Just bought a 2004 Highlander with 262k miles today in immaculate condition for $4,000. I told my wife we could easily get another quarter million miles out of it. Couldn't be happier!
Surprisingly most Toyota Highlander’s in Chicago are not rusted out at all!! I see them all the time and I’ve had one. (2003 Toyota highlander 2.4 all-wheel-drive) They are made that well!!
Scotty im a tanker truck driver just came back from Chicago delivered on Monday when that huge storm hit then drove thru it to pick a 80000 pound load up in Madison Wisconsin and came back to chattanooga now fixing to take a load out of Knoxville and heading to Chicago you think you got it ruff lol
Best I had was a 95 ranger. 8 years in my possession, only left me on the side of the road once (serpentine belt), and only ever got oil changes and tires. Lasted 25 years, but finally succumbed to 2020 when the transmission went out. Best spent $6k, got every penny worth out of it.

@@smooveb191 I replaced mine with a cheap 89 Ranger, though it was on its last leg. I traded it in for the car I’ve wanted since 2007 (5th gen Camaro), and within an hour of driving off the lot, I was hit by an uninsured driver. Just recently got it back, and now I’m snowed in (I live about 45 minutes away from where Scotty lives) so I’m walking to work rather than risking it in this weather. Dependent upon what kind of towing/hauling capacity you need, I’d highly recommend the Ranger (not sure about 2019). Great little truck if you just need to haul a few things from time to time, though if you’re looking for a people mover or a work truck, I’d look elsewhere.

I love these winter videos. It still feels strange to see Scotty surrounded by snow. I never considered airbags and seat belts to be mutually exclusive. No surprise the SUV runs great, it's a Toyota. Definitely should've bought 2.
You should come to Wisconsin if you think that's cold. We've got a cold spell this week, and it's getting down to -20 F at nights (if you include windchill).
Went down to -4 here in Northeast Indiana with lots of snow on the ground. 2010 Toyota Venza AWD and even up to 18" snow drifts have not be able to stop it.
@@steelisthemeal the cold weather would kill the batteries anyway, because cold weather slows or stops the chemical process in a battery, which will lowers a batteries ability to hold a charge. Electric cars don’t stand a chance in a deep freeze. That’s why we need gasoline and Diesel engine. Sure they take a while to warm up, especially diesels because they don’t have spark plugs, but gas, diesel fuel, and all the other fluids in a vehicle hardly ever freeze, thanks to the chemicals, and the freezing and boiling point requirements.

Own a 2004 Toyota Highlander with 270,000 miles. Runs like a top. Just need to change the timing belts every 100,000. Needed to replace shocks, valve cover gaskets, and cats. That's all. Hoping to get 500,000 miles out of it.

Scotty, your snow makes me laugh! In Alberta Canada is for about a week and a half -22F, some snow, not like other years. It's getting better for tomorrow, but for last 4 weeks, every morning was -4F or lower!
I just bought a 2002 V6 2WD. It still good in the snow and off road with some good A/T tires. I prefere it over the 4runner because it drives way better

Have you ever heard of a exhaust being frozen solid with water? My wife's audi had a exhaust frozen solid had to heat it up to drain it.
