completely useless for a person of my height. If I stretch my legs, they don't even touch the legrest. Also the configuration is nothing special. Have you seen the SQ Premium Eco seat in the last 3 rows of their A350 ULR? That's what I would like to have 😂
@Fly Around At least you had a full amenity kit and welcome drink. You don’t get that on SQ. Oh yes I have the same problem with the leg rest! The angle is so poor when fully deployed it does not provide any support to your calves. I wrote to the airline to complain. It’s in effect a useless piece of equipment that is just taking up space. Yes I’ve seen SQ’s A350 ULR but that configuration is for their ultra Long haul flights to New York. Their normal premium economy is probably almost the same as Lufthansa.
Funny you mentioned LOT Polish Airlines. I flew with LOT many times and it was usually a negative experience. One time flying out of Newark, we were scheduled to take off in the evening around 7 or 8 pm, don’t remember the exact time, but we didn’t take off until about 7 AM the following day. Spent all night at the gate and LOT did absolutely nothing for their customers. Another time coming back from Warsaw on a LOT flight, the flight was delayed about 7 hours. Ultimately we ended up boarding some middle eastern plane that I guess was a substitute for the LOT airplane we were originally supposed to get on. There was also a time when I got to my destination in Poland, but my luggage didn’t arrive until the next day thanks to LOT. Unreal!
Wow. Your experience differs a lot from my experiences. My last flight was 4 hours delayed as well but the ground staff in New York provided free drinks and a food voucher after 3 hours on the ground. What was the reason for your delay? If it wasn't due to the weather you have the chance to get 600 Euros of compensation. They paid me immediately after I emailed their customers service. :) Anyways, thanks for watching my Lufthansa video haha
I flew on PE recently on a day and a red eye flight on an LH A333. I booked a promotion fare and I think it was worth the money, especially on the red eye flight. I slept roughly five of seven hours, because I skipped the meal services. I had meals bevor and after the flight in LH lounges. Btw good work, good report.

I am 6’5” and the seat being a hard shell, does not lend to space or leg room when extended. It is a poorly thought out process. The service was great the food was good. If I am to fly LH again, I would sooner choose a bulkhead seat for the legroom. My first time on the A350 , I loved the flight and the quiet of the cabin and the entertainment choices.

Thinking of doing this PE for Toronto to MUC next spring. It's around an extra $380CAD, 7 hr 25 min. flight. Have done PE only on Air Canada. Reviews of LH's PE seats online, are rather lukewarm or mixed. Apparently, the seats are hard (firmer) compared to other airlines' PE offerings. Did you find the seat cushions hard on your back/behind? Thanks for a nice video.
I'm honest with you... The seats are not much more comfortable than LH's Economy seats. The meal will be the same but on more fancy plates etc. Also, I am 1.86m tall (6'1) and the leg rest that is only available in the first row doesn't provide more comfort. You will have the same legroom in the first row of Economy Class. Better wait and upgrade yourself to Business Class one day :)

You're right! I think an emergency exit seat might be a better option. I'm never really impressed by premium economy anyway and I would have to pay a few hundred euros just to get the upgrade.
Bin jetzt schon öfters mit der PE von LH geflogen, A333, A343, A346 und A380. Das etwas mehr Platz und etwas weiter verstellbare Rückenlehne bei langen Flügen : FRA-MIA, YVR-MUC, FRA-SAN, SFO-MUC. Ist mir den Aufpreis wert.
Besonders im A330/A340 ist meiner Meinung nach der Aufpreis zu hoch. Da hat man mehr Platz, wenn man einen Notausgang (ohne Aufpreis) reserviert... In den anderen Flugzeugen kann ich das natürlich kaum beurteilen :)
To be honest I don't know how to fly in Lufthansa's regular economy product, if you're taller than 185cm/6'1'' - I tested it at ITB earlier this year and it comes close to the definition of torture. So I think the Premium Eco you're showing is a good alternative, although it's not overwhelming as you say. Good job with your video! What's next?

Furthermore, I would like to compare the Exit seat of LH (that I usually book with a height of 1.86m) to the Premium Economy Class. And after this particular flight, I decided for myself that it is not worth it. The service is the exact same as in Economy and the seat was not that much more comfortable than in Economy. In the future, I will save the extra money and spend it on a Business ticket if it is affordable. Next up is another LH flight back to NY in Premium Economy. With the destruction of Air Berlin they have even more freedom to do what they like. Additionally, LH has very close ties with most German companies, so they have a constant amount of business travelers. That explains how they make their ticket prices. In Poland the situation is completely different. But for you as a flexible traveler that's good. As I said I rarely fly with Star Alliance, but I heard good things about the catering of Austrian Airlines in business class.
Yes, that's true. After AirBerlin was gone LH reached a point where they have some kind of supremacy in the German Aviation industry. The only aspect that makes LH always a safe choice is their consistency in their product. As a traveler, you know what you get and that's why a lot of people still trust LH. I'm saving up my miles right now for an Austrian flight, as a lot of people already asked for a review about it :)

Two years later, I get to answer your comment and I will answer your questions - My favorite airline is always the one I am flying on next. Before every flight I do a lot of research of the airline and get excited even more. Also, I would take the A350 over the B787 any day. :)
I booked a trip in Premium Economy next month on an A350. The difference in airfare between Economy and Premium Economy was only $450 so it made it a no brainier. It makes a big difference on a 9 or 10 hour-flight have more space and comfort.
@@dqui1994 For real. I'm going to Frankfurt from NYC in March. I'm going to bid for PE but not going over the minimum bid of $155. If I lose the bid I'll just pay $85 for an exit seat and be happy. It's a 7.5 hour flight.
Just got off of this (ORD to MUC). Not terribly impressed. Even with full recline I have no hope for sleep, there is no air vent adjustment, and for the difference in price I would have appreciated a more differentiated meal and service experience. That said I’m sure it was much better than economy or even Delta’s 2-4-2 premium economy on their A350.
LH is a master of marketing hype. The A350 is just another plane. It's nice, no doubt. But I've flown on an AC 787-9 several times, and given a choice....it's 787 all the way, in economy. Seats more comfy, and the cabin just feels more airy and I'm less fatigued when I deplane after 8 hrs. cheers.
I flew Lufthansa Premium Economy from Frankfurt to Mumbai. And it's nothing astonishing. Very disappointing. Service, food and drinks. I think the Lufthansa quality has really gone down. Don't waste your time and money. I also noticed passengers being ill treated by airline staff at Frankfurt Airport. I above average expectations from Lufthansa. But highly disappointed. It was My first time flying this airline and it will be the last

I flew Lufthansa Airbus a 350 and there was on upgrade possibility to the Premium economy for 360€.

Two years later, I get to answer your comment and I will answer your questions - My favorite airline is always the one I am flying on next. Before every flight I do a lot of research of the airline and get excited even more. Also, I would take the A350 over the B787 any day. :)

I booked a trip in Premium Economy next month on an A350. The difference in airfare between Economy and Premium Economy was only $450 so it made it a no brainier. It makes a big difference on a 9 or 10 hour-flight have more space and comfort.
Totally agree. On flight over 6 hours, the seat you have does matter a lot. The extra space makes the experience so much better

@@dqui1994 For real. I'm going to Frankfurt from NYC in March. I'm going to bid for PE but not going over the minimum bid of $155. If I lose the bid I'll just pay $85 for an exit seat and be happy. It's a 7.5 hour flight.

Just got off of this (ORD to MUC). Not terribly impressed. Even with full recline I have no hope for sleep, there is no air vent adjustment, and for the difference in price I would have appreciated a more differentiated meal and service experience. That said I’m sure it was much better than economy or even Delta’s 2-4-2 premium economy on their A350.
I couldn't agree more. But what aspect makes you come to the conclusion that it is better than Delta's A350 Premium Economy Class?
@@FlyAround Lufthansa’s PE is 2-3-2. I don’t know if the seat itself is wider on LH, but the armrest certainly is wider on LH than Delta.
Lufthansa will bring the Airbus a 350 to Montreal next month.

LH is a master of marketing hype. The A350 is just another plane. It's nice, no doubt. But I've flown on an AC 787-9 several times, and given a choice....it's 787 all the way, in economy. Seats more comfy, and the cabin just feels more airy and I'm less fatigued when I deplane after 8 hrs. cheers.
I flew Lufthansa Premium Economy from Frankfurt to Mumbai. And it's nothing astonishing. Very disappointing. Service, food and drinks. I think the Lufthansa quality has really gone down. Don't waste your time and money. I also noticed passengers being ill treated by airline staff at Frankfurt Airport.
I above average expectations from Lufthansa. But highly disappointed. It was My first time flying this airline and it will be the last
