Maybe the Big Casinos should lower their table minimums, So you can play Black Jack for more than 5 minutes before you lose ALL your money. The tables on a Friday or Saturday are empty, No one bothers. The Casinos are going to take MY money, Why not let me have a little fun before you clean me out?
Agree, it’s ridiculous. If they want empty tables and lower revenue I guess they’re achieving their goal so congratulations to them. I like to stay at Wynn but good luck finding a table that is less than $50 per hand. And yes, they’re often empty. And when I do find a $25 table, they usually raise it to $50 shortly after I sit down. (Ofc they still let me play $25). I think that’s another weird little trick they have so the place doesn’t look completely dead. I often leave and go to Green Valley Ranch. I can tell you 100%that big casino ain't going to lower it down the bet because y would they want people playing $5$10 etc.. playing in their property and scaring all the big money players away. 😅
Think about this those small limit people they only money 💰 maybe going vegas one every year but those high limits players they got money so they can go anytime whenever they want. As you can see compare with high end casinos and lower end casinos. Lower end casinos rooms are dirty full with lower end people so they have$5 $10 there but in higher end casinos you will only see people with higher end with money 💰, clean room and people are more educated not like lowrrend casinos mostly drugs .

$12 ATM fees is a deal! ATM fees at the strip clubs are like $60 That's why you take the hike out of the casino to CVS/Rite Aid/Walgreens and use their much cheaper ATMs.

Happy New Year, Jacob!! and to everyone else!! I am in total agreement with ALL of these similar thoughts on prices for Vegas. I also went every year for decades in the summer, until CoVid!! I couldn't wait to return in 2022 as CoVid suddenly was gone nearly as fast as it arrived. Shocked by the increases, 2022 vs 2019!! Summer of 2023? Nope, from Grand Canyon to Vegas is about 275 miles, I bypassed it, went to some different Colorado destinations. Food and Hotels there not cheap, but half of Vegas prices!! No parking fees, no "Resort Fees" , no gambling losses!! 2024 for me, same, I stayed 6 nights in Grand Canyon, then Colorado, for 4 more days, which feels like some a discount vs Vegas. Maybe I never return?
The lawsuit against the Wheel of Fortune machine is going to go nowhere as it is clearly stated in the rules, like all slot machines, that the wheel, free games or picking bonuses are not up to complete randomness. What you are going to win was determined when you hit the spin button.
I was in Vegas for F1 week and I am not planning to go back. I stayed at the Vdara and food and everything was super expensive. What I spent en Vegas I could’ve gone to Europe. Not worth it.
I don't get why they build all these new modern architecture buildings on the strip. Themed hotels like Bellagio, New York, Paria and The Venetian make Las Vegas unique!
I don't mind the resort fees, even with them I can usually get a hotel cheaper in Vegas than in most places. What I dislike is that they aren't included in the advertised price.
Great video! I feel like the resorts are pricing themselves out of repeat business. The more I see the cash grab for Fee's I find myself not able to support this. We would visit 3 times a year then 2 times, now I'm not even willing to go. Crazy high airfares, outrageous food prices and now the Fee's are just to high to justify even 1 visit for the year. There are places in Asia you can fly to and are just as nice and it would still be cheaper than Vegas. Sad!
Sure, hotels can still charge resort fees. But they now have to be included in any advertised price. For a hypothetical example, take a room at MGM Grand. Instead of being able to say "Rooms from $79", they now have to include the resort fee in the price of that advertisement and say "Rooms from $129".
Vegas used to be a once a year trip for our family. Now, with the rising prices and no service at the games, I'm no longer visiting. It's cheaper to visit the US and British Virgin Islands for a week than it is for a 4 day Vegas trip.
COMP room should not have resort fees charged, end of story. Charge that off to the casino like they do the room rate. Players get COMP rooms because clearly they are gambling. Make all those things "you get" in the RF optional and I can decide if I want to pay for them on not. When was the last time you used the phone to call? Printed a boarding pass, etc?
If I did not get my rooms comped I would not even go. those resort fees are outrageous. they just need to increase the price of the rooms instead of pissing everybody off.
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, JACOB, went every other weekend when stationed in Cali. 96. when buffets were $1.99 lol. been there 3x since, KEEP ROCKIN. Darrin, North Dakota MARINE VETERAN 94-98
For years I have been going to local casinos and they started to keep the deposit for the room up to three weeks i even let them know that and they didn't do anything about it maybe time to boycott them!!
That's kinda the idea. Do you want them to just give the rooms away for free? Because they do that too for big time gamblers. The only thing you're never going to get from a Vegas resort is charity.
In my opinion that's the whole point. Have one price that covers everything and be up front about it. We're not asking for a reduction in rate but to have all matters of rate consolidated into a single price. So we can comparison shop without spending an eternity researching prices that should have been disclosed upfront.
This resort fee thing is ridiculous. I don't mind paying whatever needs to be paid for accommodation. Just stop playing this silly game of internet hide and seek/bait and switch with me. They should be booted off Google Maps and other sites if they corrupt the search results with bogus price listings. Or maybe just put a little derogatory icon next to their business on the map to let everyone know they're shady as F*ck and will lie to you and overcharge you.
Question: they are building an NBA arena in the proposed space next to the Fountainbleau as stated in your video. they are also building an NBA arena next to the RIO. So, is Vegas getting 2 NBA teams? One would be an explansion. By definitioin the other I guess must be relocation? If so, what team?

@@geggs1 pathetic! At this rate, we won't be able to travel to USA. Won't be with it?!?
@@TravelingwithValeman77 I have to stay within Canada now. It’s double if not triple for flight and hotels in the US. Then spending money on top. $5000-$6000 in the hole for a week or less vacation. Madness.

Hmmm, they keep raising prices and revenue goes down... I wonder how many times they will do that before they get the message - prices are too high?
Thanks for sharing, your content is always on point.

Great video. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you! Merry Christmas!
I remember most people around me would go to Las Vegas, now hardly anyone. We have casinos a half hour away. No need to spend thousands to fly out to vegas.
Lol nobody cares about other casinos… Vegas is Vegas. Be real with yourself
@thegreat9481 vegas is vegas. 🤣 Do you mean overpriced and high crime?
@@Horseracingtip lol name me any place in the world like Vegas and come back and tell me if anyone gives a damn about you and your friends not visiting.
@thegreat9481 🤣 nobody cares about vegas anymore except corporate sports losers. High crime, hotel fees, parking fees, forgetaboutit.

Two years ago my Girlfriend went to see the Chippingdales , Two years ago my Best mates girlfriend also went to see the Chippingdales , Two years ago we both told the Girls not to go , They didn’t listen, Me and my Best Friend have two new Girls now … And they are still single well we did warn them, 😂😂😂😂😂
I use to go to Vegas for vacation every year. 2024 I did not even go. I was over the price increase.
Always a great video. Thanks Jacob

ATM fee of 11.99 is insanity. I haven’t been to Vegas in 11 years and don’t have any desire to return.

Hey Jacob! Would be cool to see a vid on failed vegas projects
The lawsuit against the Wheel of Fortune machine is going to go nowhere as it is clearly stated in the rules, like all slot machines, that the wheel, free games or picking bonuses are not up to complete randomness. What you are going to win was determined when you hit the spin button.
That $12 ATM fee reminds me of a certain Mermaid Man quote.
Another RIP OFF FEE.
video is good to remind us where NOT to go and spend.
Exactly 👍 they’ve lost touch completely …

if stopped so many high fees maybe strip revenue would increase when people come back to strip. those fees keeping people from spending money.
Sad!
Good video Jacob
Sure, hotels can still charge resort fees. But they now have to be included in any advertised price.
For a hypothetical example, take a room at MGM Grand. Instead of being able to say "Rooms from $79", they now have to include the resort fee in the price of that advertisement and say "Rooms from $129".
Hotels & dining are too expensive, not going in 2025.
Sucks about Whiskey Pete's.
Is there anything I missed?
Keep em coming Jacob, your time is much appreciated. Happy holidays and feb. 16 is coming quick for me...

For years I have been going to local casinos and they started to keep the deposit for the room up to three weeks i even let them know that and they didn't do anything about it maybe time to boycott them!!
If the Government makes them get rid of resort fees they Casino Hotel's will just raise the room prices.
Yep
That's kinda the idea. Do you want them to just give the rooms away for free? Because they do that too for big time gamblers. The only thing you're never going to get from a Vegas resort is charity.
In my opinion that's the whole point. Have one price that covers everything and be up front about it. We're not asking for a reduction in rate but to have all matters of rate consolidated into a single price. So we can comparison shop without spending an eternity researching prices that should have been disclosed upfront.
The King David hotel has provisional approval from city council, but still needs a lot of other approvals before it starts?
are people going to protest out front?
utterly ridiculous and segregating option for a hotel in vegas . i hope it gets axed
Does it close on Saturdays?
This resort fee thing is ridiculous. I don't mind paying whatever needs to be paid for accommodation. Just stop playing this silly game of internet hide and seek/bait and switch with me. They should be booted off Google Maps and other sites if they corrupt the search results with bogus price listings. Or maybe just put a little derogatory icon next to their business on the map to let everyone know they're shady as F*ck and will lie to you and overcharge you.
I can't wait to see the numbers from F1
Just face it there are a lot of rich people in the world and Vegas is made for them.
Greedy gawd damm corporations!!!
