Thank you very much for watching my video! Hope you liked it! We went to eat Hina Sushi last year and loved it! Check out Hina Sushi episode here! ▶️All You Can Eat Sushi Buffet th-cam.com/video/JaNDa4yO7dc/w-d-xo.html
Recently tried Hokkaido scallop, it’s my new favorite. Also like tako, Tamago and avocado roll. After years of having to eat a low protein diet (medical reasons) I’m enjoy trying new things and slow trying “real” sushi.
Oh, Hokkaido scallops are amazing. Be sure to check out my video eating Hokkaido sushi at Hanamaru. Amazing fish coming from that region of Japan. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Sorry, they do not offer half portion rice at this buffet. We'll try to go to a sushi buffet that offers sashimi option next time we are in Japan, so be sure to check back. Thanks so much for watching!
Sweet shrimp for me. It's interesting that I have been to Tokyo almost every year for almost 10 years and I have never found great places that you have been suggesting in your videos. I am keeping a list of all these places for future visits. Thank you.
I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the videos. There are a lot of amazing places in Tokyo to visit, and I'm just highlight a few of my favorites. Have a great time on your next visit to Tokyo.
My favourite is Amaebi-sweet shrimp. I’ve never seen it outside of Japan. Hope you get to try it one day. Also Grif, gunkan is pronounced goonkan and means battleship like the shape. Enjoy!
We typically ordered our next round while we were eating. But I noticed it took about 5 to 10 minutes. Really depends on how many pieces you order and how busy it is. I would recommend ordering a large order to start and then put in an order for your next round half way through eating. Have a fun time!
Is AYCE sushi something you'd recommend for tourists, or should they start at regular short order places first? I already have a lot of AYCE sushi in the US, but it includes rolls/futomaki
For tourists or people who like sushi rolls, I probably wouldn't recommend sushi buffet. You can go to conveyor belt sushi restaurant and have better experience and spend around the same amount you would spend for buffet.
How long does it take for the sushi to come out from the time you put in your order? And are you allowed to put in another order while you are still eating to minimize the wait? Thanks in advance!
Yes, you can order while you are eating. The timing of the sushi coming out and from the time we ordered didn't seem too long. Very relaxing atmosphere, so there is no need to hurry.
Do they have a limit of pieces for each order and per person? Limit of item such as only up to 2 pieces of each item and per person when ordering? Any other rules ?
So you will be ordering off the phone, via the QR code, per table. There is a limit of 20 pieces per order, but you are not limited to the number of the item you order. So if you want 20 pieces of tuna sushi you can. They really want to avoid waste and not being able to finish. But you can place a new order the moment your first order arrives. Hope this information is helpful.
We had an amazing time. I also love the AYCE sushi in Vegas as well. Have you been to Sakana AYCE? It's been awhile, but I would recommend that sushi buffet to friends.
@@grifsfoodandtravelSushi Mon in Henderson is also a good place in Vegas! 29 bucks for AYCE lunch. I’m a recent transplant to Vegas and will be visiting Japan in November. Hopefully I can go here with my friends. One of my friends isn’t great with raw fish though, is there enough seared or grilled nigiri options here at Sushi Academy?
@@JSN723 From what I remember, there is very limited seared sushi. You have the standard egg, eel, shrimp, and octopus nigiri. You may want to check out Hina Sushi - AYCE episode. I love salmon sashimi, salmon roe sushi and uni sushi the most, but I like a big variety of sushis as well.
Oh, that sounds good. I'm a fan of a lot of sushi too.

@@grifsfoodandtravel I’ll definitely go and watch.
Awesome, thank you,! I'm traveling to Tokyo, will definitely go here!
Have a wonderful time in Tokyo and enjoy all the amazing food.
Thanks for the recommendation! Definitely gonna saved this on Google Maps to prepare for my second Japan trip hopefully in February 2025!
My pleasure! Have a wonderful time in Japan next year. I'll be back again to Japan as well, so stay tuned for more videos. ✌️
Love your videos! Very calm and relaxing ;). Quick question - can we have half portion rice, or you are forced to eat all rice?

Thanks Beverly! I'm a big fan of sweet shrimp sushi too. It is hard to find, for sure. Sorry about the mispronunciation. Will work on it.
That all looks delicious. My Fave would be Uni and Unagi.
Nice thing about this place, you can order as much uni and unagi as you want and have a feast. 😂 I need to eat more Uni and Unagi!
雛ずしは行った事がありますが、寿司アカデミーは知りませんでした😮
グリフさんたくさん食べましたね〜😄
機会があったら行ってみたいです❤
All you can eat hina sushi at tokyo japan very fresh…. Very yummy not expensive. In hong kong sushi very expensive
Yes, Hina Sushi was really good sushi and we enjoyed that buffet as well. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Grif さんが とても 美味しそうに 召し上がるので 私も 鮨アカデミーさんに 行きたくなりました。
ありがとうございます ✌️
What is the average wait time for when you place an order?
P.S.
Favorite sushi is Saba nigiri (mackerel)

Thanks, love your videos. I've already bookmarked a lot of your reviews for my trip in February!
Thanks for sharing! I admire your fighting spirit (that was many a sushi)! My favorite sushi is the one I didn't have yet! Have a wimsical day!
That is great wisdom! Thanks so much for sharing and hope you enjoy my other sushi buffet videos.
Saba with Shiso, youre the best.....
Thank you! The mackerel was quite delicious!
Wow a lot of choices!! The ratio of rice to fish looks fantastic. Next year we’ll try it!

Thank you, I love negi toro also!
The quality looks INSANE! In my area, that meal would cost at least 200$+.
The quality of sushi in Japan is amazing. Where is your area you eat sushi?

Glad you enjoyed the video!
Would you be able to just order sashimi to avoid being filled up by the rice?
Sorry I don't think this restaurant serves sashimi. For a buffet, that would probably not be economical for the business.
I wish they had a branch in Osaka
That would be nice!

@@grifsfoodandtravel thanks you so much for your quick reply. Does one need a reservation to go there? Thanks again.
@sthorne9103 I would definetly make a reservation since they have limited seating. If not, go during the weekdays when they open.
Is it available for 1 person buffet? Or u need to go with friends
One person can go to this buffet. Have a wonderful time!
Wow that looks absolutely delicious. It’s around $30.00 for AYCE in Vegas

Reservations are not required, but I would highly recommend it. Limited seating and times.
Hai
Hello! Thank you for watching!
I like sushi but too much carbs, it’ll be perfect if they do AYCE sashimi.
That would be awesome, to have AYCE sashimi! If you find a place that offers that type of buffet, let me know! 😋
I can’t wait to take my woman here
Have a fun time and enjoy!
Very Nice
Is it 1 person only be accepted in 鮨 academy for lunch or dinner?
Yes, they accept 1 person for lunch or dinner. Hina Sushi is also another sushi buffet you can try. They also accept. 1 person for lunch or dinner.
