I really appreciate this video. You have summed up all the important technical details of this camera. The quality of the videos and photos is really impressive. Thank you so much.
Very comprehensive, excellent review, I’ve just received the one I purchased and I set it up very easily using your instructions, which is no mean feat for someone who is as phobic of anything tech as I am, very many thanks! 😊
Hi Paul loved you review I’m wondering if you could tell me which charging plug and lead you are using as I am unable to charge my battery fully thank you 🙏
Hi Jack, I use various power chargers - with some equipment it prefers a weaker charger. I presume you’ve got a lead with a USB-C end for the trail camera. There are two USB-C sockets - so make sure you plug it into the battery side of the camera which is the one with the rubber flap cover at the base; not the one on the side under the screen.

Really nice night time pictures. I have various CanPark cameras and am testing them at the moment and comparing them to Browning and Bushnell for a TH-cam piece. In the No Glow cameras there is little to choose picture wise either in daylight or nighttime. Unfortunately though they are all very soft pictures due top the no glow. When it comes to the normal IR they tend to have a burnt out area always, so maybe I should also try this camera especially as I tend to do fairly close shots to the animals.
Hi Dave, I think a hybrid Campark Browning could be good! Yes, I agree - the daytime and nighttime quality is now really good - I do spend time trying to position to minimise the annoying central and foreground hotspot. I am trying to develop a technique for close ups - alternating between IR ‘auto’ and ‘low’ to see which works best and soon I’m going to try close up lenses. I have also started experimenting with post processing by vignetting in reverse! It’s only partially successful. Unfortunately post processing ‘no glow’ 850nm has not been very satisfactory so far - pity… as I thought that might be a solution. I am rewatching your evocative Jack Hargreaves series I first watched so many years ago. Thank you for making and keeping them alive and accessible. I look forward to your YT trail camera episode.
@@paultreviews Hi Paul I would love to chat sometime about trail cameras as I feel they could and should be so much better than they are. I have tried to encourage CamPark to improve them but they are not very receptive. As for the hot spot I have wondered if putting some sort of filter would soften the light but so far have not got around to trying. If only Jacks Out of Town cameraman Stan was still alive I am sure we would have managed to improve them no end as in my early days at Southern TV I used to spend hours chatting to him about how he modified cameras to film some of the things jack wanted filmed.
@@DaveKnowlesFilmmaker Hi Dave, yes would like to have a chat. I have always wondered why they don’t get them more suited to our needs. I was going to make a list for Campark but sounds as though it is fruitless. I actually wonder how much they’re mostly badged up generic cameras. I do like the Campark features and options that the Brownings don’t have. Someone has lent me a Browning and it’s like a Russian tank - well actually better than a Russian tank now we know more about them lol. But the options and shooting length etc is pretty abysmal - admittedly it’s a couple of years old. I wish I had more action in the garden over daylight hours - alas June is long gone now - but virtually all my recording is at night so the IR problems are prevalent. I did get some badger cubs at a woodland sett in June and they started to appear just before the cameras switched to IR.
Hi Paul, Thanks for a great review. I decided to mail order a TC22 to my nephew for his birthday next month. I wanted to buy him a python cable for added security. You note in your review that the holes are a bit small. Can you advise on which diameter is best? Many thanks.
The non-Internet cameras that only use their own WiFi cannot alert the phone. For that function you need a cellular trail camera and probably a paid for SIM plan.
Thank you for mentioning the Naturespy Wildcam 2 - it's an interesting camera - it does indeed have it's own antenna and can connect to your router to send notifications.
Thank you - glad you found my video useful. There is a ‘Set Up’ slider towards the bottom right of the main panel. Left is for ‘Off’ Slider to the middle to change the settings. Then to activate the camera slide the slider to the right where it says ‘On’ It will then give a 5 second countdown. The camera is now activated and will start recording when it senses any movement. I hope that helps - let me know if you have any other questions.
With the TC22 (and also the TC07) the solar panel is angled down towards the front of the camera. That sounds great if you’re pointing the camera towards the south but not so good for other directions. Has anyone found this to be an issue ? I’m in the UK so I’m particularly interested in experiences there.
That’s a good question. On a tripod it would be better angled backwards but not when on a tree. I’m in the UK and find all these solar trail cameras work really well. I’ve had them in the woods for weeks and the solar panels have charged the battery well even though no direct sunshine has penetrated the trees. If you really want to have a camera with the solar panel facing the sun then maybe the TC21 would be an option.
When you say ‘cameras’ do you mean the two lenses? One lens takes the daytime pictures and videos and the other does the night-time pictures and videos. Unfortunately the camera cannot take pictures and videos simultaneously. None of the trail cameras can do that. If you have set the camera to take both photos and videos then it first takes the number of photos you have set and then it takes a video. All trail cameras do it this way.
Has anyone found their T22 difficult to trigger the camera? Mine doesn't activate via PIR at all (a person could sneak right up to it without activating), and only seems to trigger off loud sounds.
I presume it has been working and therefore it’s nothing to do with the SD card? It certainly sounds as though the sensors aren’t working. But first of all make sure you have a good amount of internal battery power - I’m sure you’ve already checked but worth starting with the battery. Then try it with photos only. Check in the settings that the ‘monitoring period’ is ‘off’ if it’s on, it only works at certain times of the day. I didn’t actually know that the camera can be triggered with sound. To reset the whole camera find the little hole labelled ‘R’ which is next to the USB socket. Push the end of a paper clip into the hole which activates a reset. I think this should be done while the camera is in ‘set up’ mode. If none of those work then you should contact the manufacturer they have a technical department who will be able to advise further. In the settings there is the ‘technical support’ email. Good luck - I hope you get it sorted or replaced.
@@paultreviews Thank you so much for the tips! I'm new to trail cam ownership and it' been a fun learning experience. After some testing, I think only motion from PIR can trigger recording, although mine remains stubbornly sleepy at times. Loud sound seem to increase the likelihood of triggering.

I actually take no notice of the trigger time - all the cameras are much slower than claimed. When I said ‘sensitive’ I meant that my T180 doesn’t miss much - a distant mouse for example.
Hi Paul. Just received this camera. I think the quality of the daytime shots is superb. However the camera does not seem to trigger at night (battery fully charged). I have it set to just video but I am trying to use the starlight night vision feature but am shooting at a target (food bowls) about 1 m away. Think I may be trying to run before I can walk so may try just B&W night video to start with. Have you tested the starlight night vision?
Hi Paul, I actually leave it on starlight and it does actually work. Because of the long days the hedgehog is arriving just on the limits of day/night and this camera records colour at twilight when my older cameras are already in B&W night mode. Shouldn’t make any difference if you set starlight or not - it should record full night video/photos when it gets fully dark. Test out nighttime to make sure your camera is working properly.
Got it sorted now. I think I used the setting "extra colour" at first so when I changed this to normal nighttime mode it worked fine - including the starlight shots as it got dark. I am impressed- It is a really good camera. Thanks to all for your help and suggestions.
thanks for the review I have seen some trail cams that have better sound, saw a new review of the newest TC06 have you reviewed that one yet, I heard the sound is superior in that one ? my solar trail camera disappeared so the no glow might be a good option depending on where I put a new trail cam once I buy it
Hi Joy, nice to hear from you but so sorry your trail camera disappeared - presumably stolen? I haven’t reviewed the TC06 as I prefer the cameras with solar panels, however I have heard very good things about the audio. I hadn’t realised it was a no glow camera. It has been out over a year now - or is there a new version? I personally prefer the ‘low glow’ cameras as the night quality is better but I can certainly understand you want a more ‘stealth’ camera now.
Does it take genuine 4K footage and not just upscaled 1080? I have a Campark T180 that purports to do 4K vid, but it's clearly just upscaled. Are you able to confirm?
That is THE question! I have asked the manufacturers and they say it is. I think it has a named Sony sensor. Can’t remember the name of it but it might be in the manual that can be found online. My view is that it could well be native 4K (well UHD to be pedantic 😀) Either way I’m pretty astonished at the daytime quality - and the night time is very good although maybe not 4K.
I ordered through your link for camper website, delivered in 2 days to uk but when I turn it on comes up as voopeak and setting menu very slightly different. is voopeak a supplier to campers.
Thank you for ordering through my link. I am not quite sure the connection but I’ve had contact from Voopeak with Campark’s company details so I think they are a part of CamPark. I’ve noticed some cameras have slightly varying menus. I hope your camera picks up some interesting footage for you.
My Campark TC22 ticks nearly all the boxes for me. Excellent video quality, day-time & night-time, but wouldn’t it be great if they could incorporate the sound quality of their Campark TC21 into their Campark TC22. And why not at the same time add their detached solar panel to boot! This is nearly the perfect camera for me. I’ve been using Bushnell NatureView HDCam cameras for many years, but I need 36 AA lithium batteries to fill all 3 of them! Roll on solar power, but a backup of 4 AA batteries, as in the Ceyomur CY95, (or is it the Campark T180/TC08?) would be a good idea.
Everything you have said I agree 100%. If only the manufacturers would incorporate all these great features into one single camera!!! The audio on the TC22 is really good and I’m pretty satisfied with it - but I expected it to have the audio of the TC21 I had reviewed earlier, which as you say, is absolutely outstanding. But I don’t like the nighttime quality of no glow cameras. Give us It all in one ‘low glow’ camera - 4 back up batteries a la T180 would ideal. I hate buying 8 batteries for one camera with no internal battery.😆 I am going to write to the manufacturers with our ‘wants’ list. Just to add - the microphone on the TC22 is at the base like most trail cameras - the microphone on the TC21 is at the front. That could be why it’s so good - it’s pointing at the action.
I just bought one, tried to charge with their cable but the read light did not come on, and cable was so short it kept falling out. So had to go to store and Buy Type C CABLE..My problem is as soon as i turn my camera on, 5 4 3 2 1 it goes off..what can i do to stop this? I formatted my SD card. I am excited to start to use this camera do you have idea how to stop my camera from turning off, i even tried hooking it up with the cable..
Sorry you’re having a problem. Are using the correct socket? There are two USB-C sockets - one at the base of each ‘half’ of the camera. The one under the screen and buttons is for connecting to a computer and the other at the base of the other ‘door’ is for charging. There is a cover over the charging socket. If you are using that socket and it doesn’t work - make sure you’re not using a too high power plug. Hope that helps.
I have just re-read your first message. You say “after the 5,4,3,2,1 the camera goes off” That is the camera now primed to wait for movement and record videos or photos. Can you set it up - prime it with the 5,4,3,2,1 and leave it a few minutes. Then walk in front of it. Leave it a few minutes and wave your hand in front of it. Then turn it off. Then turn it to ‘set-up’ and to replay the videos and pictures. Are there any videos or pictures? (depending on which you’ve selected).
@paultreviews I turn it on to set wifi and my settings but am unable to do this as it keeps turning off..and does not come back on for me to say videos only...when you open your camera to set time and date and things what I turn the switch to on and immediately it goes off. , should I nit turn it on? When I open camera to set it up what is the first button I touch, the on bottom turns on for I second then counts to 5 and the camera is off so I cannot set my camera..how can I make the camera stay on so I can get it set up?
OK, I think I see what you mean. Have a close look at the on/off button. It is a slider with three ‘modes’ ‘Off’ at one end and ‘On’ at the other end. Between these two there is the ‘settings’. So carefully slide from ‘off’ to the middle. (Not as far as ‘on’) It will then prompt you to set the language etc. So remember the ‘on’ is only for when you have the camera where you want it and you want to prime it for recording. Good luck - let me know what happens.
Ich bin auch ein stolzer Besitzer dieser Kamera.... Sehr schöne Beiträge ! Es gibt 1 Jahr Garantie Verlängerung nach Registrierung........aber wie funktioniert das Hardy ? Gruß Roland
congratulations on getting that camera. i am not 100% sure but I think the 1 year extension is automatic once you have registered it. Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb dieser Kamera. Ich bin mir nicht 100 % sicher, aber ich glaube, die Verlängerung um ein Jahr erfolgt automatisch, sobald Sie es registriert haben.
When it’s outside that little red light on the inside should be lit to show it’s charging with the solar panel. There are two USB ports - one for transferring pictures and the other to charge the device.
@@paultreviewsthe small red light should be on when charging inside, or outside. Mine was charging and was ok for a bit, but has now stopped. Fairly good camera quality, but the product as a whole is very tacky. Needs a proper manufacturer like Samsung to get involved.

Hi Paul, interesting review on this camera! I had a few questions. I plan on mounting this camera about 15 feet up on the tree on the left part of this video (th-cam.com/video/Wyh4-Ox_6Bc/w-d-xo.html). Would I be okay to leave the camera on color at night since there probably is ample street lighting? Our neighborhood has been frequented by people on bikes & skateboards usually between 1:00am-3:00am. I would like to do a time range setting of 12:00am-5:00am. Hopefully, I will be able to get some facial recognition with either the photos or videos that this camera takes. Looking forward to your response. Thanks in advance!
You’d be ok setting it to colour at night. There might be enough ambient light for colour or it might be in black & white. You can set it to monitor between the hours you wish but it will still be motion activated and not continuous shooting. As you’ll be able to recharge the battery regularly I’d set the recording time to at least 2 mins or so - maybe more. I would set the camera to video only. 2K One thing to be aware of is there will be a red glow on the TC22 when activated that can be seen. If they’re wearing hoodies and the camera is pointing down (from 15feet) face recognition might not be easy. Would be worth a try though. Good luck
Thank you so much for your reply & advice. I’m hoping to get clearer still photos & video of perpetrators like this person who has been frequenting our neighborhood for the last 3 years! th-cam.com/video/RYymdxAyVMM/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared I may try & mount it close to the ground & conceal it somehow. BTW, is there an option to turn OFF the IR illuminators? And is it possible to cover up the big rectangular screen above the 2 cameras in front? Is this the PIR sensor?
Sorry for the late reply - I wasn't notified for some reason. Oh my goodness!!! I see why you need to get this sorted out. I would shoot only video - not photos. The chance of a photo being taken at the best moment is slim - you can always do a still grab from a video. Yes, those are the PIRs. I suppose you could cover them, but it's a twin lens camera. If the camera decides it's light enough then it will use the day camera and the PIRs won't be illuminated. If it senses it's too dark for the daylight then the night-time lens will be activated and the PIRs will come on. You could cover the PIRs but I don't know what would happen then. I wonder if a 'no glow' camera would suit you better (such as the TC21) there are no visible PIRs on the no glow cameras. The night time quality isn't quite so good but I think well good enough for your purposes. The TC21 is much more of a 'stealth' camera. This is the review I did on the TC21 th-cam.com/video/e1btI6vu3S8/w-d-xo.html

That is THE question! I have asked the manufacturers and they say it is. I think it has a named Sony sensor. Can’t remember the name of it but it might be in the manual that can be found online. My view is that it could well be native 4K (well UHD to be pedantic 😀)
Either way I’m pretty astonished at the daytime quality - and the night time is very good although maybe not 4K.
That was very thorough. It looks a great camera. The night vision especially looks good. Thank you
Thank you - these no glow cameras certainly do well at night.
thankyou for the review..very much appreciated
You’re welcome - thank you for letting me know.
How do you think this will hold up in U.K. weather and very little day light in winter months. How long is the delivery ?
I've replied to your other comment on the 'badger' video.
I hate buying 8 batteries for one camera with no internal battery.😆
I am going to write to the manufacturers with our ‘wants’ list.
@paultreviews the shirt cable I was giver with the camera did not fit..it kept falling out and it was not charging my camera.
I have just re-read your first message.
You say “after the 5,4,3,2,1 the camera goes off”
That is the camera now primed to wait for movement and record videos or photos.
It is a slider with three ‘modes’
‘Off’ at one end and ‘On’ at the other end.
Between these two there is the ‘settings’.
So carefully slide from ‘off’ to the middle. (Not as far as ‘on’)
It will then prompt you to set the language etc.
So remember the ‘on’ is only for when you have the camera where you want it and you want to prime it for recording.
Good luck - let me know what happens.
It's a beautiful garden. Birds drink water and rest .I think even the birds will appreciate your consideration.
Thank you. I do like to make my garden wildlife friendly. I hope you’ve had some interesting travels recently.
I thought that was a VooPeak camera? I got one and it’s not bad! Nice review👍
Thanks!
Yeah, really good night quality and the daytime is outstanding.
Campark = Voopeak, 2 brands but same company !
congratulations on getting that camera.
i am not 100% sure but I think the 1 year extension is automatic once you have registered it.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb dieser Kamera.
Ich bin mir nicht 100 % sicher, aber ich glaube, die Verlängerung um ein Jahr erfolgt automatisch, sobald Sie es registriert haben.
Great review.
Thank you!
Anyone had any issues with charging?
When it’s outside that little red light on the inside should be lit to show it’s charging with the solar panel.
There are two USB ports - one for transferring pictures and the other to charge the device.
@@paultreviewsthe small red light should be on when charging inside, or outside. Mine was charging and was ok for a bit, but has now stopped. Fairly good camera quality, but the product as a whole is very tacky. Needs a proper manufacturer like Samsung to get involved.
Sorry to hear the charging light isn’t coming on and presumably then the solar charging isn’t working? I’d contact them about it.
You cable is a lot longer then mine.mine is about 2 feet.
Very nice vedeo uncle
Thank you very much.

Merhaba Ulki, bahçeyi satın aldığımda güzeldi ama yıllar içinde onunla çok şey yaptım.
Gölet yaklaşık 1 metre derinliğinde olduğundan asla dibe kadar donmaz.

One thing to be aware of is there will be a red glow on the TC22 when activated that can be seen. If they’re wearing hoodies and the camera is pointing down (from 15feet) face recognition might not be easy.
Would be worth a try though.
Good luck
Thank you so much for your reply & advice. I’m hoping to get clearer still photos & video of perpetrators like this person who has been frequenting our neighborhood for the last 3 years! th-cam.com/video/RYymdxAyVMM/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
I may try & mount it close to the ground & conceal it somehow.
I had purchased one and have had it for well over a month, As far as I'm concerned its a piece of crap just like the cheaper ones. I have done everything by the book, and the piece of shit still doesn't work worth a damn. My advive is go ahead and purchase a serious security camera system. Theses things suck
Sorry to hear the camera hasn’t performed as you required. Trail cameras are fantastic when used as trail cameras but terrible as security cameras.
They do not deliver to Sri Lanka 😤
I am sorry to hear that. Are you able to buy trail cameras from other manufacturers?
I would recommend the Ceyomur CY95.
It’s one of my favourites. I think they sell it on Amazon.
I reviewed it in my other channel.
th-cam.com/video/11CJOerfwcE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jd8l9ABrMtqA3n62
@@paultreviews most of the brands are limited to US and Europe. few brands are available in Amazon with high shipping charges.
Sorry you’re having difficulty buying one.
Probably will go dead in deep
Winter
I think all batteries go dead if left alone in deep Winter unless you have a solar panel
Never mind. It’s lithium. It’ll be fine
