When you were driving and said you can’t explain how it feels, I think that’s what the Mazda engineers said about the rider and the horse becoming one. Love your review on this one, and yes, I love diesel SUVs.
I think these are excellent. The higher trim levels look genuinely premium and Mazda have really gone to town on the interior. The 6 cylinder diesel engine only further adds to its appeal.
Really, how do you explain the harsh ride, failing technology, dangerous lane assist that fights the driver, rattles from everywhere and now a failed Aircon within 10 months. This car is terrible in every way.
I have this car in Coral Red Metallic. It looks fabulous and it's still rare which I like. But. The ride is not good enough for what is supposed to be a premium car. On our potholed roads it crashes and bounces around. On smooth roads its great to drive with loads of power for overtaking. I am getting over 54mpg. A much better car than the PHEV version.
I was seriously considering this as it looks lovely on the road and as it's new, there are not many on the roads. What is putting me off on buying one is the ride comfort over our horrible UK roads. Mazda do make luxurious interiors.
It's a terrible car for ride quality, our roads are far worse than the UK and it's awful. Worst car Ive ever owned and now my air con has failed after 10 months
The amount of nonsense EV cars out there is absolutely a waste of time. Big displacement of diesel enigne that works well for long cruising is king. When fuelling up, it's a matter of a minute or two. Not spending hours looking for a plug! Owning a ev is an absolute nightmare
@@BuckleUpShow Yep. Great for some (including me) but depends on individual needs and circumstances. If you're in a position to have a home charger, that's a game changer! Easier and more convenient than having to visit a petrol/diesel station.
@@BuckleUpShow Petrol trucks could not deliver heavy loads without costing a sht tonne of petrol to run and had no low rpm peak power to do what the diesel engine does with relative ease. @@BuckleUpShow I understand wheel and tyre comfort, I had an Audi S7 on 21" wheels, dropped to 20" and the ride was so much better without spoiling the look of the car.
Not a touch screen? Plenty of space in the console? Make some effort to know the car and know what you’re talking about. Waste of my time turning this on.
Diesel is vital if you're towing unless you want massive v-a million petrol engine which drinks fuel, and it's still the most economical way to travel a long distance
BS. Modern diesel powertrains are far cleaner than batteries. Where do the virgin materials come from? Toxic mines, child labour, hmm. Where do old EV batteries go? I bet they are not recycled to the extent one might imagine. A mild hybrid battery will take less of these toxic materials at the least, unlike those overweight batteries in EVs. all this battery stuff is contributing to trouble. Too much EV kool-aide maybe?

Very true, let's see if this has similar staying power

Are you considering buying one?

It’s an incredibly compelling package
This is excellent for anyone who wants a new car, but who doesn’t like the issues new cars come with.
Indeed
Really, how do you explain the harsh ride, failing technology, dangerous lane assist that fights the driver, rattles from everywhere and now a failed Aircon within 10 months. This car is terrible in every way.
You have got to be joking. You definitely work for this company

Did you get the big wheels?
20 inch but high wall tyres. Strange combination of bounce and crash on potholed roads. Smooth and quiet elsewhere.

It depends on what you need your car for, for a lot of people an EV works well, but there are still many people for who they don't work at all

@scottgordon2688 fair point, and having a home charger the good thing is you know whether the charger works or not. No need to guess or try
Mazda are offering a free suspension upgrade and software update for the transmission to fix the ride issues
This one rode very well
@@BuckleUpShow may have already come from the factory with the upgrades. Then again, ride is subjective so who knows lol
Strange my dealer tells me there are no fixes to the harsh ride and terrible low revs gearbox

Shts on batteries big time. This is practical beyond any battery junk.
Until diesel is outlawed

I have the CX60 petrol and it is a load of rubbish
The diesel might be more up your street
Unfortunately I have wasted enough money on this company. I have lost half the value of my vehicle already no one wants them
Me too, the engine is great, the rest of the car let's it down, suspension is awful and now my air con has failed

Both of those things are true on UK cars

Not if you own a caravan
