You need to use the emergency release to disengage the motor if you want to manually move the doors up and down. They should move easily if the springs are properly adjusted.
It doesnt appear there is a user facing option to stop the beeping but I'm sure I could find the beeper/buzzer inside and unplug/remove it if really desired. I chose Genie since it has a direct integration option with my smart home and it's also more compact.
Indeed I have! They are tempting but I havent been able to justify the extra cost/complexity for my needs. For my use it's really more long term storage vs weekly/monthly access so $150 stationary racks makes more sense.
These are JUNK! app is slow/laggy or just randomly disconnected, 1 year later the plastic clutch thing broke inside (look at home Depot 1 star reviews), genie will not sell you a replacement! Rendering this useless... RUN! Right to repair needed so bad!!

Yes, my point was that without pulling the emergency release the door is really too heavy for someone to lift.
Nate, the locks are important and provide more security against manually lifting the doors, you should really install them
Not only security. The locks help with winds. Preferably 2 locks per door, one on each door track.
Nice video. 2 ?s: is there a way to disable the loud beeping when opening/closing with the app? 2. Any major reason you chose aladdin over liftmaster?

Great. Now what do I do with my $250 garage door canceling headphones?
They should still work in other environments.
Have you considered a motorized ceiling lift or attic cargo elevator?

Hey Nate, what do you think of T-Mobile cracking down on TMHI locations?
Hey Taite, here's my thoughts: th-cam.com/video/luAEbPNf3qM/w-d-xo.html
why didn't you install both doors as high lift? is there a negative to the high lift configuration?
I am adding overhead storage above the double door. High lift would prevent that.
Corner cutter's get unsubscribed.
Not sure I follow.
@@NaterTater I don't follow what they mean either...🤷♂
