that guy that interrupted you is a Syrian refugee, Lebanon has about 2 million Syrian refugees (Almost half the population of Lebanon) A lot of them live in the streets. The population almost doubled in a period of few years putting a lot of pressure on Lebanon's infrastructure... I hope that wont give you a bad idea about Lebanese, we don't go around ask people for money in the streets, it's the refugee crisis. Hope you enjoying your time in Lebanon, can't wait for more
Understandable. It says a lot about Lebanon and its people that you're welcoming refugees who were torn from their homes against their will. Nobody wants to be in that situation, and it's great that neighboring countries are helping.
I agree so Much with you brother! I have been to africa twice for volunteerwork and that made me change my perspective, I am 18 years Old now and gonna travel fulltime next year to do volunteerwork around the world! Love it!
By the way I love every time you ended the video with "Good afternoon, good evening, good morning" to me it does make sense because people are watching your video from different time zones......... Thanks for such nice ending words.......
Help a refugee when you come across one, they re not beggars, they're not only poor and homeless but human beings who suffered unbearable loss in every way, they are lost, hopeless and desperate, their only hope is people's kindness. Thank you nick for giving what you can
I hope you get more subscribers this year as you deserve it for the quality of the content you are putting out. Put's a smile on my face when i get a notification that you put a vlog up . Keep up the great work .
Big reach out from Canada, really enjoy all of your work, you are an incredibly wise man for your age, and I believe you are the jewel in your parents eyes, they must be so proud to see the wonderful young man their son has become...you give me such hope for the future of this planet...Namaste my friend...if your ever in Canada, you always have a roof over your head in the Toronto area!!!
Nice getting to know you and your thoughts a bit better mate :D Not trying to be too negative, but when you go to south america I would be a bit more careful with your camera. Probably depends on the country but i know in brazil for example, it would be a bad idea to walk around busy streets talking to the camera (even though its awesome seeing your interactions with the locals this way). I would literally say there would be like a 90% chance of getting robbed there if you do that. I lived there for 6 years and luckily never got robbed but pretty much all my family members and friends have been. I always was curious about that... in asia you have so much poverty but the crime still seems to be pretty low where as in south america the poverty there seems to cause a lot higher crime rates... I guess maybe in the asian cultures there is a stronger emphasis on doing the right thing, i dunno?
Yeah man, I would be much more cautious in South America. Yeah, and I think you are right with your views, although, I will need to visit South America first. Peace brother!
Yeah, I actually discussed this with my wife after I sent you the comment since she is from Brazil. We think its pretty much down to the fact that people in south america are still materialistic, they still all kind of want to live the american life... whereas it seems the countries in south east asia dont care so much about all that. It will be cool if you go man :D barely any travel vloggers seem to explore south america, maybe because of the crime like i stated above? I made 13 vids in rio and had a blast! :D
@@JumpingPlaces I have been to Mexico and South America. The people there are very friendly and I think you are right they are materialistic, however I am not so sure that is so much they want to be like US, I think the Materialistic came when many came over from Europe, Many came for a better life, this life was measured by society they left behind, Royalty, and Noble position meant wealth and status, so this lifestyle thinking was transported over during colonization of the America Continent. I have found there are many who are natives of the America Continent, both North and South, have the attitude you described of the Asian people. Just my IMHO
I agree, and it's the same in Africa. Last year (2018) when I was staying with local Pastors in both Kenya and Uganda, they warned me to not hold my phone (Sony, lol.) near the car window in certain areas due to theft. Thugs work in pairs - one creeps up from behind and snatches the camera, phone etc, and the other drives the getaway motorcycle. Fortunately I never lost anything, as I also travel very simply.
Wonderful Q & A Nick! Thank you so much for sharing your goals and aspirations! I was wondering about the skateboard, too, and almost asked that question instead. I hope in the future it’ll work out to skate! You just keep being exactly your badass self and you’ll do great things. I feel privileged to follow you here. 🙏✌️👍
Man this video is barely just over 2 years old and already you've contradicted some of the points here, and grown past what we see in this video, haha "I don't know for sure what's the most dangerous place I have ever been, maybe when I climbed a mountain" - went to Afghanistan "I've never done a sponsored trip" - went to Afghanistan "don't just go to a country that is a war zone" - goes to Afghanistan Not to mention other places like Venezuela too, you mentioned a lot of times during the trip that it was potentially quite dangerous. Keep growing Nick, great content!
underrated countries are one thing, but what's even more underrated, is underrated regions in rather frequented countries. like, my favorite city in the US is Boise, Idaho. Have you ever been there man? How peaceful, clean and cool that place is? Possibly my favorite region on the entire North American continent and hardly anyone ever talks about it.
Yeah, Another example I like is the Indonesian part of New Guinea. Everyone talks about PNG being such an exotica but how about the other half of the island? And how about the deep jungles of Borneo, DRC... Man, the places I wanna visit...!!!
Hi Nick hope you and y'all are feeling and doing well , I and everybody else who follow you or know of you on youtube , We all luv you and what you do also we know how down to earth you are and the fact you are bringing us all together and that is a rare gift to have and carry , But we all luv you for who you are and what you are doing gl and tc also Thank you n stay safe Nick : ) from ya boy in the uk Jack
Do you get all of the vaccines suggested before travelling? Like for North Americans it's suggested we get a bunch of different vaccines before we go to places like South America and Asia.
You're doing a GREAT job Nick! Great act, great messages and great explore! I envy you not confining yourself to a 9 to 5 job! I am one of those getting too frustrated of routines and would absolutely love to live my life the way you're living it!
Indigo Traveller You're so welcome. I loved your advice how everything was meant to happen, had you changed it, you wouldn't be in a particular space/spot, _That_ helped heal a part of my heart.
Yeah, people shouldn't do what they're told--always--yes, sometimes but not always. People get into situations, voluntarily, that cause them to live lives and do things INvoluntarily. Also people have "trapped" attitudes: "I must, I must," even when it's a bad idea. People forget to live their lives; instead they live their duty, or what they think that is.
can relate to your Toubkal trek you alluded to. That was a SICK ascent from Imlil straight up! The most outrageous thing was the Coke bottles they sold which sit directly in a ice cold waterfall... wonder is Jbel Sirwa is as dodgy
Being from such a neutral country as N.Z., people are more likely to be nice to you. It would be harder as an American, I think, esp. in Lebanon, a beautiful country with such a sad past and now under the control of Hezbollah, a group of terrorists. Israel is not a threat to Lebanon.
Badass videos! Have you ever been to America? If not, what places would you like to visit? Also, what tips would you give a person who plans to visit Egypt?
Thanks for answering my question about the meet up! Chicago, USA for me but I'm willing to go wherever as a handful of your viewers would, I'm sure. Budapest would be a good meet up city. Nice Q&A video...you are a gem!
I would like to see Iraq: an Empire that has remains. Babylonians, Persians, Assyrians. I'd like to do mission work in Africa, which turns people off sometimes; I'd like to see Central Asia big-time! Italy, yes; France, yes; but Central Asia and Tibet.
Wow great video as always. I have enjoyed traveling through your eyes. The way you travel is how I like to travel, away from the major tourist. When I was in the Air Force I was able to travel over most of Europe and live in places like Turkey. Turkey will always very special to me, the people there are so warm and compassionate. The sights and amazing. I was able to travel to Israel as well. The bottom line as you said, stop listening to the media and go and see for one's self if one can. I lived in Turkey right after the military took over, the media at home was denouncing it as well as many other western medias in Europe, what I found was the media was not telling the whole story. I am sure others will have their opinions, yet when talking to people across Turkey they were happy, and explained to me why the military did what it did and how they didn't really have problem. I was in Turkey also when the military slowly begin to transfer power and freedom back to people, like I said, there is always more to a story. Sorry for writing so long, I am 64 now I don't get to travel as much as I used to. I wish the whole world could travel and meet others. Through my travels I have come to believe we have to stop trying to make the world all the same, what I mean, there is nothing wrong with Nations having pride and Nationalism. It would be shame to lose the culture of many of these countries. In my 20's I realized that each country should be allowed to make it's own destiny and not be dictated by the world. Yes there are some countries that people aren't free in, I would love to see those people gain their freedom like NK, however just their freedom, not try to make them be westernized or Americanized or Europenized ( Westernized) Again thanks I wish you well, and keep you in prayers for safety in your travels Agape James

I forgot to add Georgia and Armenia in the friendliest country answer! Those two are definitely in the top 10!
Indigo Traveller im from lebanon
Indigo Traveller your IG is so sad.
Will you ever be travelling to the USA , CANADA ,SWITZERLAND SWEDEN GERMANY AMD OTHER COUNTRIES SUCH AS THESE.?
I meant northern hemisphere countries as I noticed most of your travels have been to Asian or more southerly destinations.

Yeah, that is a point, I will talk about in an upcoming vlog. I am very impressed with Lebanon's efforts and help towards the Syrians.
How do you know he is Syrian? Out of interest.
Yeah I'm curious as well. Was it his accent?
Accent is different between Syrian and Lebenese.

Cool beans. And thanks for that little Jim Carrey clip at the end, I didn't realize that was one of his lines. The Truman Show?

Thanks for picking my question. The answer has its own vibe but I think you should be a mentor at a certain point.
Fair enough mate, we will see!
Being from such a neutral country as N.Z., people are more likely to be nice to you. It would be harder as an American, I think, esp. in Lebanon, a beautiful country with such a sad past and now under the control of Hezbollah, a group of terrorists. Israel is not a threat to Lebanon.
