    I finally got a decent car together and just raced a few days ago. What a blast but I had no clue what I was doing, I just knew I was doing it wrong. The car will walk past people on the straight but I had no clue what to do with the entry speed. This video makes it all makes sense now. I'm gonna rewatch it a few time and really get it stuck in my head right before my next race. Thanks!

    Good video for beginners! I’ve been racing dirt for 3 years in Canada and this is all very good info!

    Best advice ever givin for fwd drivers. Seen veteran drivers make the mistakes you pointed out every damn week.! All dirt tracks should make first career start drivers watch this video. Few guys with big motors I don’t want them to see this..lol But you can sure bet I am forwarding this to even feature winners last year, because this is like gospel to getting maximum lap times.. consistent lap times. One thing many drivers don’t understand is that 1 bad lap may cost you a feature. And my input is PATIENTS if your running 2nd in the early laps of a feature. Show him/her your nose a few laps, and they will drop lower and lower until you make your move against the cushion. Thank you for sharing.!!

    I do this on my 2000 Mercury Sable V6 FWD ENDURO car. With the steering wheel straight bring the left front wheel out 1/4 to 1/2 inch and air at 32 pds. On the rear adjust both wheels to the right about 1/2 inch , this will bring the rear of the car out as you turn. This will effect the front and kill the push that FWD cars deal when you turn into the corner. As soon as you let off the gas coming into the turn and the rear starts to swing out hit gas hard and the car will come around with the front not pushing. Shortest way is always around the bottom of the turn. I do most of my passing this way going around the bottom of the turn like a sprint car. Air : LF -32 RF- 36 both rears 28-30 pds. This works if you do it right , air and rear adjust is most important, play with it a bit to find the right adjustment. Wayne

    I have been driving rear wheel drive cars and front wheel drive cars I got out of it a couple of years but next year I'm going back into front-wheel drive and that was a pretty interesting video I never really even thought about turning that wheel too sharp and what it does I know it eats the rubber off that tire real fast

    • @Raceking46
      @Raceking46  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are rule book doesn’t really allow for much adjustment for either. Not allowed to slot suspension points. I run about 2” of stagger which gives me around 3/4” camber.

    I ran fwd on asphalt on a small outside 1/4 mile in a fwd car when I was 10 no practice won my first ever race. I ran a cavalier and following year the 2 door Saturn's dominate by the way we all found out on small tracks and big tracks dirt and asphalt. Saturn's Manuel trans 97 year is the fastest in a truly stock class I went from fwd to rwd 4 cyl 2.3 mustang type class running 12k rpms on asphalt and moved up to lateodels and raced every class in-between you can think of on half mile high banked asphalt and dirt any class you can think of I have ran them. This class is all about momentum. on a big half mile high banked clay dirt track we flat fitted in 4th gear doing a hundred mph. We never lift been years since I did fwd use your throttle to straighten car out fwd mash the throttle it will straighten out. The bigger track like I ran one ery weekend in fwd and we ran smaller bullrings with braking but big tracks wide open on high side and yes he is right about that spot in the steering g wheel that hard spot. In any racecar dirt or asphalt less steering input the faster you go

    I run Eriez speedway in erie pa and stateline speedway in ny . Tire pressure rf with bead lock 20 -24 lbs 18 -22 lf both rears 27- 30 all depends on track conditions. Always 2 pound split between sides . Acura tl

    • @Raceking46
      @Raceking46  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I'm correct Eriez doesn't allow locked front differential which will greatly affect the way your car handles through the corner as well as on corner exit.

    If only there was a wall on the track I’m going to be racing at... the only wall is the front stretch and the back and corners is a steep slide down and I’ve seen tons of accidents and flips happen by letting the car slide to high and your rear tires slip up and of and you bottom out the car and flips the car violently. Had a kid recently fracture his face and broke his arm due to this and sadly it was his first race ever. I doubt to see him in the track anytime soon. I’m on a big 1/2 mile track and I see people break hard for a split second on entry and like you said right back on the throttle and stay in it and you’ll find yourself at the top of the track.

    That the car pushes in the corner we're allowed to add weight to the car when it help to put a little bit in the right front

      if the diffs welded put the weight in the LF. I wouldn't put any in RF. if you can add any rear steer that will help too. What kind of car?
