You struck gold Nick, Jimmy sounds like a very generous and cool guy, your place looks incredible! Look forward to seeing you in the mountains. Today I was a spectator at the Snowman Rally in the Scottish Highlands, fast and furious driving in winter conditions, ice and snow but heaps of fun, even though it was -2 haha! The situation around Lebanon, north, east and south is changing almost buy the minute, although I think your current location seems fine, stay safe mate!

In Bangladesh, we call it by many names as every single person has his/her own choice over it such as sandal, slipper, Chappal, thin sandal, juta(Bangla), paduka(Bangla) . By the way, the weather around seems really amazing and the beachside too.I think one thing I really learned from Nick is that Airbnb has a great competitive edge over other accommodation scopes all over the world. At the end, it makes me simply happy.

An advice for you is to be aware of some taxi drivers in Lebanon that take advantage of tourists and charge them more plus some private shop owners may do the same trick on tourists , other than that have fun in Lebanon and go to the main Sightseeing in Lebanon ( byblos , baalback , for ecotourism you can go to the mountains cedars or the jeita grotto , ... )

What a wonderful place you've got for a few days. Nick, make sure you try (or maybe you already have?) Za'atar: It's a herbal mix which is found in every Lebanese kitchen.Throw it on your hummus wrap and your food will come alive. As for flip flops, I only know the Egyptian term ''SHIB SHIB.''
Also, this place is worth a visit: The Sisters Olive Trees of Noah. A grove of sixteen olive trees in the Lebanese town of Bcheale. According to local folklore, the trees are at least 5,000 years old, perhaps 6,000 years old or older.

you should have made some reasearch or asked lebanese for special places to visit. you missed places like downtown which is filled with french designed buildings plus the parliment building is there. also an area called bourj hammoud which is the equivilent to little armenia in LA. its a country withing a country very cool and weird.

The term flipflops became popular in austria as well, but before that I would have just called them "klapperl" in my upper austrian dialect of german.
    Very good content as always.
