This show wasn't really Illuminations reflections of earth. This show was made specifically for the 25th anniversary, and didn't use the soundtrack of Illuminations. I don't believe it was even created yet. Also, the globe in Illuminations Reflections of Earth wasn't even there when the show debut because they didn't have technology at the time yet.
This looks interesting. But was that meteor in the video you made about Countdown To Extinction ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom real or was that just an edit you made? I just wanted to know and I just asked again since you never answered to us about that. Sorry for bothering you if you didn't want to answer it. @@marni1971 I think they're referring to meteors at the end of the ride, where the Carnotaurus head is now. I believe you when you report that they existed early on, I guess others may not be sure since I believe the video has images of meteors edited in due to the actual meteors probably not being easy to film. Such is the way of things, videographers didn't know they needed to capture things for posterity and the camcorders weren't designed for darkrides. I would be fascinated to see what they looked like in action, or were they static with a lighting effect? Same with dreaming of seeing the original Compys in action.

@@disneyboy3030 I enjoyed it. Not gonna lie. My new favorite nighttime show. I want to go to Epcot again since I haven't been to the park since 2017. Go the Distance was somewhere at the start. What made it better was SOMEDAY was the finale and it was amazing!

I remember version B well. And noticed how they over used a cymbal ride to cover a lot of the music transitions. 🤣
We saw this show in December 1997 a couple of times if I remember correctly. On home video as well.
Finally found it. The Illuminations version I was looking for that I referred to in another video response.

The show was more impactful back then, I used to like it when all the countries lit up and everyone cheered. Hopefully the new one will be as good.

This globe lasted from 1984 to 1999. The RoE globe (a totally different piece of hardware) debuted 1999.

Wonder why people were mad about Epcot Forever using Whole New World when IllumiNations 25A used Circle of Life.
The music was changed for I25 due to guest complaints.
Well both were fitting. Plus it was probably hard to make a fitting finale song.
