There is a Christmas album, for which she only wrote a couple songs and the rest were standard Christmas songs. Besides that, she has written all songs on all her albums, many of them without any co-writers. Her album Speak Now is entirely self-written with no co-writers, and she wrote it all from the ages of 18-20.
Thank you correcting, she has WRITTEN ALL OF HER MUSIC. And music she’s written that she wasn’t going to use she’s given to other artists. One huge song being Babe which was given to Sugarland and she later recorded for Red TV.
She has also written and directed a lot of her music videos and her 'All Too Well' short film, that she even won a Grammy for!

😂 Right?! The very first one I saw was Anthony Aiken Jr. about two years ago when he decided to listen to folklore for the first time. I saw a suggested video underneath for his friend and fellow TH-camr, Fabrizio Salerno. He was a Kanye West fan and admitted he never listened to her music because of that, but he wanted to go out of his comfort zone and at least give her music a try finally. He ended up becoming a full on Swiftie and even went to her Eras tour with Anthony Aiken Jr. It was awesome seeing two rap and Kanye West fans go from avoiding her music because of their “feud” to becoming huge fans of hers. They wear her merch and everything. If you haven’t watched either one’s videos, I suggest you do. You’ll love seeing their journey, but especially Fabrizio. He is now Taylor obsessed, lol.

Correction she writes EVERY song in her discography😊. She’s had co-writers and collaborators but she is completely involved in the making of her music. She always gives credit to co-writers even if all they’ve contributed, is one word, or one line. Aside from writing all her own music, she comes up with her own melodies, she’s produced some of her music and even directs her own music videos now. She plays guitar, piano, banjo, and the ukulele. Plus she has written songs for other artists and film. She is an amazing singer, songwriter, storyteller, performer, human. Taylor just re-released her Speak Now Taylor’s Version album which was originally released in 2010. Speak Now is a self written album, she was between the ages of 18-20 when she wrote it. Taylor can literally pull off and succeed in any music genre and has. ❤ her 😊

Hell, I'm 73 years old and grew up listening to country, and then Motown, and then to rock and all of the variations of music since the 1950s. I've seen some great concerts by some great performers, but after listening to Taylor Swift's music starting with Folklore during the Pandemic and all of her stuff since then, I'm finding it hard to find anyone better at songwriting and performing. She is just flat-out excellent in all aspects!

the last time i saw a kayne west fan react to taylor, they ended up a swiftie and went to the eras tour. i love to see more and more people branching out and listening to other artists. i am so glad i gave her a chance. i used to be one of those people that judged her. i remember hearing "Teardrops On My Guitar" on the radio in 2006. she was so popular throughout the years that i wanted to stand clear of her. at a young age, i avoided popular/trendy things. biggest regret. 2021 - i listened to entire discography and now she is my #1 artist. people are really missing out on at least giving her a chance. one thing to know about her is that her radio singles are usually lower down on the album rankings. there are so many great songs that don't end up as singles. a lot of people don't realize she's done like 5 genres. even my husband who likes some of her songs and doesn't listen to her much, says his experience at the concert was amazing and she's truly talented. i actually remembering my jaw dropping when I listened to Ready For It...? cause i didn't expect the rapping.

PLEASE DO “I DID SOMETHING BAD” from Rep Tour next. It’s good to give you a good Rep origin before proceeding. There are so many different Taylor’s that you will meet, it will blow your mind. And that’s just the superficial part, wait until you dive into her lyricism. And then you get to discover how she threads together songs from completely different albums and times of her life. There are so many levels to explore, and the music is fire, across 3 genres, all written or co-written by her. Genuine, authentic. So rare. And her songs manage to be incredibly relatable at the same time, she knows and expresses a woman’s heart and soul to perfection, but it also could easily be applied to men’s experiences and feelings as well. You’re going to love this.

She writes ALL of her own music. There isn't a single song of hers where she isn't credited as the main writer, and most of the time she only uses like one or two co-writers. She even wrote the entirety of her album "Speak Now" alone at the age of 19 in response to critics who claimed she didn't write her own music. Her songwriting ability has always been her biggest draw, not to mention her ability to stay relevant for almost 20 years. She is truly the greatest living artist in my opinion. Here’s some facts that I love telling to hip hop/rap fans about Taylor:
1. Taylor is a HUGE fan of Kendrick Lamar (and Kanye West before… you know)
2. Like a rapper, Taylor writes basically all her songs, she’s very protective of them, it’s like her diary which explains why she feels the need to record her older albums now that they were sold to someone else. She’s like a rapper in that way, everything she writes is deeply personal and tied to her life
3. She’s actually collaborated with lots of rappers (Kendrick, Future, and now Ice Spice). She’s very selective usually about who she works with. Usually she’ll collaborate with other song writer/singers like herself to actually write a song together. Like, for example, Ed Sheeran, Lana del Rey, Hayley Williams, phoebe bridgers, bon iver, and, of course, rappers who are a group known for writing their own stuff, all can collaborate with her on her level of creation.
Taylor is an inter-genre artist, she has her hands in country, pop, hip-hop, indie/alternative and has been highly praised for each time she’s seamlessly transitioned into a new genre (her three albums she received album of the year for are each country, pop, and indie respectively). She has many different sounds but what stays the same through all 10 of her albums is her storytelling and lyrical ability. I highly recommend anyone who likes lyric heavy music like rap to check out Taylor, they really aren’t all that different, she might surprise you 🤷♀️

She jumped into the guitar at 12 to begin writing her own songs and also uses her top notch piano skills to create songs. Every place she goes those two instruments are easily within reach. She writes both the lyrics AND the music. She creates her own sheet music, so she has a lot of musical training with notes, keys, etc.
