My house cat Thelma died recently by a blood clot. She became 19,5 years old.😢

My girl Lucy will be 14 years next month. She's an indoor cat but she goes out with my supervision. I give her wet food and dry food. I give her water that is boiled at least 3 times. She's my best buddy and it seems that she's been with me for all my life and it's hard to imagine life with out her. She's a beauty. She loves sitting on the living room window and people who pass by take photos of her. Small kids with their parents stop to take a look and wave. Cats are awesome. Dogs are too. But cats more so 😁😁😁😁😁😻😻😂🤣

@Janbahavalli Pillai It probably depends. My cats are indoor cats, and I only take them out on a leash very briefly. Where I live, letting cats outside unsupervised isn't allowed, as they may get hit by a car or get attacked by a fox. It might be difficult to keep some cats in sight if they aren't on a leash when outside, but I guess there are exceptions. It really depends on the individual cat, and whether they're in a relatively safe area, for instance in a closed off backyard. Even then, the owner needs to keep a close eye on them, as many cats are known to be quick and able to jump much higher than their own height. Personally, I recommend using a leash for the safety of your pet. Please don't take this seriously, though, I'm not an expert or certified in any way. If you wish for advice on cat care, please contact a veterinarian or other certified specialist on animal health.
My cat will be 13 in March . She is never even wanted to go outside 😀. She thinks going outside is a trip to the vet so she doesn’t even want to go out even if the door is open. She eats a combo of wet and dry food and takes arthritis meds. What does boiling the water do though? I’m curious

My beloved Pixi Sioux is probably a European short hair/ British short hair mix and was found in a really bad condition when she was approximately 6 months young. When I took her in she was 6,5 years old and once again in a pretty bad condition due to her former owners. It took several years to balance her diet to her physical needs, especially taking away the horrible dry food, which I wouldn't recommend feeding at all. Healthwise she's in really good shape now, eating wet food and raw meat, so when she's turning 15 years old in August I'm hoping we'll be celebrating many more birthdays together. 😻
My 26 yr. is a very very picky eater. I got the best food for her. Weights 4.5 lbs. Name Sqeeky because her meow's sound like door hinges.

My Amber is 9 in August. I feed her wet and dry food and she has water. She goes into the garden but I bring her inside in the evening. I don't let her out for long in winter. She is my baby and companion. My best friend and I love her dearly.

I have a Seal Point Siamese who is 18.5 years old. 😁 Two other Seal Points as well, who are both 3.5 years old. Sadly those two will likely outlive me. 😞

But one thing about dry food, my Phoebe don't prefer wet food and likes more the dry one. All veterinarians here says that this is great, because she's not going to have problems with her teeth (she drinks lot of water) ... your opinion?

My cat was 4 years old when I lived in a village, once he was cornered in my backyard by 2 huge dogs and survived, he got wounded by other cats in fights and overcame it too..
Then I moved from a village to a city, center of the city..
I opened window and he went out, place he never saw before..
He returned after a week but died 9 days after that
i'm expecting my cat to pass away at any moment.😞😢
