It's good see someone's who use parkour to something useful, in their life belle will never die on the heart of practioners around the world, he deserve our most honestly respect.
wow David Belle has to be the one of the greatest revolutionaires i know especially in parkour i know that when im doing parkour in my own time it is because of him creating it
Yes, they were friends as kids. David Belle's father taught the movements to both of them and David Belle went on to found parkour, while Sebastian Foucan went on to found free running.
Yes, parkour has always existed. It is the same thing with Bruce Lee's Jeet Kun Do. Bruce Lee isn't the founder of Jeet Kun Do because people used to fight in the stoneage.
Same thing with any kind of martial art,sport... I practice wing chun and besides wing chun I am interested in Parkour and am practicing And both of them are really cool ways of art.
parkour is simple in concept, difficult in practice. Details mean everything. You need to start small and let your reflexes develop for the exercises you'll perform. It is easy in a few ways, but if you want to do it right; with speed and efficiency then you must practice one exercise for days, weeks, and months at a time and make sure you never stop practicing it in the future. You can never truly know parkour, it's infinite.
Parkour isn't an idea, or merely the act of moving. It is a training method and a very particular philosophy. Exactly like Bruce Lee's Jeet Kun Do. That was my point
Basically, no one "invented" parkour. It started with David Belle's father, who then went on to teach both David and Sebastian, the way to work it. David then went on to develop the "parkour" side, with efficiency placed at top priority, while Foucan developped the "freerunning" aspect of it, which places creativity first. But in the end, both of these ar actually pretty similar, and both of these are pretty damn far from what Redbull advertises as parkour/free running
I was in high school the first time i watch distric 13 he was so amazing and then i searched knowing amazing he is creator of parkour. The sport i love this is art. now i watch storror team on their channel after watching Sir david belle
I never would have thought I'd find a Nova fan on a Parkour video. And, I think he needs to have more facial hair. Also idk but Nova's eyes are unique. It's like a child's eyes on a 21 year old's face.
@thebradblais I suppose. Everyone has limits. I have a BMX background so I knew how to fall hard/properly and minimize the damage without getting hurt. Same thing applies to any extreme "sport"
@Lushimi1 Hah, good call. In regards to the video, this man is so wise and so humble about his skill, he knows exactly what he speaks down to the millimetre, he's dedicated his life to the 'precision', as he puts it.
No really, I thought that video games completely represented real life and that we also won several wars against multiple advanced alien races in the past 15 years.
Indeed. Had to laugh at the end. I really have to say, that was deserved. Very unexpected twist but nicely done. Better than David Belle finishing his monologue with "but it's really tiresome" and the whole thing turning into a Segway commercial. :D
Wait a minute was this actually a commercial? OMG he created parkour and this is how u treat him i mean he should get so much more like attention in some way u know what is mean cause like dont put it in a commercial *CMON*
parkour is made more epic than it actually is from video editing and everything. don't get me wrong, parkour is freakin epic as it is, just :\ this is over epic-ing it....
@Darkbyke It's not as easy as it seems. Trust me, I said the same thing and then I started doing parkour. You have to work you're way up and even then there are certain things you are afraid of doing.
Maybe to you, but you're the one who couldn't figure out why I was mentioning a video game character in the first place, so your opinion hardly matters to me.
Hm, i don't know... could it be that the guy I was replying to in the first place brought it up first? The entire video game character part of this conversation stems from him stating altair is a better candidate for "god of parkour," to which I replied that Ezio, his ancestor, was able to do more and is more deserving of the title than altair.
Love how David explained everything well about Parkour, then it just cuts to a razor commercial.
The fact that this was a commercial for a razor, of all things, made me chuckle.
lol
It's good see someone's who use parkour to something useful, in their life
belle will never die on the heart of practioners around the world, he deserve our most honestly respect.
I won't buy this stuff , but David's words
Hes still got it fraking crazy. He always adds a certain beauty to the art.
wow David Belle has to be the one of the greatest revolutionaires i know especially in parkour i know that when im doing parkour in my own time it is because of him creating it
Always make my soul smile seeing David move in his environment.
All that for a freaking Commercial
I remember watching these videos of him when I was young, he was such an inspiration lol
running up the stairs best parkour I ever seen.
When razor showed up im like wtf?
37 years old and he still can do those massive drops. HOW????
Not a day goes by when I don't practice for at the very LEAST an hour. I only started parkour recently, though it is really REALLY addictive :)
David, thank you for parkour.
Yes, they were friends as kids. David Belle's father taught the movements to both of them and David Belle went on to found parkour, while Sebastian Foucan went on to found free running.
O cara que criou o esporte que faz minha vida ter sentido
C'est un plaisir de voir David Belle en formation
(MADD)
Raymond was a firefighter , and he beleived theres not a way that someone can't be saved , so he invented parkour to get people out of fire.
soo happy to see and hear david belle hehe :D
Yes, parkour has always existed.
It is the same thing with Bruce Lee's Jeet Kun Do.
Bruce Lee isn't the founder of Jeet Kun Do because people used to fight in the stoneage.
why was there an ad for a razor at the end of this was this just one big commercial for the precision of the parkour and the razor blade
Same thing with any kind of martial art,sport...
I practice wing chun
and besides wing chun I am interested in Parkour and am practicing
And both of them are really cool ways of art.
il est troop fort david belle

Good one ! I met a guy that got work in a Bollywood movie doing Parkour , So dangerous, Fun and lucrative. :)
perfect description of parkour !
Basically, no one "invented" parkour. It started with David Belle's father, who then went on to teach both David and Sebastian, the way to work it. Interesting ! Except for the commercial end part
Moving from point A and to point B have always existed, yes.
Parkour, which by definition is a training method, have not always existed.
I was in high school the first time i watch distric 13 he was so amazing and then i searched knowing amazing he is creator of parkour. The sport i love this is art. now i watch storror team on their channel after watching Sir david belle

I think david belle is amazing innovator and creator,he is a good french man......
The creator of parkour himself
David Belle the God of Parkour !
Cada palabra que habla este hombre es como una enseñanza filosófica...
well played Remington well played
i've never seen any scientific explanation about parkour. I wish I could tell people how it feels to be a part of parkour world.
Glad to see you are still moving dad ;)
Our inspiration, be fluid, be strong, be Belle
@thebradblais I suppose. Everyone has limits. I have a BMX background so I knew how to fall hard/properly and minimize the damage without getting hurt. Same thing applies to any extreme "sport"
Never said anything was wrong with him. Just pointed out that Ezio could do more than Altair, making him a better candidate for "god of parkour."
Vraiment rien à dire, parfait.
Quelqu'un saurait où je peux trouver le son un peu "sourd" des 20 premières secondes svp ? Thanks
The years are fading... I still remember the early days and we are moving away. Feels bad if you know what i mean.
احب هذا الممثل من صغري شكراً فرنسا لأنها أنجبت ديفد بيل تحياتي لكم #الجارح

Oh Kay... That's nice...
Indeed. Had to laugh at the end. I really have to say, that was deserved. Very unexpected twist but nicely done. Better than David Belle finishing his monologue with "but it's really tiresome" and the whole thing turning into a Segway commercial. :D

That is the greatest insult ever :')
That guy at the beginning of Casino Royale is good at this.
is this just an ad for a trimmer? i guess it does parkour through the obstacles of hair on your face
And there we have the french inventing the sport of running away!
u should have listened to us in 2003
Ezio and Altair are free-runners, they don't do Parkour. BlacksVideos hit the nail on the head there.
Belle doesn't think he's a traceur, he feels it. :)
I wish more commercials was like this.
Wait... That was an ad for an electric shaver?
the legend lives 4ever
I LIKE DAVID BELLE VERRY MUCH.
@nggedaBRUCE Dude this legend was born long time ago... :D

Starfire Lafayette Yea what is it?
He's from a game, David Belle is real. You should get out of your room more and see the real world kid.
they should make another mirrors edge except you get to play as this guy
SPORT Parlour AMAZING I LIKE This Sport
If I tried anything like this I would unintentionally end up planking, permanently.
Meilleure Vidéo David
you're welcome for the views --Vsauce community (Do we have a name? Im sure some are nerdfighters, but should we be Saucy something?)
@GTBenergy yeah, he invented Parkour.
No it hasn't , Raymond Belle , -David belles father , made parkour. Thats how parkour started.
David Belle looks like Ezio in Assassin's Creed Revelations :D
Hm, i don't know... could it be that the guy I was replying to in the first place brought it up first? LOL, LMAO when i saw that it was an advert for a razor. XD
