Loved it, so much effort and so much funny video. The only thing I found missing is explaining at every stage what issues you went through and how you took care of them in terms of grooming like beard oil, balm, etc. But kudos champ
Mostly good beard shampoo, to be honest! Oils of any kinds don’t work well with my thin-hairstrands.

A first rate funny video. That is one great effort and a job well done. I am 79 and in the second week of my first beard ever. I tried to grow a mustache when I was in my 20s, but it didn't work so I thought I could not grow a beard. If mine looked anything like yours I would be super happy. So far it is way better than I thought it would be. That is why I started watching these videos. Your is the best by far and will not be topped no matter how many more I watch. Thank you a bunch.

I agree with some of the other comments. The longer version was definitely the best! 👌🏻 My issue is that I feel I sometimes fade too much off so I’m trying to teach myself to do a nice fade while not trimming too much length off the other areas.
That’s always super tricky to do… Better to be conservative with the trims, or let a professional handle it!

Well done for trying it out Simon, it looked great especially the moustache,, but was hoping for an even bigger handlebar...lol. So, until you grow again perhaps revert to the original goatee (that looked smart|) but with a slim line moustache to go with it?
I would’ve had one if the barber hadn’t chopped too much of it! I had planned for a “Van Dyke” step down from the big beard keeping the stache, but the wife gave me an ultimatum… Had to adapt.
Not sure a small pencil stache would be a good look on me…

I been struggling to grow something for years. I didn't shave when I figured out that "shaving helps growth" was a myth. Yet still barely have fuzz on my face. I don't know how you went from struggling to able to grow that without supplements.
The chin beard I’ve had for 20 years is the part that grows the slowest BY FAR whereas my mustache is possessed by the growth demons -- because I have been shaving it off every other day for 30 years. Shaving ofyen does stimulate growth in the long haul.
Is there anyway to fix a patchy beard ? I don’t like a long beard so I keep it shorter like 17mm all around . Is there anyway to increase thickness? More hair coverage, less skin showing?
As far as I know, or at least for my face, aggressive shaving (like once a day) for an extensive period of time has stimulated growth - so everything but my chin beard grows at an alarming rate - but for patchy spots, I don’t know… Didn’t work on my bald head.
They have rollers with micro blades almost it doesn't hurt but it helps with that

It’s french-Canadian with a lot of work to remove as much of it as possible. Still a ways to go, I guess!

If the wife doesn't like your hair/facial hair (provided it's presentable and not unkempt) and will deny affection/intimacy over it, then you're better off leaving and finding the right person. If you didn't like her hairstyle, she would do the same or call it @buse.

Don’t be fooled - there was lots of trimming involved to keep it in decent, presentable shape! Had I opted to let nature take its course, I would get 2-thirds Forest Gump for sure 😅

Using beard oil with stop the itching. Remember you cant trim your way to a big beard.
