Thank you for such interesting footage! I've just come back from a short holiday (just 30km outside my city) so I've seen quite a lot of wildlife recently e.g.hares, roe deer, pheasants and ermine. Your clever hedgehogs are unbeatable, of course :-)
Sounds like a great little trip - you’ve got so much wildlife you can realistically see on a short trip. To see a stoat here you’d have to go on a really long holiday and be really lucky - I haven’t seen one in years. It is handy that the hedgehogs are the only visitor to know what to do with the pots. Means the cats aren’t attracted.
Your adorable hedgehogs!!! Ah, Paul I’ve loads of magpies. Are they nicking my cat biscuits before the hedgehogs show up…? 😱I’m still just getting the neighbours’ cats at the moment!! 🙄 Billy’s equipment!! 😝🫣
Those magpies are pretty quick - is your camera picking them up? If the cats are showing up for the biscuits - get yourself a terrine and saucer like mine - the cats that show up in my garden have never figured out how to get to the food - or maybe they’re too well fed at home?? Billy’s a great guy - if you know what I mean 😀
@@paultreviews yes I’m going to try your method, I’m just leaving it all out exposed (a bit like Billy😜) and something’s nicking it. I have lots of videos where nothing is on them and I don’t actually know what initially set the sensors off🤔
Ah yes, the ‘Billy’ method! 😆 I suggest you put the camera closer to the bait. Sometimes cameras don’t sense a really small animal. I know it might be too close to be sharp but you stand a better chance of something recording to see what it is. With the terrine, it’ll slow things up to give the camera more chance. I presume you have ‘sensitivity’ set to ‘high’ Good luck!
@@paultreviews well, I did have it set to high but then I found plants on windy days were setting it off. Now I’m on medium. I’m struggling to find a spot in my plant packed garden where there aren’t any flappy easily wind affected plants in the backdrop! 🙄 I have uploaded a cute video of a squirrel who likes to look into the camera a lot. He’s sweet, it’s a shame he’s not red! I used to have loads of red squirrels here until about 5-6 years ago! 😔
My goodness - I’ve just watched your squirrel video. The quality is fantastic and you are pretty artistic…I just love the composition and your setting. Squirrel bit of a poseur which is great. Yes. it can be annoying when the waving vegetation keeps setting the camera off. But your setting is so beautiful and with water so you must get some interesting animals arriving for a drink at some stage. Such a shame you don’t get the red squirrels anymore.
I have the same camera as you and was interested in the tripod you are using. I haven't been able to source it and wonder where you obtained yours from .Thanks. Stephen
It is a happy garden where thirsty wild animals can stay for a while. Your garden is full of love.
That’s very nice of you. I always enjoy watching the animals use my garden.
thanks for the sweet video of these cuties
Glad you enjoyed my nocturnal visitors 👍
Wonderful!! And such great footage! Thank you for sharing. Please keep us updated about these sweet little fellows!
Glad you enjoyed my little visitors. I’m just off out right now to put a little food out.

Hi Stephen, yes - it’s a great little tripod. I have an Amazon link to it in the description below this video.
@@paultreviews thanks Paul now ordered
Excellent - I really like these ‘bendy’ tripods.
