I flew with Lufthansa recently from Birmingham to Bangkok via Munich £987 , The long haul flight from Munich was on the A380, the cabin crew were very nice, sadly the food that was served was not. Breakfast was omelette and spinach??? Not a sausage in sight 😢 Munich airport was very easy to navigate although the staff at the boarding gate seemed a bit overwhelmed and abrupt. Mmmmmm I am not really convinced. They need to pull up their socks in order to survive in this industry. The competition is getting tougher every single day...watching all the way from South Africa.
Best thing about Lufthansa is that you still have the opportunity to fly on a 747 or the beautiful 340-600 or It's smaller sister 340-300, but that aside Lufthansa certainly seem to struggle in providing a good product in Economy and PE. BA are much better, how the mighty fall.
Just flew LH 747-400 from Frankfurt to JFK in business today, and it was my worst experience ever. Outdated seat design aside, everything was filthy. The washroom floors were wet/sticky at all times. The food was literally stale and unsafe to eat. Simply disgusting
@@sblue3964 Lufthansa certainly seem to be having major problems in reversing service standards, post Covid they really have declined in many aspects of operation. A few years ago didn't they have a advertising slogan stating Lufthansa the 5 star airline?
brilliant review as usual, that dinner and snack service was really poorly presented why do so many airlines do cream cheese sandwhiches when so many people these days steer clear of gluten and cream/lactose? the chicken looked nice tho and a nice balanced meal for a long flight! looking forward to the next review!! i agree with virgin atlantic having excellent PE. i had a full christmas dinner, followed by a christmas stocking with a swarovski pen as a gift from LAX to LHR on Virgin atlantic ;') good times . BA was excellent too. i had a delicious steak beautifully presented with proper cutlery/crockery on their premium economy from LHR to rio de janerio
Really depends on the flight, date, route etc. I’d look to pay a very small % amount extra above and beyond economy if I were booking it with them again. For me personally, anything much more than 25% on top of the economy fare wouldn’t be worth it…
Hi, not the best experience in premium. surely they would take a good look at the competition and realise they have to improve. Like you say not one to recommend. cheers

Yeah not too bad, taste wise was good but was pretty small sadly! Rather like a regional business class meal you could say 😊

Yeah indeed. I think those improvements (to the hard product at least) are for sure on their way - will be good to try them and see how they compare!
