- Here is my Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 2020 Review. I decided to buy the 10.4" Tab A7 because of its budget oriented and affordable price. This tablet is packed with high end features but it does make some compromises to get the price as low as it is. Find out if the Galaxy Tab A7 2020 model is right for you!

@@Fr0s7y. Not sure if everyone's wifi only model will come without it. It may depend on where you order it from but safer to say its skipped out for this version.
Fun fact bought this and using it. The best part is i WAS an iPad user and had a iPhone but now my iPhone has the same role as flip phone😂

I'm glad that Samsung brought the 3GB Ram version of this to India. It was really sucky that they only launched the Tab A 10.1 2019 with 2GB here.

I'm using it and around 13 gigs go from 32 gigs leaving only 16

The Tab A7 is finally a worthy successor to the Tab A 10.5 2018! The 2019 has only mono sound in landscape orientation.

Hey Kevin! At 1:35, you said there is no TRAY OPENING TOOL present inside the box. It is actually present beneath the documents provided like Warranty Card and Manual.😀

Maybe it is not provided in the US unit. But it was present in mine (INDIAN UNIT) and many other Indian tech youtubers also showed that in their videos.

Without a shadow of a doubt I'd recommend this new version over the 2019 model. 10.1" is still good but the most notable differences are the 2020 model's better software update coverage going forward and better battery life. Glad you liked the format :)
this really helped me decide if i should go all out on an ipad or get one of these for drawing, could you do a comparison to the ipad mini?

How is it?
So the U.S. Retail pricing ended up being $230. Not bad for what you get. But even more impressive is the Black Friday pricing at most retailers, just $150! That's a fantastic price for a device that hasn't been out more than a month, with the specs on the higher end of what you'd see in a budget Tablet. Along with a quality display and build quality that Samsung is famous for, some really great speakers, very solid battery life, etc, it's a fantastic deal to pick up during the holiday sales if you can snag it at that $150 price point.
Just bought a basic $10 folio case for it off Ebay, along with a $20 Ipega Bluetooth gamepad that wraps around the sides, paired it with a 128GB Sandisk MicroSD I had laying around, and I've got myself a fantastic 10" Emulation gaming machine & workstation for less than $200 total.
I used it for reading great battery backup 12hrs of SOT. When i watched a 2.30hr film with dolby atmos on it took 70% charge..

Howwww did you get very high frame rate and very high graphics on the a7? Mine only plays at low graphics and high framerate or medium fr and very high graphics..

Coming from someone who has been using 1 to 2 gig of ram and I'm sure 3 gig Ram will be noticeably better.
Does it support usb OTG and especially usb c ethernet adapter?
I understand to some it might not be worth the upgrade...but if I'm looking to buy a new Samsung Tablet...should I go for the 64gb A7 or the A8???
I have a Tab A 10.1 2016 (SM-T580). Is the A7 a worthwhile upgrade? I ask because I know the screen on the previous Tab A 10.1 2019 wasn't as good as the 2016 version I own - it was much dimmer and less vivid.

Hi Vikram ji.....I also bought this tab a week ago....new shows in the app SONY LIV & ZEE5 are tremendously lagging where as TH-cam, Netflix , Hotstar and amazon prime and light android games are running smoothly and nicely....do u have SONY LIV app ??....is it running smoothly??

@@shivajiroy9111 no I don't have any issues on Sony LIV or Zee app. Check your internet connection. I use 50 MBPS wifi at my house and all applications running smoothly on this tab
Just ordered one at the Black Friday special price of just $150. I'd say at that price it's a pretty darn impressive budget tablet without question. The only disappointing bit is that the USB-C jack is only USB2.0 when it really should be USB3.0 these days. Kinda surprising that they didn't go with 3.0 for this, but I guess ya can't have it all at this price point. For $150 I am more than happy with the purchase.

Hi Kevin, I doubt between this A7 2020 and the S6 lite... the last one being 33% more expensive at least. The S6 lite with the sensitive stylus is definitely better for note taking, but would the A7 be able to cope decently with this task?
I think the S6 lite is the real rival of 2020 entry-level Ipads, not this A7, because of the taking notes capabilities.

As for charging, does the Tab A7 support fast charging of any sort? I don't mind the charger shipping with it in the box but I already have a couple of Samsung devices with their charge including the 25w Super Fast Charger for my A70 phone. Can I use it for this Tab in case I buy one?
Does not seem to have a vibration motor, the uk wifi version hasnt that I have, no one seems to mention this in reviews as I spent hours going through settings to find the option , if its an important thing for you but its not for me as I turn that function off. Does anyone no if you can enable discover by swiping to the left option I cant find how to enable it., this is my first samsung. So far i,m pleased with mine.

nice review, i think the very old tab S is much better with oled, ir blaster, and fingerprint scanner. The other option is the alldocube iplay20.
Its display contrast is too high with glossy screen and not comfortable for eyes while using it.
Does this tablet have fast charging so that i can use my fast charger that I have already?
It does have fast charging capabilities, but doesn't come with one in the package.

They are just average doc. You have to have the screen straight into your eyes to have the best view and that's fact applies mostly when you have lines on completely white background. From a regular pdf reader on this tab
I have this tablet....it's not very good....I can't stream anything without it stuttering... except Amazon prime video... which it streams perfectly in Full HD.... mysterious??

Does anyone know if Samsung uses the same panel in all devices? The viewing experience on mine has been not very good. Viewing angles were bad, blacks way worse than on an older mediapad M5 lite, and colours seem washed out. Only the brightness is alright. Since I only watch TH-cam, view some documents and take notes, I seriously consider the matepad 10.4

Unlike Android 10 phones, Samsung removed mono / audio balance option from a7 tab. Which is a shame.

If I have known that you couldn't move your apps to your SD card I would have never bought it but besides that it's got good speakers screen is big watching videos is great but a big down size is you cannot move your apps to your SD card
it does come with the sd removable tool. take the packaging apart. sometimes it slides under the cardboard.

@@KevinRiazi it must be a fluke then. mine sm-t500 64gb version came with one. maybe the worker putting them in the boxes missed your box and you were just lucky to have gotten that box with a missing tool.

i really like my A7 64gb my friend whom i support kinda wanted me to buy the 32 because its cheaper but damn i would have ran out of storage and its my main computer. for computing stuff. just home crap. im no business person or anything. i bought a 256gb card with it making my total $300 usd at bestbuy. i put all my entire lifes collection of cd's on the sd card in lossless format. and still have like 64 gb of space to spare
